Senderos is the latest swoop for the Diavolo, but the Swiss international defender won't be present on the opening day of the season against Bologna.

“He has a small problem in his back and so we will have to wait 10 days or so to pick him,” Galliani explained.

So we signed a player with a back problem as cover for our starting CB who has a back problem?

The Senderos signing is a good end to our mercato, I think. Like many have said before me, I personally like this player. In the end its props to management for digging deep into their pockets to produce such a mercato for our team.
With this, we have a decent chance for fighting on all 3 fronts, methinks.

Oh, and there was an argument in previous pages about how Milan had not been able to challenge for the Scudetto under Ancelotti. I'd like to remind everyone, however unpleasant it may seem, that in those 7 years, we won it once. However, I'd also like to point out, that in the past couple of years, the entire league has been harshly affected by the Calciopoli. I've always been of the opinion that we were unfairly punished. And to be honest, if things had really gone our way, we probably would have been awarded at least two more Scudetti (we were runners up behind Juve), and been challenging for another one (instead of being docked 8 points). So if things went our way, then we would have had 4 out of a possible 7, maybe more if we'd bought some players like Inter ended up doing (Zambrotta immediately springs to mind). It was just down to circumstances not allowing that to happen.

It's time to right those wrongs though, methinks. A Scudetto this season would suit me just fine

Well,it wasnt the mercato we expected,the world class goalkeeper and defender and the powerful striker didnt come but Milan still did a great job,Ronaldinho,Flamini,Sheva,Zambrotta,Borriello.Also Senderos and Abbiati.I am pleased and looking forward to sunday.Altough we miss allot of players,we dont have to worrie.We are playing in the San Siro against Bologna,we will win the game and Kaka,Nesta,Borriello wil probably be fit for the second matchday.

Sheva was a good purchase,he will fit in i think/hope.

And a other thing,Galliani said in a interview to transfermarketweb that Kaka wasnt involved in the Sheva case and alos Kaka stated that it was a lie and that he is staying for a while.Dont worrie,Kaka wil remain with us until he dies.

But i noticed something interesting in the interview:Galliani said that the transfermarket isnt closed and that new purchases will come:

“The market closes on Monday, but we will make other signings following Shevchenko and Senderos,” he told Calcio Mercato.

I assume some young talents for the primavera will come and not for the first team....or not?Maybe he will suprise us>well i am not counting on it but it would be something for Galliani.

Paloschi will leave and Lyon are tracking Oddo because they need a RB.

Does anyone know what happened to our deal with Felipe (the young goalkeeper from Santos)? Did it go through - or was it never really on?

i think we own him, however hes on loan for santos atleast for a year...

Many people were saying they were counting on a world class goalie next season but its not going to happen,felipe from santos will come and defend the goal and dida or Kalac will leave...if we would get a keeper next season then we wouldnt signed Felipe.

So I hope his recovery date doesn't eclipse Nesta's...but then again that's one way of preventing him from goofing up the defense
