Paloschi compares to the dribbler-strikers? Let's say Sheva is more valuable before 28, Pippo seemed just start at that age. I really hope Kaka can turn to another Boban at 30, and I see no future of C. Ronaldo at 30.

I think this is great news. We have good cover, even though Oddo staying might have been a good thing. Anyhow, it seems that it's already done.

So in defence right now we have
RB:Zambrotta,Bonera,Darmian
LB:Jankulovski,Antonini,Favalli
CB:Nesta,Kaladze,Maldini,Senderos

We also have versatility as Bonera and Darmian can also play as CBs; Zambrotta, Maldini and Kaladze can also play as LBs.

I read a lot of comments about getting a replacement for Oddo, but looking at what we already have it's not a must.

Also, Brocchi seems to be gone as well and that is one of the greatest news this summer. I don't think there is any need to replace him expecially if Emerson stays healthy. We have Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Flamini, Emerson and Cardaccio. That is enough players and enough quality I think. In case of a HUGE emergency (meaning that at least 2 are injured then we can always call up players like Strasser and Osuji to act as back ups. Seedorf can also be dropped deeper for a game or two if needed. Cardaccio I think will be a very good surprize for us this season.

So far good mercato in my eyes. We have quality on the bench again which was something that we were missing for a few years now. The possibility of players like Shevchenko, Seedorf, Pato, Flamini (just as an example, doesn't mean that these have to be the subs)comming in from the bench is great.

The advantage is that he gets to play. A loaned player is not the same asset to a loaning team.

But he's a rarity not a 'type'.
He got real skill and great instincts. People are to blinded by flash sometimes.

I don't agree. There are numerous of clauses where the loaning team can use the player for free if he plays X games (unless his out with an injury).
If we want to reduce our wages we could just ask to the smaller team to pay a part of or total salary.
I also read here somewere that the loaning team wouldn't care for the player when he is injured or something, to be honest that's not true either if one of our loaned players is seriously injured there is a big chance he will come back to milan where they can recover with our doctors.
You want an example, We loan out Digao while we know he needs massive surgery why?
Standard dind't buy half of his contract, they don't own him but he won't be able to play for 6 months?
So this is a very bad deal since Standard will not take care of him according to some of you, since Standard didn't paid anything to loan him. Especially since the player was allready injured when he got here and surgery was allready needed. But why loaning him out then?
To answer that we go try and figure out where all our players go for massive surgery? Indeed Belgium (doctor Martens) only Ronaldo and Kaka this summer went to Brazil without a good result...
Maybe other Italian teams can't be trusted?

Besides if a loaning team get the luck of getting a talented player for free I don't see why they wouldn't benefit from it.From this point of view we should be rewarded to give Senderos a chance yet we paid 4 million to loan him.

Another reason pro coowning I've read is that players are more motivated, that's not true either. Do some of you really think that if Paloschi would't try his best to succeed at parma if it was a loan deal just because he knows that he will go back to Milan anyway? If he fails at parma he'll fail at milan to, if he doesn't score a goal for parma and plays miserable he won't get a chance with milan next year aswell but suppose he wins the capocanonniere in the seri B and plays incredible then milan will take him back and might give him a true chance. If that doesn't motivate a player than nothing will I guess.

So all of you thiung that Galliani does not understand that if he co-owns a player he needs to pay and if he loand a player he can get him back for free? Yes, thing is the first time Galliani is loaning a player in his 20 years in Milan and he doesnt know why exactly he is doing that. THERE IS A REASON why Milan is co-woning players, and not loaning them. That reason we dont know, it way be due to some inside under the table deals, it may be something else. We dont know it, but here ARE resons that are objective and reasonably and that is why Milan is doing that. they are not idiots.

More, Parma president said he payed "more then 2.5 mln for co-owning Paloschi". Juventus co-owned players like Chiellini, Blasi, Miccoli with Fiorentina ( which is a small club ) and they took all those players almost for nothing. those deals are made ahead, the price is already arranged in case he moves back, in case he stays - its all done. Trust me, its all done already.

Look. Facts point towards teams only loaning players not playing them. There are lots of examples. They only get to play if they are considerably better than their compatriots. Even Giovinco had problems starting in Empoli because he was only out on a loan.

The other normal solution for a loaned player to get playing time is to have a option clause, but we hardly want them to have that in this case.

Juve got back those players in the blind auction. My belief is that they got them really cheap because of a agreement with Moggi. Just check around about calciopoli and how Fiorentina was apart of it as getting help from Moggi and his system. Anyway, those players you mentioned again showed how co-owned players get to play.

Official: Oddo signs for Bayern

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Milan full back Massimo Oddo on a one-year loan deal, with the option of making the move permanent next summer.

Bayern have only announced it on their German site though.

Nothing official, yet.
------

Oddo deal seems official as he has already been replaced by Senderos in our list of defenders on ACmilan.com

Strange to let Oddo go on loan. There is no reason to loan out a player that is already in his 30' ies. Unless he wanted to leave himself, which I doubt. And if he really did want to leave we would have sold him, because now there is still a chance of him coming back. That's what I don't understand, we make no money by loaning him and we will probably get him back next year. That means we just "gave away" a much needed right back.

I have a feeling we are going to get a new RB, no idea who though.
(But Zapata can play RB too )
And we have to end the mercato with a purchase..

Reports are saying that the deal will be done soon,he will move to Lazio.

Oddo leaving us isnt bad,we dont need him,Bonera is very good on the RB as he proved last season. So is Zambro gets injured then Bonera can play RB,no problemo.

Football Italia were also saying it yesterday and at the midfield we have to many players,Cardaccio will be staying with the first team so Emerson or Brocchi have to go...I think the deal will be official today or at least tomorrow.

I don't know why didn't we just sell him? They rate Oddo pretty high.

:
I don't think it's a free deal in most cases the loaning club pays some sort of rent. Just as we are paying to loan senderos.
