Wow! Almost 4 milion euros for Brochi, i can't believe Lazio gave us so much money for him!Wow!

If i was Lazio's president i wouldn't give more than 1.5M.
The next WOW is that Milan gave Oddo for loan! Why, to gain experience because he is young? And then he will join us again when he will be 33, to do what? Wow!
And i can't believe that Bayern sign him on loan and they accepted to pay him 3.5M for contract! WoW!

I don't thik it's necessary to bring Marzoratti back as we have sold him. I prefer to use Antonini because he is another type of fullback compare to Marzoratti by having better offensive ability and experience.

I do think, Bayer München rate Oddo very high. From what I read on their website about Oddo, they seem very delighted.
Bayern's chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, was even very happy as the deal is finished (source).

This is acceptable as they faced Milan couple of times and especially when Milan gave very tough match in München when Oddo played there superbly.

For God's sake, it's Kalac who didn't save the goal last year.
I totaly agree with you Jeff, Kalac was thet guy who lay down when someone shoots at our goal, and Kalac was on the goal when Cesc made a shoot from 40m so slowly that my sister would catch it.
So please dont blame Dida.

About Arsenal's goal, your sister would catch it, I have no doubt. But your sister will be sent off by the the guard before she enters the stadium.

The goal of Kalac is debatable. In my opinion, I won't give 100% for Kalac's mistake, it's more Fabregas shot than Kalac mistake. I just watched the replay again and I am still sure with my opinion.

I just can't think why people include Kalac when talking about Dida? Kalac was brought to be Milan number two, so don't expect him to be world class GK! Never! He was not young when Milan brought him, there is no way he could turn to be a WC GK. And he is paid for GK number two. Not a salary for world class player! Be objective guys.

Hehehe

Logic, to find lower-status GK in order to defend Dida.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. I am unfamiliar with Antonini, so it's good to hear that he can play RB too. I think he even played RB during the Birra Morati game. Is that true? If so, then I guess Oddo leaving is not that bad thing.

Exactly! What if we had no Kaka - would we be as good as we are? No. It's his unique star quality that helps our team win. So, while it is a team game, it is certainly affected by the actions of the individual. In Dida's case, his poor play COST us points IMO.

But for me personally, my dislike of him took off after that unforgivable Celtic game. I had to hear so much crap from non Milan and non Serie A fans about his stupidity.

But why was Kalac put in that position in the first place??? Because Dida sucked!

That the key here again is the whether Dida deserves to be defended. No, he made some howlers and we all know that.

But I see a problem, a disease really, spreading through some of the Milan fans, here and over the world: That if Milan didn't do well (e.g., out of champion leagues, not winning CL, not winning SCudetto, not beating Sampdoria, Reggina...), then it's the fault of these few individuals; ironically, this indicates that they have the ability to influence how Milan performed in a season, which we know it's not true.

But when Milan failed, some fans begin to pinpoint a few individuals, to find a scapegoat: Gila, Favalli, Brocchi, and Dida. While some arguments are valid and to-the-point, many are redundent, over-the-board, insensitive, and insensible.

The attitude, not the fact, becomes grossly disgusting.

J
Great Post I agree 100% even if sometimes I am also a culprit in that regard (especially to my overzealous anti-Gila sentiment) I hope that I and the rest of us can improve in not singling out certain players for our anger. I think with some of us the players we dislike tug at our pet peeves. For instance the sticklers for consistency and professionalism will hate R99 and Dida. Those that look down on lack of effort will dislike R99, Ronaldinho. Those very high on morals will dislike $heva and possibly Gila. The users who have no tolerance for the less skillful players would hate Brocchi, Gila Boriello etc etc.....we all have to grow up and accept that our diversities make the world what it is.

One small point though....you can't get THAT upset that some fans dislike a person or a management policy. These actions are also out of love for Milan. So if someone hates Gila/Dida/Brocchi/R99 etc I tend to think they have the team's interest at heart.

So Brocchi is gone, well thats a good thing. Now nobody is leaving and nobody is coming, this is our squad and i must saw its pretty good.I hope we can play samba-soccer on the field. Also good news about Kaka:He will be fit for the second matchday against Genoa.Nesta will probably be fit for Bologna on Sunday but if he is not fit than it isnt bad because we are playing at home and we can trash Bologna easily.

These are individual games, but these mistakes aren't infrequent with him these days and more importantly they cost us important results. Putting the Celtic game aside, his mistake in the Inter match effectively cost us the match (which we weren't looking like we'd lose). Many looked at that match as the match that could reignite a poor start to the season, and the loss proved to put an even more pressure on the side.

In the end, football is a team game, and these players cannot have these influences without the others. Kaka was excellent in 07 but without Seedorf, Pirlo, Nesta etc all finding great form we wouldn't have won the CL. Juve last season had Buffon, but without the goals of Del Piero and Trez they wouldn't have reached 3rd. Dida's cost us and it has influenced our season (he as an individual has done this), but he alone is not to blame, as there were numerous other problems with us.
And you are right; but like you said there are many more games that Milan should not have lost but lost and not because of Dida (Kaladze, Bonera, Gattuso, etc.).

Why not Gattuso? Had he covered our midfield better last year, had he had that burn of desire which we didn't see last year, Milan might have been in Champion League.

Many times we can single out one person to be responsible for the loss, and rightly so. But making some of the worst comments about Dida as if he is solely responsible for the downfall of Milan last season is laughable, on one hand, and painful to see, on the other.

Kalac's goal is debatable, there is no doubt about it, but it's interesting how people will come to defend Kalac for it saying that it's a great shoot rather than Kalac not being able to save. Of course that's a fantastic shoot, and not many GK can save it.

But the key here is not whether he saves it: The key is why people do not blame Kalac for letting it in.

Just imagine, for a second, that it's not Kalac but Dida was in goal and Fabregas scored.

MM will be in chaos crying Dida to fly back to Brazil the second the goal took place.

And that's exactly where the situation has turned disgusting in how we treat some of our players.
