I'd play the next game like this:

Abbiatti
Zambrotta, Bonera, Maldini, Jankulovsky
Gattuso Pirlo Ambrosini
Shevchenko Pato Ronaldinho
Kaka should be back for Genoa

Though I didnt really have the time to do this, I went and watched a recording of this game on the net. My opinion is that we have much to look forward to in the coming season and that there is no reason why with the players we have, that we come up short of winning anything. We have all the potential possible to win whatever we can. There are some who dont think we have the potential and have mixed feelings about our acquisition of certain players.
Yes! Nothing is a gurantee. But if we all went and watched this match with an open mind, irregardless of the result, no one can deny that this team and this squad this year can go far in achieving anything.
The rest is all up to the players who make or break this club. Let us not fret over the things that we cannot control. I and many here as supporters have one main obligation to this club. Support it... support it... support it. Anything short of that WILL undermine the confidence and morale any player needs in accomplishing anything for this club. Lets not undermine our potential with our odd skepticisim, disbelief, and in some cases the downright nastiness, when we the most greedy segment of this entire club dont get our way. Otherwise, this club is sure to fail.

FORZA MILAN!

I have watched the match once more.
I hope to be wrong but doubts still exist, it will be an hard work,
Carletto will suffer hell, probably more than me when I try to write in a correct english.

About Maldini, Jeff, it's sure he is our flag but it's also true that he is no (more) a real sureness behind.
He made a clear foul into the box (penalty) on Di Vaio in the 2 half, and the red card would has been logically due, beeing the last man.
Di Vaio....

It was very clear the lack of a power striker in the middle of the box continues to be a real handicap for Milan .
I think it has not been a fortuitous case if our goal came from a cross into the box and our best header scored.
Nothing new, as usual when we play at home against a team that defends with 10 men.
About R80, his presence determines the position of the other players : his type of play requires people that run for him, in order to cover or receiving his assists, otherwise he can't show his magic;
at Barca there was Etoň and only a DM (Motta, Edmilson or Yaya Tourč) with both the external defenders - Zambro and Abidal - to pushing on their sides.

Result? Barca finished defeated by counterattacks and with the precise decision to sell R80.
They admitted how hard and difficult is to handle De Assis and his family with a team.

I hope Borriello can help us, but if there is $heva in... love with the boss... and he decides all: R80 and $heva are over there, at Milanello because Silvio wanted both them, maybe for a biz reason,
probably because of their names, everything you want but the needs of Ancelotti's team.

In the past season we were an away team, just because, playing away, we found more spaces;
so next game vs. Genoa will tell us if we are going to be the same even this year .

(last year, we won 3 to 0 )

Which minutes in the second half do you mean? Really strange to read your comment as no one even the commentator mentioned about 'wrong decision' about Maldini against Di Vaio.

I saw that incident in the second half and it looked like a foul, but as it was only highlights i didn't see it good enough to mention it, but now that gino did...

If it's the 'tackling' by Maldini about after incident arguing handball in Bologna penalty kick area (76th minutes), it's not fault at all. Maldini only blocked the ball by making sliding tackling BESIDE Di Vaio (not from behind for example). Maldini didn't tackle Di Vaio at all. Di Vaio even didnt' protest at all, I mean he didn't react at all after that 'incident'.

That's why it's really strange for me to read ginoformaggino's comment.

Siregar, it's strange , really strange you haven't seen it. Re-watch the 2 half, I don't remember exactly the minuntes but if you take a look at the contrast happened in the Milan box between Maldini and Di Vaio you should admit it, there is a penalty all the life, first Maldini uses his right arm to push Di Vaio - which is in advantage of position; then, Maldini moves him with the hip, it's penalty and red card, no way.

I asked you which minute. I gave a Maldini vs Di Vaio in the 76th minute after supposedly handball incident in Bologna PK area. I've watched this scene at least two times tonight, and I saw nothing happened. As I wrote before, Di Vaio even didn't react anything.

So, I wonder which one do you mean?

EDIT :

So, I just read El Fre post and realized that he watched a scene involving Maldini and Di Vaio from the highlight and I just watched the highlight and got the scene (I think), it's in 58th minute (on the screen it's said 58.xx). I watched and watched the scene and I do think it's not a fault. If you looked at again, you would see that Maldini ran (in one line) to catch Di Viao (Maldini didn't run behind Di Vaio, they ran in two different line or path) and then marked him from SIDE of Di Vaio and not from behind and Maldini didn't push Di Viao. His arm was on Di Vaio's arm-shoulder but he didn't pushed him or pulled him, it's just an action to mark your opponent and then made sliding tackle. So I don't know why you are so sure that it's a fault.

Di Vaio is not Inzaghi who could (in the past) fall in the PK because somone touch him very softly. So, with what I watched, I do think it's not a fault at all.

try these videos

Mediaset minute 2'36"

RAI video minute 4'36"

I watched a slow motion of this action taken from behind from which it is absolutely clear the penalty foul. I try to find it

That's what I mean on my edit-version.

If Ref saw it as a fault, it would have been so harsh. I just couldn't imagine it because what would be the reason? Maldini pulled Di Viao's? No, he didn't, it's only a soft bodycharge (armtouch to Di Viao's arm). Tackle from behind? No, Maldini made it BESIDE Di Vaio.

you may think what you want, siregar, no problem.
imo, you haven't seen well.
Maldini is at least 1 mt. behind Di Vaio.
Rai comment : " Maldini seems in delay, an intervention that caused the strong protests of Bologna".
Ref hadn't seen, or didn't want to see, I don't know.
I'm sure, repeat, absolutely sure, believe me, there was a penalty for Bologna.

nope, that was not a penalty...

replayes(detailed ones) show that Maldini only put his arm for less than a second on Di Vaio, and he didnt fall, after that he tackled Di Vaio, but it was on the ball, and that was a perfect tackle from a pretty good Maldini
