Well, people can say alot of stuff but the truth is that the MGT did alot this off season.

Now some of the moves might not be what we thought as the greatest move but whats done is done, just support the team.

I mean, years ago, a lot of us here probably wanted Saviola, Riquelme...but we ended up with Pirlo, Seedorf, RUi Costa and Pippo. Look at where they are now.

Then a few yrs ago, when we signed Kaka, I am sure some of us here would rather Milan sign other stars at that time, but looks how Kaka is playing now.

As for Zambro, guys, I remembered people here did not like the idea of getting Cafu, but once he did helped us settle for the RB position for close to 3 yrs. I trust that Zambro can do 5 yrs of good services for us. Then 5 yrs later, most likely there will be someone who is even better than D. Alves or Rafinha to come along.

I think after the 5-0 thrashing of Chelsea, Berlusconi's pride came out. He didn't like seeing his Milan being teased and pushed around so he sacrificed a bit and signed off Sheva and Senderos. I think the reason Sheva's deal was confidential is because he the PM of Italy and that most of the lawyers in Italy would want to follow his cash to make sure he isn't putting his money in places he's not supposed to...so that could be a reason why that deal was left confidential.

No we didnt

Pirlo was the star of Italy U21, Seedorf already won EVERYTHING with Ajax and Real Madrid, and was world class midfielder by all means. Rui was payed 40mln back then as he was one of the best playmakers in serie a and Viola idol, and Pippo was absolute striking class that was in a fight with Del Piero and Moggi so he was sold for also around 40 mln.

Kaka' was the best player of the Brazilian league and was wanted by all big clubs but Milan got him for cheap coz of Leonardo connections, and Zambrotta is still one of the worlds best fullbacks ( left and right ). He is 31, that is NOt too much for a defender. Those are all top class players, none of them was a gamble.

I don't know if signing unprooven Sanderos and unfit-and-bad-form Sheva can be connected to the pride. IF Berlu's pride came out, the two signings were something strange. Pride ---> cheaper and unfit players?

If Berlu's pride came out, he would have splashed his money to buy the right players with right quality that we need, WORLD CLASS defender (a must) and powerfull striker just like he (or Galliani said it?) told us before.

I think, the pride of Berlu is much much more than what we saw on signing the two players (Sanderos and Sheva). I am still confident, Berlu's interest in Milan these days is not like before.

World class defender...once again yesterday I almost cried when I saw how Corluka played at the RB. Like he is playing it for 20 years now! Brilliant performance again. I cant understand why Milan payed same ammount of money for Senderos when we could have bought Corluka who can play CB, RB and even DM and is 3 times better player...

It really is a shame. Maybe next year?

Don't understand that bit, we've only got Senderos on loan so we've not spent £8.5 million on him

I can't see Corluka leaving Spurs after just 1 season, especially as he has one of his best mates in Modric there with him. If, by some chance, he was to leave next summer, Spurs will be asking for ALOT more than £8.5 million.

Can someone tell Kaka's agent to STFU? He's really pissing me off and spouting nonsense. It's always good to see him adding unnecessary speculation to things.
On a separate note, now that City have unlimited money, we'll see if players are more interested in the traditions and history of clubs, or if they'll go chasing the money.

We payed 3mln for loaning Senderos, and we will pay 7 mln more if we want to sign him. Or its 2 now and 8 later, something like this. So its around 10 mln.

Exactly, Tottenham asks for tons of money for their palyers and our chance was now. Well, either way, after Berlusconi bought back his friend $heva Milan couldnt buy non EU player anyway.

True, but we don't have to sign him, we can just send him back to Arsenal

Maybe we could have loaned out 1 of the Uruguayan kids to free up the non-eu spot?

jtelly, according to Tuttosport ( ) Kaka is open to a move to Man City!

That new City's president is so rich that he has made a market list with Kaka,Fabregas,Messi,C Ronaldo and others to make a dream team.
I don't know if he gonna make hes dream true, but i have a big question......if can the best players of the world to play all of them in 1 squad? And of course to win everything.

Remember Real M with galactikos.

zambrotta a "second hand lion"???loool

tell me excactly where would thiago neves play?intead of whom?

do you have any clue how much did berbatov cost to sign him too?? is he really worth it??

thiago silva??where does he play?did u even know him before we wanted him??

you must be the only person that wanted simic and brochi(my god)!!or even cafu serginho(they're teens..) and gila??!!!!hahahaha

im sure that if it wasnt the bologna match u would say that dinho is sth like a two legged dog with no eyes or a second hand *****cat!!

To be honest with u,yes i would prefer mexes instead of senderos..and drogba instead of $heva..and cristiano ronaldo maybe,or buffon because abbiati is nothing i guess..
Zambrotta is a second hand lion... dont care if he is italian....
Berbatov is a proven goal scorer ( net Banger)... done it in Germany and England and for his National team... May be we dont watch the Bundes Liga...
He is worth every penny... Sir Alex hardly make Mistakes... Pippo in our starting eleven for a rebuilding program... it think not!!!!

I know we hav much respect for our great servants but we must also know and accept the fact that the hav past their time... if they want to hang around the club get coaching job with the youth ranks... Paolo and Pippo...

I am very much glad that we got rid of Simic, Gila and Company...

Thiago Neves... Fluminese... or some of us dont watch the south american leagues... he can be a good sub turn Starter... he can sure score from outside the box... and he is young and good, somthing that is not really associated with most of our starters...

Senderos... He is that glass brick in any building... he will crack under pressure... Wenger would not get rid of him if he had any promise... Wenger got tired of beating that dead horse so he past it on to someone else... but because we were desperate we fed from the bottom of the pond...
Thiago Silva would have been better...

A bit harsh...but yeah he's 31 and his pace isn't close to the likes of the Quaresmas, D. Alves's, CR7's etc.....would it really hurt us so mcuh to get a FAST skillful player on the wings

Apparently some here think ALL epl players are crap/overrated....I mean if they could say that about Fernando Torres anyone else is fair game

I agree and disagree to an extent.
Paolo and Pippo will always be legends here no matter what. That said their role should diminish proportionate to their physique.... The fact that we have acquired such rubbish replacements like $heva and Senderos (even though I like Senderos) means that we will STILL rely heavily on them both. To me their replacements should be of the calibre to immediately replace them, so that they will be called upon ONLY when absolutely necessary. Us relying on a 40 year old CB and a 35 year old striker is disgraceful

As I have said many times this whole mercato is a huge PR campaign with a lot of signings with little attention paid to quality, congruency and necessity.
One of the biggest needs is an appropriate goalkeeper which again we have to wait on.

nope it would hurt, im not convinced CR7 is good. DAlves and Quaresma are unproven. Wingers=weak

Paolo and pippo will be great for another 10 years, then we can talk about reduction of minutes....
