Ancelotti Sacked?

Milan: Terminato il vertice. Ancelotti 'E' andata bene'

If this is true (which i'm not sure it is), then this is an absolute disaster! He's been in crisis talks all afternoon with Galliani and if this is a result then the bald fool should go too. What on earth is Ancelotti supposed to do when half the team is either injured or not around to train together? How was he supposed to manage the team and enforce his tactics when Galliani & Berlusconi always press their ideas onto the side and make their badly concealed threats?

However, contrary to the above report, it's now said he's survived the talks and is still the boss. It's all so confusing! This though is the best result and Galliani should just let the people who know what they're doing (i.e not him) get on with it.

Even the bit in Italian does not say he was sacked. It just says there was a meeting to find the best solution. Ancelotti believes to have found it.

Sacking him now, with no available (and capable) replacement in sight, would be foolish in the extreme.

I think that he needs the time (which with all that took place this summer, he didnt get) to turn things around.

I believe he can. I believe we will. I believe in Milan.

No, I believe it's not about the sacking that they're having a meeting for. Galliani blames the WC qualifier. He said that now we have 3 weeks with no internationals. In 3 weeks we're going to face Zurich in UEFA Cup, Lazio and Inter (giornata 5). It's interesting to see what will happen next

That really isn't an excuse..Most of inter players too were in the internationals and inter still won with even 10 men down..See milan with 10 men down can't do that...really

We've believed too much and he still doesn't come out with the good results

Thats ok gal__kenny...u dont have to if you dont want to...matter of fact, I stated that I believe wasnt asking you, or anyone else to.

You have your opinion, to which you are entitled. Fine. I choose to retain faith. You of course, are free not to....though I do request that if you have an opinion, and wish to state same, that you give some level of credence to it by making suggestions as to who you think would/could replace him...and please dont mention Wenger, Lippi, et al, who cannot/wont coach our team.

Ancelotti suvives Genao post-mortem

Carlo Ancelotti has emerged from today's meeting with Adriano Galliani with his position at Milan intact.

The Diavolo have had the worst possible start to the 2008-09 campaign with embarrassing back-to-back defeats against Bologna and Genoa.

After last weekend's 2-0 loss at Marassi, the pressure on Ancelotti has become intense and there have been suggestions that his days at San Siro are numbered.

Ancelotti was called to Milan's headquarters on Via Turati today to explain the poor start to the season and emerged in a positive frame of mind.

“We had a meeting to find the best technical solution and we found it,” Carletto maintained.

“We just discussed the difficult time that the team has been going through.”

Sporting director Ariedo Braida, chief medic Jean Pierre Meersseman and fitness guru Daniele Tognaccini were also present at the meeting.

It's a fine line to judge: I don't know if Inter has injury issue with their key players like we do, and even if they do, they have GOOD BACKUP... we? um....

I think it's good that they did something like this: It showed that the board cared, that the coach cared, that the management has thought about 'sacking' Ancelotti but decided not to (for whatever reason).

Hopefully this is a signal to the players that this is now up to them. The board is with them. If they can do it, DO IT NOW. And if this still doesn't clear things up, then Ancelotti should go.

Now all of us should be less burden by the news whether Ancelotti should get sacked.

instead, the focus should be on: How do we win the next game?

hmm even the official website has commented and said "Reports from sky sports that say Carlo has kept his job only because of Leonardo who went against Braida and Galliani's wishes are completely untrue"

if Carlo is to be sacked because of the position Milan are in, then the Bald headed one should be sacked also... who chose to retain Maldini, Favalli, Seedorf and co?

Im really sick of 1 good result 3 bad 2 good 5 bad etc etc.. Carlo is a good coach but his ideas and time at Milan are done. He has to go either asap or at the end of the year but then we probably wont have a scu. and hopefully finish top 4.

We need to say goodbye to older players and I love maldini but i really think he should of retired last year.. He is an amazing player but age is age. He should come on for some games that are against easier teams or the ones we have a nice lead on.

And to the people on th site that get mad at people like me that give our opinions, you too must be getting sick of hearing excuses after excuse. "lets look forward" , "we will train harder for next week"," we found a solution" , etc etc..... Its really getting old. They should come out and say we apologize to all of you for not giving our all for these colors.....

Forza Milan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OCmilano: apologize for what? and after apologizing, then what?

To find a solution.

And that's what Carlo just said. Whether he will do it or not, I don't know, but at least he says he finds one.

Apologize but do nothing is worse than not apologizing and do something.

jeff you're telling me this guy is going to find the solution by the next game. What is he doing in the summer what is he he doing during the friendlies? These are times i think you experiment and you find solutions on what might work and what may not. Like i said before he is a good coach but these excuses get old.

Do you or have you ever gotten sick of the way they played or what the staff used as excuses?
