Rossomero: i dun think u can find 7 out of 10 people that will say he is mediocre.. actually, from the players he requested.. you can tell he is a very good coach as he too knows what the team weakness are and what is needed to strengthten the team.. I think his only weakness is, he cant seem to put together a consistent team with what he is given. Sure he did win the Champs League in 2007 but if you see how the team played, they were very shaky every single game except that 3-0 whooping of man utd in San Siro. Every other game was a Major struggle and only Kaka brought us through round after round.

Jeff: we had a terrible season the last one and maybe we can blame it on luck and stuff like that. But this year, we started off where we left off.. how is that acceptable? I'm thinking Rijkaard only because he took a Formless and Mediocre team like Barca to the La Liga and Champs league in a short time. Maybe he can do that too.. But IMO Donadoni would Probably be a step back coz (A) He's inexperienced to handle a club like Milan (B) The players won't even have respect for him let alone listen to him after that Disastrous Euro he had with Italy.. If we have to sack Carlo ( which i am for ).. then Rijkaard is the only potentially improvement replacement out there IMO..

Really good posts here.
There are many who want the sacking of Carlo now. Ok, I'll play along. Some of you have concluded that we are in such calamity that a revolution or just short of that needs to happen NOW. Fine... say we get that.
As Jeff has pointed out, NOW WHAT?
Anytime there is a shakeup at the demands and whim of demagoguery, as in a revolution take heed and harken, that it can get a whole lot worse than where we are now before it evens gets better. My estimate? Give or take 2 years with us winning not a darn thing until the 3rd year.
Now seeing how people cant wait for longer than a season or for that matter a couple of gamedays so early in a season, I'm certain the usual suspects will continue their moaning and groaning with no end in sight.
Seriously folks! You cant expect the change some of you are demanding to happen this instant without realistically accepting the consequences that come with it.
With bi-polar mood swings depending on a gameday, I really dont think the lot of you are aware or can accept the collateral damage.
If all you wanting this drastic and big change can tell me now that you are willing to wait 2 or more seasons for us to turn around this team, then by all means we should sack Carlo now when we have the time to do it.
If you cant do that, then a good deal of you fellows are fooling yourselves straight the world called fantasyland.
Its either that or you folks are scoping to opt out of any accountability to your reasoning already.
There it is plain and simple.

i believe carlo will stay even if he lost from lazio i have my opinion based on every sunday i am watching milan that hes not for us but its pointless to say same things its boring on the other hand every team in football history have to close a circle some of em dieing some of them reborn milan always do that its not the first end of circle year 2000-2001 the things was worst than now and we change 3 coaches and a tone of players to come up to a new era anyone who love this team know this and he will w8 1 or 2 years but i think these 1-2 years had to be the previous two new team without new coach you can have only with fergie and wenger (they are both bosses on theyr clubs ) in milans classic model of working this cant happened and it will be really mess if will lose this year too of starting smth new

^^^ I honestly and sincerely hope that lineup is speculation. We have a good CM in Cardacio who has shown that he does deserve some minutes for Milan. We should rest Ambro for the Serie A game (first time I must have said this since..........) and play one of our 50 other DM's. No need to play those 3 DM's together...who is going to be the link between defense and attack ? Let's hope it's indeed speculation...there are two more days to go.

Just great...Pirlo has picked up an injury running at training today. It will be assessed Friday.

I completely forgot about checking our Uefa Cup sqaud list before posting my line up, so anyone who wants Cardaccio in the team (like myself) can't have him as he's not part of the 25 man list.

Milan (squad):
Dida, Abbiati, Kalac;
Maldini, Kaladze, Zambrotta, Jankulovski, Favalli, Senderos, Bonera, Darmian, Pasini, Antonini,
Emerson, Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Flamini;
Pato, Inzaghi, Seedorf, Borriello, Kaka, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho

So, with that in mind and Pirlo's possible injury, i'm going to change my line-up a bit.

---------------Abbiati----------------
-Zambrotta--Bonera--Kaladze--Antonini-
--------Flamini------Emerson-----------
---Pato--------Seedorf-------Ronaldinho---
---------------Boriello-----------------

I agree with Rossini & Nalx that we should rest Ambrosini & Kaka for this match. We'll need both of them fresh for Lazio if we're to stand any chance of beating the early league leaders. Plus as Nalx says, Kaka just played 90 minutes and with his knee, there's no need to push it, let him rest fully for the weekend.

I know Ronaldinho has fitness issues, but we're short of options so he'll have to play. He's still unpredictable enough to cause problems.

Some reports are saying that Ronaldinho was out partying after the Brazil v Bolivia match, which could be why he played poorly against Genoa.

Would be a shame if has such a small amount of self-control.

I really dont think so, its the same as in barca, after each bad game he played reports would go and say the same things.

I can't speak for the rest but for myself, i Can accept the collateral damage that will ensue after a coaching staff change ( maybe 2 - 3 straight losses ) before things start to get any better as the team get used to the new team style of play. But with continuing with Carlo, we prolly will only see the same 2 system of play that 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1.. Other teams know that and they know how to counter Carlo's system.. Carlo doesn't seem to be able to make the right changes when things go badly and that i think is his weakness.. Its either the starting formation works or its a bust..

1 more thing about Carlo is, the under-performing players that has his trust doesn't seem to care that they are playing badly and they are just putting up half-hearted efforts coz they Know Carlo will never drop them until they get suspended or injured. They will start whenever they are able to not when they deserve to.. Sad Fact.

..wow Cardacio not on the Uefa Cup team but Emerson made it........? Does this list get revised for the latter stages or something?

Anyway revised formation:

Abbiati; Bonera, Senderos, Kaladze, Antonini; Flamini, Seedorf, Emerson; Ronaldinho; Pato, Borriello.

Ronnie and Kaka should play a half each. Nothing too interesting going on with the substitutes bench...maybe give Darmian 20 mins to stretch his legs if we're ahead/if Senderos/Kaladze aren't 100% fit yet

If its similar to CL, than after the Zurich game, when we enter the group phase, than we can make couple of changes and additions to Uefa squad.

So if this is true, then Pirlo's injury is a good news... but wait, there is still Emerson who will play ahead of the young player from Uruguay...

Now I wonder how Milan can actually win with Pirlo being out ... gosh.... injury just never ends...

Yes. This list is only for the first 2 stages of the competition. We get to submit a revised list in the early part of next year to allow for new players in the January transfer window, assuming we get that far

-Sigh- just our luck with Pirlo. At least he'll be able to rest and hopefully regain some form. Bet we'll see Emerson on thursday instead ...

good day every body
I did not post any thing after the match because I was sick of what I saw on sunday, boring and predictable football without any real desire by both the players and the COACH to do any thing.
I guess every body here knows that I am an anti Carlo fan and that I have been criticizing him even when Milan was playing nice football and delivering the goods, IMO some people here defend Carlo without a clew ( some others will say that I offend him with out a clew as well), what i want to say is when Milan when then its Carlo who brought us the victory and when we lose then its the players this is what many of you say, and some others says that the players are the ones who brought us the victory and Carlo always brings the defeat ( I am one of he second camp ).

But to be honest I say this for a reason, some time you have to be realistic and judge by what you see not what you believe i.e. Paolo Maldini who can't be a Milan player any more and Carlo keeps playing him whenever he is fit (Sheva and Ambro is another example).

Keeping playing Favali is also hilarious why on earth does this guy play football I guess its only Carlo who plays a guy like him.

You may say he has never been given the tools he needed! Probably you are wright but once more its his mistake to accept this situation, I mean the guy is rich enough to buy his dignity if he was not given what he wanted then he
had to resign or accept to be blamed for the result.

I have nothing to add but to wish seeing hungry players like Pato and Borillo ahead of the finished ones Sheva and.........................Paolo.
