Favalli?? I don't rate Antonini but I'mm guessing that we might be able to breathe easier with him instead.

My opinions have NOTHING to do with yours. I don't like him because I think Milan deserves better. I want a FAST skillful wingback....like what we had in Serginho...or at least an upgrade in Janku (who is also very skillful)...not another "meh" player like Antonini -who can be good at best

He wasn't meant to replace Serginho. He was meant as a utility player. Nor is he "meh" or average. He's a great player... who will play as a good squad player... and Antonini is a full back player. Heck, I think Antonini is meant more of a replacement for Favalli. You can't have a team with all world class players... there needs to be some squad players.

What makes Antonini great?? is he FAST ( a BIG BIG requirement for fullbacks)? Is he a great dribbler?? Does he score a lot of goals for a defender?? Great crosser??

Yes he's pretty fast and had pretty good ball control... he did impress me when I've seen him play. You need to chill out. He adds to the squad as a player who has heart and wants to give something to Milan.

And great defenders are lacking these days.

I'd go with Antonini rather than no one. I'm happy some on here are not in charge of Milan. We'd be in the Serie B if that were the case.

You're way too critical and you would never give him a chance.

Abidal
Evra
Cole
Clichy
Maxwell
Agger

That's the 6 left backs from the best clubs in the world. Doesn't it bother you just a little bit that ALL of our LB's are slower or worse players than ALL of them?? Janku is probably better than Abidal even if he is slower...but they are generally all better than Antonini. We can't survive if we keep setting low standards like this.

sorry to get in between you two, but just to clearify something to Giancarlo, Antonini WAS brought in TO REPLACE SERGINHO... this is not my opinion, Ancelotti and Galliani said it. Tassotti recommended him after his good season at Empoli and since he had managed him in Milan's primavera a few years ago.
