It's kinda coincidental that he chose to come back after the season in which Dida was finally uprooted from the #1 spot. Before that, he avoided us like a hot potato after he was loaned out.

That is called profesionalism. He is practically "Milans property" and plays where galliani wants him to play.

I know you like Dida, but Dida is completely out of form. So far Abbiatti was good, even very good.

I myself think that Milan needs a GK like Frey, but for this year Abbiatti will do.

Agreed. None of the 3 GKs we have is really convincing, but right now Christian has been playing well and he deserves to be the first choice

Recovered from injury, yes, but he's nowhere near top form right now. Zurich represented his first official match since January. He needs playing time, but that itself has been hard to come by.

Actually he's badly out of form. And it's shocking how bad he was against Zurich. If Zurich had better strikers it could have been worse. I just hope that Abbiati stays in good form and doesn't get injured or anything... because seriously I don't trsut either Dida or Kalac...

Sure I respect what Dida has done in the past, but he's just a shadow of what he once was.

Debs will become famous soon enough
I for one am very happy to see Abbiati back where he belongs! The fact that he's doing well is only icing on the cake!

It doesn't really matter who plays of the three of them. It is a fact that all of them, Kalac, Dida and also Abbiati aren't, or are no more, those keepers a team with the ambitions of Milan need.
None of them is a national team keeper. None of them can be counted to the then or fifteen best keepers in the world. And if you want to win titles again, then you have to buy a new, younger (they are all too old.. Abbiati 31, Dida 34, Kalac 35) keeper who has the outlook of becoming a great keeper. Someone like Hugo Lloris, Boruc, Frey or Adler.

But at the moment we must be contend with Abbiati. I wished we had bought a keeper in the summer, but the managment didn't think it was important.
I'm sure Abbiati will do his job, but he isn't the keeper who will win games for us.

Christian Abbiati is a fascist. He admitted in an interview given to La Gazzetta's magazine. He also votes for the right. Interesting excerpt below. Generally sensible though.

Here's the Goal.com version.

Methinks they could've picked a better picture for the article, however.

if you actually READ the article, he didn't say such things.. he said that he supports SOME aspects of faszism, like PATRIOTISM.. he DOESN"T support racism, war, hitler, etc...
