Christian Abbiati our #1

So Abbiati's a fascist, or at least fascistoid. And I thought he shaved his head 'cause he was going bald...

Well, I was starting to think he could stay as our goalie beyond this season or that getting a new goalkeeper was at least of minor importance. But these declarations are just sickening, and a disgrace to the club. If I were in charge of the club, I would sack him right away and condemn him in public. But I guess with Berlusconi these remarks won't have any negative effect on Abbiati and his position in the club.

Although Abbiati chose a stupid choice of words, I don't think what he said is particularly bad. He isn't a fascist, he only said he agrees with some of the ideas of fascists, such as patriotism and the values of the Catholic church, which is fair and many people who completely despise fascists wouldn't necessarily have an issue with these opinions.

He quite clearly says he's against Hitler, war and racism.

The only contentious argument against what he said is when he said he liked the capacity of fascism to secure law and order for people and how it guaranteed security for people. Quite what he means by this isn't clear and could be an issue for many people.

I agree with Ceceves, it's sickening and a disgrace to the name of A.C.Milan, but we all know what our "dear" president thinks about all that so it's no surprise...

what he says or what he does is his job but i think that we in january need to buy a young keeper like Ustari cause i don't think he will be on form for a long time.

Can anybody actually quote the part where he actually says "I am a fascist"? In neither the original article Hasan put up or on the goal.com article has he said he's a fascist.

The basic concept of fascism is to have a single authorotarian government ruling, which is a concept he appears to agree with. If he feels this provides a solid structure then that's his choice, and based on his words this is as much as is said.

He has not condoned the actions of fascist groups of the past (and in fact has spoke against them in this very same interview) and has agreed with ideologies that many on this board agree to too (how many of you are patriotic?).

His interview is neither here or there. It doesn't say "I want to opress people and build a world with only people of my choosing", but neither does it clarify precisely what he would like.

I may seem sympathetic towards him after he agreed to some Fascist views, but at this point I don't think he's said anything to really warrant any real hatred, even though I do disagree with his political belief.

However, without doubt, his comments don't help the image of our club.

The fact is that people have to be very careful what they say about such things. He's either a complete idiot or a fascist.
You can't go around saying stuff like: "I really like Nazis, except all the killing and war stuff..."

It simply isn't appropriate after everything that happened in WWII.

Crimes that happened should be condemned for all times and only an idiot or a fascist could put words "like" and "fascism" in the same sentence.

Read the words of abbiati carefully:

I agree, an international club like Milan cannot tolerate a declarations like this. Either he is a fascist or he is not, there are no graduations.
