a 4-2-3-1 w/ kaka and gorky perhaps dropping a little farther to collect balls? But the the question comes... no place for pirlo, no place for pato. I think thatd be most effective way to use them.

yes, I'm sorry, I meant to write "CAN'T"... however he can field 14 players in the game if you consider the subs... to me Gourcuff position is between Ambrosini and Seedorf... taking minutes from both of them...

Anyways, his foot has power, good passer, his free kick definitly have improved than when he was with Milan, the one thing I want to know is whether he cant tackle or not because if he does, he could be a central midfielder with a deeper role because really the more attacking role is for Kaka

well, he needs work on his defensive phase, but he's not that bad, he's not a Pirlo... yet

And will never be, he is not a DM, he is more attacking minded than that, Pirlo is a pure DM with good defensive and attacking ability, a very deep laying midfielder, where as Gourcuff is more offensive than Pirlo

you never know, once upon a time Pirlo was an offensive player aswell

but iwas talking defensive wise, Gourcuff still has a long to way to reach lets say Seedorf's (defensive) level

if i remember correctly, he did cost us a goal or two last season from poor defending, but i dont blame him, he wasnt in the training Session when they practiced the Offside Trap

i agree.... we need to play a 4-2-3-1 if he comes back...... rotation of kaka, dinho, gourcuff and pato at the 3 spots (slightly different looks depending on who of the 3). Bori uptop. Flamini, gattuso, ambro, pirlo rotating DM spots.... perhaps not pirlo.... when pirlo plays we'd have to switch to 4-3-1-2...

however i agree w our asessment its a compelte waste of his abilities to play him in a deeper mf role. U wouldnt do that w/ kaka...so wh gorcuff.... for example if we played 4-2-3-1 w/ him and kaka on sides.... they could drop back and get balls.

i would! Balotelli has world class striker potential. him+pato could kill for over a decade

Gourcuff has decent deensive qualities. He had mental and fisical problems in Milan and wasnt played at all. And then you cant show anything at all.

In his debut game he played like this:

--DM(rino?)--Gourcuff-
-----kaka'---

And he palyed an excaptional game, changing sides and defending well. Scored also. But then he got injured and his form droped heavily. Later on he was a sub for Briocchi! ????

I expect Yoan to be fully able to play in that same role in AC Milan. With Pirlo,Flamini/Rino,Kaka' and Dinho next year. He has enough moving qualities ( something Seedorf actually lacks as a CM nowdays, except for few games per season ) and has enough composure and technique, shot, heading, has grown phisicaly and mentaly a lot.

yoan will 90% be back with us. Its just important we say bye to some of our palyers like Emerson and maybe Seedorf. IF we are to play Yoan. In reverse case there is no point of getting him back at all.
