No, it wasn't. It is not a foul every time the ball hits the hand. It is only a foul if a player handles the ball deliberately.

Vadim, the hand was separated from the body, and stopped the movement of the ball(which could easily result in a goal). That is a penalty regardless if it was deliberately or not.
Just imagine if the ball was going directly in goal and he`d stopped it in the same manner...would the fact that wasnt deliberately matter.

yes but the ball was going to the goal, we could have scored from that shot by Janku, it doesn't matter if it's deliberate or not he should have kept his hands on his body

Kastriot, that rule confuses the hell out of me to be honest. But what I always thought (and the FIFA rules say the same thing) is that it has to be deliberate to be a PK. I don't think even the refs know for sure, but you definitely have a point.

This year we have the best Serie A ever! The first top 10 teams are only 2 points away, and packed at the top half table !!!!

Antonini is really impressive. Keep playing him, and bench Favalli forever!

his hand was sticking out of his body, the rule says if its to protect his face it should be 'attached' to his face/body...

Flamini got a yellow for the same move and nearly the same distance

OK, I just found a link:

Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact
with the ball with his hand or arm. The referee shall take the following
into consideration:
• The movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards
the hand)
• The distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected
ball)

• Position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an
infringement
• Touching the ball with an object held in the hand (clothing, shin-
guard etc.) counts as an infringement
• Hitting the ball with a thrown object (a boot, shinguard etc.)
counts as an infringement

Couldn't have said better myself, exactly what I had in mind..

Bonera was good, managed to block a few shots and did some well-timed tackles. Janku was hardworking throughout, I thought he should've scored on the first half. Antonini did well to fill in for Zambrotta today, especially after Samp lost a player, he was much more adventurous. Maldini.. umm..

1. it was a penalty and a yellow card as that was the criteria that the ref was using. Starting with Flamini's yellow on a SAME hand ball.

2. We again started too confortable and slow. Later on they started to fight for real. We cant let this happen anymore. Milan needs to be 100% sharp from the beggining in EVERY game in serie a.

3. Dinho palyed better in 2nd half as that role with 2 AM's ( Kaka' ) is his natural one. In first 45min he couldnt play with Pato and Boriello, and lines from midfield and forwards were non excistent.

4. Pato was HORRIBLE. Boriello not so good also. To use boriello is simple, like every big target man. But we still havent found right rithm and confodence for Pato. His skill also seem to decrease...Milan needs to be carefull with that boy, he cant win 1 on 1's anymore...

5. Pippo in and not $heva Carlo really likes Andriy, we all know that.

6. Antonini - finnaly a proof Antonini is 3 times player Favalli is, and can play well in LB and RB. Good game by him.

/. Flamini I adore! Great player.

FORZA MILAN! Now cancentrated in the next gamne from the first minute.

Agree with this, he was consistent if nothing else. But he was consistently wrong.

Good victory bij Milan.Ronaldinho is starting to show his skills,he is deadly.

I hope we can now cut the crap about good old Emerson, because he never played bad,he was just injured now he also gets fit just like Dinho and if Emerson is fit than he is very solid and good.We have a awsome midfield now Emerson is playing good.
