Warro Zambrotta is not available and Bonerais taking RB place. This formation of Milan has a problem on its right side so I expact Gattuso to play in the middle today and Flamini on the right to try to compensate the lack of Zambrotta.

Is Antonini injured??

Its nice to hear Nesta is doing well and that Pirlo will most likely be back soon. Its normal we cant expect Senderos to play yet in first 11 as he is obviousely not match fit and Carlo has a crosh of "tactical master" Favalinho

in ANY case, we must take 3 points even with the worst performance ever! Come on dinho score your first hat trick

Then for the last 3 games before the tough 4 in the end we'll have Zambro, Pirlo, Maldini back.

Forza Milan!!

Oops! Looks like Zambrotta won't start...ah well...Bonera is at the very least, usually defensively solid.

1-0 FT. Another semi-lucky 3 points against a really bad Chievo team. When you dont play better than this against a team like Chievo, it will be hard to keep up with Inter as the season progress.

Abbiati earned us the three points today. Let's not forget his contribution. Our performance was not good enough.

A great result albeit not as comfortable as hoped. There were moments we really should have done better although it's no shock we've won as we were the far better team. In possession we were good most of the game, but there were a couple of short periods where Chievo were causing problems.

The first half was like watching two different sides. Prior to the goal we picked up from the Lecce performance, not giving it all but being a constant threat. The penalty was correct as Kaka's marker gave a clear tug of the shirt. After the goal, we started dropping deep (something I know mrki won't like) and we allowed Chievo back into the game.

After the break the team started fairly well, we held possession and were looking to build on our lead. However soon after Chievo had a short 5 minute period of intensive pressure and we had few options up the field that could ease of the pressure. Pato's introduction was important in this respect as he held possession and alleviated the pressure in defence. We created quite a few chances after his sub but didn't take them.

Players:

Abbiati - Confident and solid performance.
Bonera - Not his best, but solid
Favalli - A reliable performance and rarely made mistakes.
Kala - Less solid than Favalli as at times he was good but others looked shaky
Janku - A strong performance, has improved a LOT this season.
Rino - Excellent again, his ball winning is huge for us
Flamini - A good performance, worked hard and pressed the Chievo side well with Rino
Seedorf - A very important performer today, as he worked hard in both attack and especially defensive duties.
Kaka - At times brilliant and less so at others. However, he played an important role in the game and linked superbly with Dinho.
Dinho - One of the best games he's had in a Milan shirt. He ran at opponents, was full of tricks and some great bits of play.
Pippo - Anonymous most of the match unfortunately.
Pato - Didn't quite have the finishing touch, but a good sub. He did what was needed of him and that counts a lot.

We weren't stellar but we did the job. The number of times we've done that this season is why we're challenging at the top. However, there are a couple of areas we need to work at including taking chances and looking to build on leads (especially against teams of Chievo's calibre).

FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We seriously have finishing problems...

come on now, with all the strikes that we make we should atleast win 5-0 each and every game(exceptions here and there..)

Jankulovski should be moved further up the field when we have striking problems, he's a good winger, but considering the lack of defenders today, i'm ok with him at the back

Really now look, we Have Zambrotta(not today, but usually there), Jankulovski, Flamini, Seedorf, Kaka, Ronnie and Pato all in one formation, they're all good at striking/finishing, and we score only one goal, FROM A PENALTY? come on :|

EDIT:

Looking at the stats of the match and then looking at the score gives me such a bad headache..
Milan Chievo

57.7%
Possession 42.3%
15 Shots 7
7 Shots on target 2
