hilight?

Any good hilight?

I saw one on Youtube, but that is short, and in very low quality.

try footytube.com

I think Kaka` is just way too tired after coming back from Brazil non-stop. I"m glad that hei s going to get a 10-day break from now while R80 can certainly step it up.

Last night

to be honest I reckon you went to Pompey and thought it would be easy but you seem to have forgotten that we are in the English Premier league not in the 3rd div so we was always going to be dangerous...with a little more luck you could have been beaten but there you go...I enjoyed the night and it made my son happy ( hes a AC Milan fan) ..respect to your fans tho.....

I'm disappointed you think that. To be quite frank the amount of media bullsh*t and hype that surrounded this game was disrespectful to our team. All you kept hearing was crap like "It's the catwalk kings against the alley cats" or Adams spouting rubbish like "They won't like playing here it's not good enough for them". What a load of nonsense! Anyone with any knowledge of football knows that Serie A has alot of small, intimate grounds with extreme passionate supporters, playing at Fratton park was never going to be a shock to the system. It also seems noone actually realised that this was our second string team, we had 7 players in the starting 11 that wouldn't usually make the first team, not to mention Zambrotta just coming back from an injury, this along with the fact that we've publicly stated that the Uefa cup is not our priority this year. So in effect it was Portsmouth 2nd XI v Milan 2nd XI, not that you'd believe that if you heard the vommit inducing commentary on Ch5, if you believed that guy you would have thought Milan's team had never lost a game before. Best comment was that the noise being generated by the 20,000 Portsmouth fans was better & louder than that created at a full capacity Milan derby! I laughed my ass off at this.

About the game itself, i thought it was very entertaining given the atrocious conditions it was played in, which not alot of people have highlighted here. The first half was very even. When Milan played it about, our quality on the ball was clear as we pinged it around in little triangles. When Portsmouth attacked down the flanks, it was clear they could cause problems with their pace out wide (something i highlighted before the match).

2nd half was mainly dominated by Portsmouth, for about 25-30 mins and then we finally did something right and got a deserved point out of the game.

I know you're a hardened Portsmouth fan, but you have to admit that apart from the goals Dida didn't really have a save to make. You threatened quite a bit but apart from one ball in the first half where Crouch should have gone for goal instead of heading it back across the box, everything else was weak or off target. This isn't an attack on Portsmouth, it's just the truth of what happened. In the same vein, we didn't do much at all either except hit the woodwork 3 times, though each time James didn't have a chance of saving the shot. So if you want to talk about luck then i think you had your fair share and we more than deserved our point.

It's hard to appraise our performance, it was after all a 2nd 11. We know we are weak against pace out wide and so this was shown again tonight. Our midfield 3 were combative with out being threatening, which we all knew anyway. Flamini did alot of defensive work and should be praised, he has to start more matches. Emerson did ok on the ball, was calm but we know he's not going to offer anything going forward. The whole defence were slow and stood off too much, but then we know that Antonini & Favalli are average at best. Zambrotta looked out of sorts, which i attribute to his recent injury and Senderos actually did ok. He was solid and reasonably calm, maybe he could have done more for the first goal but his performance was ok. Kaka was clearly tired and did not play well and i don't think a Shevchenko & Inzaghi partnership should be used ever again, Shevchenko didn't play well at all.

Milan are clearly a side in transition and we did ok, although against a better side with Portsmouth's pace we'd have been beaten. All in all it was a great game to watch, the right result and both teams got positives out of it.

I think most of what I was about to say has been said by Jim, even if I disagree with him on the performance of the side.

Anyway, I don't think we came into the game with an attitude that it would be easy, but at the same time we clearly aren't taking the UEFA cup seriously (as Jim said, 7 of the starters yesterday are bench players and 1 of the normal starters had just come back from injury). We could have been beaten and tbh, I would have accepted defeat as I wasn't impressed with what I saw.

Respect to you too, I've read your posts since you joined and it's nice to see a respectful supporter of our opposition

I will say only one thing:

Senderos and Carlo Ancelotti are jokers. And Im not laughing when I see them in Milan's colours. And $heva? buy yourself a nice car from Abramovic's money and go to London for a tea party. Sellout.

And with all circumstances included: Milan is 10 times better team then Torino and Portsmouth, but the fact that we dont have a normal plan how to play against those teams is a different story! We had a midfield with Rino-Flamini and Kaka'!! And couldnt play normally... In Torino we had Pirlo-Seedorf-Kaka'-Dinho-Gattuso and lost the midfield in 2nd half completely!!!! WOH IS THAT EWVEN POSSIBLE???

Pirlo didnt play today from 1st min and he plaed completely unfiot vs Torino in a more important game. Pippo never came in in Torino aldoiugh we still had one more sub!!??

Our tactics are laughable.

A game for me that is best quickly forgotten, except for some crystal clear learnings:

Favalli and Senderos are not, nor ever will be, a good pairing, and Senderos, with his height, should not have allowed the 1st goal...poor arial ability from a tall CD...Favalli...the less said about his performance the better, even if it wasnt "really" bad by his standards.

Antonini is a defensive liability, and should play as a classical winger in a 4-4-2...he has no place as a defensive back....unless its against real minnows...or teams that play with no width.

We cannot therefore expect to keep clean sheets with this "B" team, especially if the midfield that is supposed to cover for them is over-run as we were for periods last night...were it not for the crowd, one could have easily felt this was a mid-week "training" match for our B-side...we were much too casual in our approach.

Add to that Kaka´s generally poor impact on the game, and it was certainly not a recipe for a guaranteed win...I refuse to even discuss $heva´s 70 min "no show".

So, insofar as our winning this competition is concerned, the writing is clear from this match. Unless a better defensive pairing, or the performances of the "B" team CDs drastically improve, we will be facing a potentially embarassing exit. It seemed that only when defeat was staring us in the face, and with Carlo´s "inspired" substitutions, that we were able to snatch a point, and save face.

Well, lovely goals from R80 and Pippo are always things to celebrate, and that is what I will also take from this...

Your constant ******** is laughable.
At first I tried to argue with you. Then I tried to ignore you.
Yet, every time I am forced to read this imperfect mixture of sarcasm, fatalism that you come up with.
FFS, cut the ******** finally.

I mostly completely agree with mrki except (mainly) the bold part.

If you guys dont agree with mrki, PLEASE DONT USE THIS SIGN : ********
it doesnt matter 1 * or 10 *, I dont understand what does it mean (i dont care if that being censored).

What Milan did against Porstmouth was boring thing except when Milan were attacking to make the draw level. Before that crappy performance. It's including in Serie A (winning only 1 goal with making thje fans' hearts run quickly hoping the opponent wont score to make the score 1-1).

i'll highlight the positive thing from the match:

being away from home and 2-0 down, we still managed to equalize with 10 minutes on the clock. if that is not DNA from a world-class team I dont know what is..but unfortunately this is typical of milan..to struggle against weak teams and only to wake up with their back against the wall.. i hate this stupid mentality.. we should have never been 2-0 down in the first place. I kinda blame Ancelotti for this, it is so typical of Ancelotti's teams to always have psychological problems.
