I like Pasqual is not a bad player at all, he is pretty good.

The Dossena rumours won't go away, he's not an improvement on what we have already so i hope we leave him alone.

Speaking of rumours, i hope there's no truth in the Hamsik & Zhirkov to Juve stories. Two players we should definately buy.

We've also been linked with a loan move for Elano.

And I think a versatile player too. From what I've read he could play as CB or LB role.. Nice solution considering our problem mainly because of lack of good CB or LB.

I feel like I should watch Palermo play more often on TV with all this Bovo talk...it would be good for Italy as well if the guy steps it up to the next level.

Chelsea To Sell Alex To Fund Kleber Deal?
Blues boss Luiz Scolari is considering offloading one Brazilian defender to Milan, to buy another from Santos...

Chelsea are ready to sell Brazilian centre-back Alex to Italian club AC Milan this January, according to a report in the British tabloid the Sun.

It is thought that the Rossoneri are keen to add a defender to their squad in the transfer window and while they have been eyeing Arsenal's William Gallas, Alex is a more attractive option as he is 5 years younger at 26.

The Blues are apprently willing to let the former PSV star leave Stamford Bridge for a fee in the region of €10.5 million as they already have a replacement lined up.

28-year-old Brazilian defender Kleber, who is most typically a left-back, is wanted by Luiz Felipe Scolari who is a keen admirer of his qualities and was responsible for rewarding him with his first international cap for Brazil.

It is believed that the London-based outfit could land their man from Santos with a bid of €2 million but although he is interested in returning to European football, Manchester City might yet steal his signature.

"I had a year in Europe with Hannover and the experience was great," said Kleber.

"Robinho told me he was going to suggest me to the Man City board. If he gets me to play in Manchester, I will be thankful for the rest of my life.

"It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I’d say ‘yes’ straight away."

Kaka has urged Milan to buy some decent players to reignite our scudetto campaign. It remains to be seen if the players Milan want to buy and the players Kaka wants us to buy are of the same quality.

I still hope for Zhirkov for LB. That is my New Year's wish

from goal.com. Given seems a good player to replace our bunch of keeper. Maybe a pre contract for a move in Summer.

Arsenal Target Given Not Unhappy At Newcastle
A source close to Shay Given has denied reports suggesting that the 'keeper will seek a new challenge and move on this month...

Rumours have been rife suggesting that goalkeeper Shay Given will leave Newcastle United this month, with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and even Arsenal reportedly interested in his services.

Thus, much has been made of his hasty exit after the weekend game against Liverpool. It was a strange game for the 32-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who was in stunning form despite an eventual 5-1 thrashing at the hands of the league leaders.

However, the Sunderland Echo quotes a source inside the Given camp as saying that the goalie merely wanted to get to the dressing room after a heavy defeat, rather than sprint off to phone his agent.

The insider said of Given, who has been a Magpie since 1997: "Shay's as committed to the football club as he has ever been.

"He's always given his all for Newcastle United, and that will never change.

"Against Liverpool, he was frustrated and that's why he left the field so quickly.

"He's unhappy with how things have gone on the pitch in the last two games, but to say he's unhappy at Newcastle United is 100 per cent wrong.

"He just wants the club to turn a corner and to repay the brilliant fans for their support."

Toon boss Joe Kinnear has also ruled out his impending exit, although it could be a different story if real bids of Ł8 million plus start spurting from the St James' Park fax machine.

Gattuso has publicly said this team is capable for fighting for 3-4 games, and we need to be capable to fight maximaly for 10-15 games.

he indicated that moduls that win scudetto are Cappelo+'s Juve and Mourinho's Inter, a phisical sides that are cinical in finishing and are strong on the field. (Milan is the opposite.)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Our team is built irrationally, we need to invest in specific players and have concrete game plan and tactical sistem to insewrt players in. We have none of that.

For a real team Milan lacks some italian young players, enogh wuth Brasilians. Thiago is ok, but enough already. The mentality is extremly important, are samba does not win scudetto.

Right now Gallas or Cannavarp are best solutions untill Nesta comes back next year, and maybe even Gallas+Dossena, as Marek is unable to play LB ( finnaly someone decided to see that and to insert him in midfield ).

Dossena failed in EPL, but that dosnt mean he is not a good palyer. We've all seen him play for Italia and we know he can be great. I would take him.

Gallas/Cannavaro+Dossena now, less then that will not help us.

Although his initial transfer request was rejected, Kolo Toure could be a good player to go for. He's much better than Gallas (less of a trouble maker too), but like Alex he's non eu (at least i think he is).

mrki, i honestly don't think dossena is a great leap forward. You're right, he can become a good player again, but defensively he's just not up to it. Right now i can only see him being a waste of money.

Given would be a great choice for a keeper in the summer. Even though he conceeded 5 against Liverpool, he really did put on a magnificent display and if it wasn't for him Newcastle would have conceeded another 5 on top of that.

Many people I know don't rate him but personally I would be happy with Toure. 27 and can be a leader sort of player too.
