I don't honestly see how you replace Kaka....unless you shell out all the money Man City paid us to get Messi....plus the loyalty of Kaka cannot be replaced.

I hope none of us blame Kaka if this deal goes through....this is Milan just not being able to turn down a huge sum of money....if Kaka leaves it will be because we showed him the door. I am depressed

BREAKING NEWS: Seedorf Would Be 'Surprised' To See Kaka Leave Milan For Manchester City This Month

The Dutchman has given his honest and in-depth thoughts on his team-mate's immediate future, following the tabling of a world record bid from the world's richest club...


Clarence Seedorf has said that he would be surprised to see Kaka leave Milan for Manchester City this month.

The Citizens began negotiations earlier this week and are set to double the world record transfer fee in order to tempt Milan to relinquish their star man.

Though the player himself has said he hopes to retire at Milan as long as the club want him, if the Rossoneri have indeed accepted such a bid, it remains a possibility that he could negotiate a move to the City of Manchester Stadium.

What has been made clear in Milan, though, is that the Brazilian will not leave for money and that the project ongoing at Eastlands would have to appeal to him. City are currently fourth from bottom in the Premier League.

Clarence Seedorf, Kaka's Milan team-mate who has played for great Ajax and Real Madrid sides in the past, has revealed that Kaka's attitude has not changed in recent days, despite the chaos surrounding his future.

"These are marvellous figures," the Dutchman told Sky Sports News of the hyper-offer.

"It's very clear that City is sending a message to the world that they want to become one of the big clubs in the world in a very short time.

"I think the message is loud and clear for everybody.

"We're very good friends. He's used to the attention, we're all used to these types of things, though the amount changes - but we're all professionals and we know we have to deal with it in a fery professional way.

"He's a very important asset for us in the squad [and] for the club.

"He's still a young player, but he has done six or seven years already in Milan."

Seedorf would not be drawn on whether or not Kaka would want to move to Manchester City - if an offer is accepted, as has been suspected.

"He will think about it, but I cannot talk for Kaka, this is a decision only he can make, with his family," said the Dutchman.

"It's not something that you are going to be taking it easy about.

"It's a serious offer. I think everyone's considering the pros and the cons of such a movement.

"Kaka's a great professional and he's always committed to his work with the team.

"It would surprise me if he would leave in this month, but on the other hand, I don't know what the personal motivations could be from his side and also from the club."

He reiterated that the move will not be motivated by the money from Kaka's perspective, but that he could be doing Milan a favour of sorts by agreeing to go.

"When you make a change like this, you are not just changing because of the money," said Seedorf.

"That is not what he needs - he has a big contract already - when the player in general makes a change, the money is a consequence of the choice made, because of the project behind it and the new motivation that you can create for yourself to perform at your best and even better for the future.

"He is earning a lot of money already, it is not going to be life-changing for him, even to get a couple of million more.

"I know him also as a friend. if he may decide for a change, it would be for a long-term project that he could be an important part of, where he can make a difference within a team for a long-term project. He has to be motivated by the project, not the money.

"It's a difficult situation. Kaka is a player who has done so much for the team, so much for the club, so much for the fans. From that point of view, this would still be doing something important for AC Milan: bringing a lot of money for the club on which they could build for the future - if you want to see it from a positive side.

"On the other hand, he's still 26 and he could still play a number of years here in AC Milan, playing spectacular games for the fans of AC Milan, who all love him, being a great team-mate and a club icon for the years to come."

Having been the subject of similar but slightly less spectacular interest from Real Madrid in recent years, this is not entirely new territory for Kaka. Seedorf has sympathised with the fans, saying, "They're all worried.

"We're practically used to it. Maybe this offer is more concrete than it has been with Madrid. The reaction of AC Milan is maybe a little different than they had with Madrid.

"The fans are the ones who always suffer because the fans are always dream of keeping their best players. Having one of the best players leave is definitely not part of their dreams, so we really understand their feelings."

Kaka is said to be flying to Manchester this evening with his father (who is also his agent) to discuss the project, with strong rumours circulating that a bid of €120 million has been accepted by Milan, but with no official statement yet released as confirmation.

His decision has a lot to do with it too, yes we may be allowing it but he making a decision to leave also means he doesn't want Milan. I am not necessarily criticizing him or otherwise but just saying...

If Kaka` really moves, then I'll probably not support Milan anymore. Why?

1) It's twice in a role we sell our best player -- sheva, then Kaka`.
2) It's stupid beacuse no one can fill out the role.
3) The draem of Milan is to win, win CL, win everything. When you let Champion like Kaka` to go, not beacuse his forms dips or anything, but because of $$$ (or even his own personal likeing), it's just plain stupid. The objective of Milan will thus not be in alignment with my goal of supporting a team.

We've never been so near from selling him ... I'll cross my fingers tonight by going to sleep not to wake up with articles like "Official: Kaka' to City" or on Italian sites "Clamorosa offerta: Kaka' al City per 150M" !!

I'll still support Milan, I'm a Milanista forever, Milan is a team, not just Kaka', but that hurts to know that our management is ready to sell our best player, the most recognized player in the world (attitude, style of play, etc) whereas the guy, at start, didn't want to leave.

I hope that the game against Fiorentina won't be his last one ...

With such a move, football, Serie A, Milan AC, Kaka' would all lose class !!

Take it easy Jeff. its just business. when you have a car valued at 25k and you get an offer for 50 you wont think twice. am not saying kaka is a replaceable player but you cant just ignore that amount of money after all milan needs at least 4 players to be competitive and i dont see berlusconi giving money for rebuilding.

But Kaka` is not a car.

And even if Kaka` is a car, will you sell your best car to acquire 4 OK-car and win nothing?
