Siregar, I think you are missing my point.

Kaka at present is worth (just as an example) 40 mil Euro on today's market. Man City comes in and triples that ammount.......then I think Milan should accept. Not force Kaka to leave but just accept simply because nobody is worth that kind of money. Now it's up to Kaka to live up to his words and grow old at Milan simply because I don't think anyone is forcing him to leave. Milan is just letting him negotiate terms. If he decides to stay then great. If he goes, then it will certainly be because he feels like he is worth a lot more then the 9.5 mil a year he gets from Milan, which I think would NOT be a reasonable thought. Consequently obviously Milan feels like he is not worth as much as 130 mil, which IS a reasonable thought. People.....we bought Kaka from somewhere just like we did almost every other that playes for us. Sadly.....that's what football is today. Get mad at Berlu for contributing to that, but don't get mad at him for accepting a ridicilous 130 mil euro offer. And no......I think it has nothing to do with pride.

If however Milan accepts a 40 mil Euro offer (his real value just for the sake of this arguement) then Kaka has the right to be mad and accept City's offer......and also we all have the right to be mad.

The more the media hypes this up, the more I read breaking news, the more I hear of Kaka saying that as long as Milan match his ambitions, yadda yadda, and especially with the clubs current posturing, which methinks, is a lot different than in the past, we could be faced with the unthinkable: the departure of Kaka...

I sure hope he doesn't go, but if so, then bye bye Kaka!! Hope u don't get relegated!

In all seriousness, if he doesn't go this window, he is surely gone in the summer.

Such is life! We weren't likely to win anything this season anyway, so, 4th place, and £100M to spend in the transfer mkt/build a new stadium...sounds good to me!!

Let's just hope we don't use the money to buy Becks!! LOL!!

Milan accepting Man City`s 100 mil is not the end of the world...however sends the wrong message to the world( for us).....meaning KAKA has a price!!! yes, at the end of the day Kaka will refuse to go to City, cmon guys its Man City...a club that is second in its own city.....however: What stops Real in the summer to go for Kaka...they know that his not untouchable and its not a secret that Kaka wont mind switching to Madrid...thats the real problem for us.

If reports are right Calderon will step up from presidency tomorrow....what about the new President...who would he go for!! What do u think??? one may say that 100 mil is a huge amount of money, and Real cant pull it off....but remember how much money has in his disposal a new Real President( check history)...IMO that is the real problem.

Whatever you said made a lot of sense. You are right, the club has a responsibility to accept a ridiculous offer like that, but in the meantime, you also have to understand that Kaka also has the responsibility to accept a ridiculous offer himself.

This whole thing about loyalty is a two way street. If Kaka's present value for his service is 9.5 mil a year and somebody triples that, why exactly would he turn that down? If the management of Milan doesn't have to live up their words and keep Kaka at all prices, then Kaka has no obligation to turn down a major offer just because he said he wants to stay in Milan for life.

The soccer world is indeed a business today, which is a very sad thing for me. I think you have to understand it when some milan fans are threatening to turn their backs on this team for that different fans love this team for different reasons. Some people love milan because of players, some because of the history and some love it because of its personality. For those fans who love milan for its personality, they have every right to stop loving this team because over the last few years, this team has drastically changed its personality. At one point milan represented strength, loyalty, and brilliance; and now, they are weak, stupid and a bunch of sellouts. When the attraction is gone, there is simply no reason for fans to stay.

I remain a Milan fan, regardless of who we sell, as no player is bigger than the club. If a club is foolish enough to spend 100M on a player, then, so be it.

Agreed. I don't know how Galliani and the others will be able to look the fans in the eyes if Kaka is sold. This is making me so angry. Just refuse the damn offer, and it's back to business as usual. This is not just about selling Kaka, it's about selling the pride of the club. For the second time in less than three years, we are losing an iconic player to an English club. I really can't stand this humiliation anymore.

Come on guys, this is all blowen out of the proportion. Kako is a very good guy, religios, loyal. He said he will not leave unless Galliani wants to sell him. Now if it comes up to Kaka he will never leave. He loves us the fans, who give him so much love week in and week out for years now. He loves Milan, his family is happy in Milano. He knows if he leave he will break millions of hearts of Milan fans. I love Kaka, he gave me so much joy in my life, and even in difficult moments in my life, Kaka would score for Milan and help Milan win and make things easier for me and make me happy and other millions of fans. He know what he means to us and if is up to him to decied he WILL NEVER WILL US.

I think Alan Shearer said it best in his interview, what if the owner of Man City decides to no longer wants to pay for the club. Since money to them is not an object, they will just sell the club below their value and with new ownership coming in, they probably do not want to pay all these players high wages.....

The thing is that I would not blame Milan if they sell Kaka for 100M, b/c to be honest, I don't think any club will reject an offer of 100M for ONE SINGLE PLAYER. Even ManU will accept a 100M offer from Man City for C7. Having said that, I will be disappoint that Kaka leaves and be quite proud of Milan for actually making a smart business and reinvest that into new players, like 20M for Santacroce, and 15M for Zapata, 30M for a striker and 20M for Zhirkov.

If Galli can actually pull off sending Dida, Kaladaze and Seedorf to Man City too, that will be awesome business.

However, I think at the end of the day, Kaka will stay in Milan and I truly believe that Maldini will pass the Cap Armband to Kaka at the last game of the season. Even though that will cause Rino or Ambro to be piss, but they will undertand that Kaka is the heart and soul of Milan and will eventually accept that.

Are you really comparing this situation to sheva's? sheva left because of his own choice(or his wifes) because he wanted to raise his childern in an english speaking country blah blah..kaka even yesterday said he wants to grow old with milan he said the only time he will leave is when MILAN decide to sell him....and now MILAN is deciding to sell he doesnt want to leave and hopefully he will say no and when he says no everyone will shut up and never try to buy kaka from us again i am just praying he stays....cuz there is no way anyone can replace kaka....i dont care if you replace him with messi...c.ronaldo..or anyone they all play amazing with their respective teams just like kaka

Well, having calmed down a little bit, I guess you could compare this situation to when Juventus sold Zidane to Real Madrid in 2001, and built a team that dominated Italian football until Calciopoli. You could also say that Manchester City are idiots for offering this much money for one player, and that Milan should take advantage of their stupidity and cash in. I just don't see, from a sporting perspective, who can replace Kaka if he is sold this month. I mean, we NEED to be in the Champions League next season, and we need Kaka to be able to do that.

I don't think anyone can replace Kaka, but if indeed 100M or maybe Galli told them, I will only talk if there is 150M.... With that money, Milan can buy three to four TRUE WORLD CLASS PLayers, like Santacroce and Zapata as CD, Zhirkov on the left, Cesc in the middle and Benezma upfront.

TO be honest, like I said before, I don't think any club can refuse an initial offer of 100M, b/c if I am Galli, it only means Man CIty is willing to pay at least 150M for Kaka.

And I suppose you could say that we do in fact have Pato and Ronaldinho at the club. Perhaps Kaka's departure would lead to even better performances from Dinho, as they wouldn't be getting in each other's way anymore.

I can't say I'm not heartbroken though. The latest news is that Milan have accepted City's offer, and that Kaka's father and agent have flown to Manchester to meet with City representatives.
