Well, Ambrosini and Gattuso are less than a year apart in age, so it's impossible to say which will be around the longest. Also, Rene -- and I love him to death -- might be a bit too hotheaded to be captain.

Anyway, sincerely, I never thought that Kaka' could be a good captain, he's too discreet (a bit like Zidane was, he never wanted to be a captain but they gave him this role anyway with the French NT if I remember).

Actually, after the great Maldini, maybe then Ambrosini, I don't see any player able to be a good captain in our team

PS: Looks like another day off from my studies for me ...

yeahh, hehe, so kaka (if he stays) will probably be captain after 4-5 years...

and another thing, if u remember , Sheva was milan's captain in his last season (2005/06) , because maldini was often injured, and now.. if u also remember, in one game in this season, milan had changed a lot of captains (in one game), i cant remember which game it was, but i remember that captain was maldini, (or maybe ambro, im not sure), then he came out , then gattuso was captain, then gattuso came out, then kaka was captain, and then kaka went out, and then Pippo was captain... i think that was game against portsmouth when pippo scored in last second, but im not sure... and all that time, Sheva was ingame, and he wasnt a captain even for a second, and in season 2005/06 he would be a captain after maldini, so that means, before ambro, before gattuso, before kaka and pippo...

Of course, even if he is a legend (I think that we can consider him like a legend for the years he was in Milan, the years before moving), he left 2 years, so now it's like a new player in the team ...

Personally, if Kaka's tears are to be believed, and interpreted as a sign that the club is "pushing" him to Man City, that's one thing, but there are always 2 sides to a story...

Berlu's latest in the press (channel4.com) indicates a very different situation, wherein Kaka and his "handlers" or "management" are using the Man City bid to try to negotiate a pay raise for Kaka to stay @ Milan.

Who to believe? What to believe? We will probably never know the full story, however, either way, he looks to be on the way out.

We can either accept this, or not....after $heva left, something in me broke, I think the "child" in me grew up...and saw the real "football" world as it is, and not through rose-tinted glasses.

The amount of money on offer is obscene, and while the repurcussions of such a mega-deal are far ranging and inflationary, if even half of it were invested in good, young talent, we could do a "Juve" and actually challenge seriously for silverware on all fronts...

I think, regardless of who is crying or postering, he will go, and while it will be a sad day, this too shall pass.

Its gonna happen this mercato, or the next. Either way, thanks Kaka for the memories.

U will always be one of my favourite players. Unlike $ome others I could mention, but won't.

the fact is Warro and even Berlu has said this Milan cant afford to up Kaka's contract as it would cause rifts in the team so its a cert he will leave.

Yep, it's well said ... the problem in that story is that Kaka' built an excellent image, so people are going to trust him more than Berlusconi "the lier, cheater, ..." and all other things people can think about. So maybe it is true, Kaka' really wants to stay, money never counted, etc etc etc and Berlusconi lies in that story (as Galliani when he says that we won't have any new recruie after Beckham and Thiago Silva, and 2 days after, Mattioni is suddenly welcomed to Milanello), or Kaka' lied and Berlusconi says the truth.

In both stories, there is a sad boy and a bad boy ... but as we all know, the world is not entirely white nor entirely black, so there must be some kinds of truth in both stories ... so everyone is to be blamed for that, or noone, depending on your point of view. Because as I said, if Kaka' goes, noone forced him by taking his hand and signing a contract for him, and noone forced Milan to let him negociating too, so think what you want, but don't blame just one side.

First of all, nobody is 100% certain Kaka did cried after trainning.
It could be some staff made up a story to make a quick buck or two.
Secondly, those tears could mean, Kaka truly understands that there are better things in life than money, like friendship with teammates and he is touch, thats why he cried.
Or he cried b/c Cap told him he is going to give him the armband.

I really don't like it when you guys already jump to the conclusion that Kaka is a gone man. As far as I am concern, nothing is official and Kaka is still a Milan player.

Like I said before if Milan is going to send Kaka to Man City, not only will they lose their symbol, but they are also losing their soul and everything they stood for over the years.

I understand that Kaka1899,, and this statement is not only true, but excellent "damage" control as well, and puts the "blame" squarely on the player's shoulders.

The alleged "tears" real, fake, or imagined, are certainly a lovely "riposte" from the Kaka-camp.

Either way, the saga continues...

Thats exactly what worries me, selling Kaka, Milan will lose all it stood for... it will not be the same exemplary club that everyone would follow.. oh boy, going to be real tough to swallow Kaka leaving... when Sheva left I thought I'd be able to handle it if it never happened again (like what Galliani said), but now someone I love more is about to get pushed out of the team. (Kaka could still say no, just like Dida did when we tried to sell him).
