Well, as of now, I am not believing anything from the press, esp Berlu as he cannot make any official statements for Kaka in public, since he is the head of state in Italy.

The thing I don't understand is that, other big teams can always hold on to their top players except for us. Interesting isn't it? Look at how Wenger protects Cesc and Adebayor, Fergie with Rooney and C7, Pep with Messi and Xavi...IN short, Carlo sucks

GeoTav......I've read all the posts here. Sorry I said "noone here has mentioned this". I know that you have been open to both scenarios and a few other people. I was just trying to prove a point to most of the other people here (some of which have ridicilously stated that they will find it hard to support Milan if Kaka goes) so I guess the response was carried away. lol

There is no hate against Kaka......only to the disgusting behaviors of his agents. Kaka is a great player and has been great for this team and I don't think anyone has ever denied that in here. If you go back to previous threads from about a year ago and this summer however you will find my name there saying that "if Kaka wants to leave then he can leave.....I don't understand why we have to give him a new contract every year obviously stating that he is bigger then everyone else in the club." So this is nothing new.

As for the Hamburg issue.......if City offered 3 times the market value of De Jong....I don't think Hamburg would even hesitate let alone make remarks like "we don't sell to clubs that are weaker then us."

Ancelotti said it in his interview from yesterday: he is only the coach, he coaches and trains the players that management gives him, nothing else. If a player leaves, he has to adapt, if management brings him new players, he has to adapt.

The guys you mentionned are coaches AND managers of their club. Except maybe Guardiola, but he never said anything to protect Xavi and Messi as nobody really made a concrete offer for them ...

I believe City did that and Hamburg still said no.

MY issue is not more on kaka leaving, but it has more to do with where he is leaving to.
To me, it is really a slap in the face if I see Kaka playing in City next week, as like I mentioned before, Milan is not only selling Kaka, they are also selling their pride as a big club and what they stood for all these years.

In a very respectful way......this statement is crazy. Barca has never held on to their stars and I don't even have to mention names. Wenger????? What about Henry, Vieira, Flamini...just to name a few of the past couple of years. As for Ferguson?....he'll never do what we did with Kaka=hand out a new and improved offer every time a team is interested! Come on man.......the statement you made is really hard to argue for because all the facts work against it.

Hamburg just gave a new contract to De Jong and he accepted it.
It's also maybe to increase the price of the player as his contract was going to end up this summer (if I'm not wrong).

And if our management doesn't want to give a new contract to Kaka' and Kaka' (or agents) says "new contract or I leave", maybe our management just feels it's maybe time to sell him, and better selling him to Man City than to Madrid/Barcelona/Inter/Juventus/'Pool/MU (because we'll face them next year) ...

Geo, my point is that big clubs actually have the ability to protect their best players/assets. Which is why there is this Kaka saga and not C7 saga or Messi saga. The fact that City came to us with the offer instead of lets say going to Barcelona for Messi or Xavi shows that they think the chances of getting Kaka for 100M is higher than getting Messi and Xavi for the same price. Why is that????
Well, a better example should be Villa as both Valencia and us are in UEFA CUP instead of CL. How come City did not go to Valencia with this offer for Villa but came to us? TO me it shows something about Berlu and Galli and the rest of the MGT

Simply because they didn't give the same amount of money to Valencia for example ... and Valencia will sell him this summer: there will be Barcelona, Real Madrid, MU, Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter, maybe us, who knows, Juventus and of course Man City now that will all compete to have him: price will increase.

For Kaka', Italian clubs know they can't have him, Chelsea doesn't try anymore 'cause of all the "no" from our management and Kaka' himself they got, same for Real Madrid for moment, other clubs feel they don't need him because of their formation or players they already have for example, while the other clubs know they couldn't interest him. So it's not the same situation.

They didn't go there because they have a wet dream about Kaka probably. It has nothing to do with it. And.....there is not a CR7 saga???? Didn't we see enough of that this past summer and it's still somewhat going on. Just wat for the summer again.

Indeed...£100M is more than he is worth...so I certainly understand Berlu's position, especially if Kaka's mgmt is looking for yet another pay raise from this saga.

Plus, how would he (Kaka) really, as fundamentalist a Christian as he is supposed to be, go to work for Muslim employers?

Guess he belongs to Jesus and the Sheikh...and so by extention, Allah?

(NB: No offense intended to practitioners of either religion)
I am not offended at all.

However, this statement is bizarre. He had no problem working for a borderline criminal for all these years, so why should he have qualms about working for Arab Muslims?

Your post has certainly not offended me because I have known you through this forum for a while now, but it deserves both bewilderment and contempt.

As the match nears, the butterflies abound in my stomach. I really hope Kaka' stays, but if it is really a case of him wanting a raise (as Berlu says, and I don't really believe him) then perhaps it is better for him to go.

Something very shady is going on here. There are newspaper reports saying Kaka was spotted crying when he exited the locker room (as one would if you were about to play your last game for your beloved club).

Kaka is a god-fearing guy and I doubt he is obsessed with money. I can't say the same for his representatives and for our club however....the most likely scenario is that Milan just cannot turn down this big a bid and now that we are considering it, Kaka's agent and father and seeing big $$$$$$$$ signs and are doing everything in their power to talk Kaka into this utterly ridiculous move.

It's sad....I pray for Kaka to have the strength to look his father, his reps and his club in the eye and say "I'm not leaving....my friends are here...and I'm happy here".

First of all the players you mentioned all went to a better team or an equal team. Secondly, those players also wanted to leave but in this case, I would say Kaka still wants to stay.

I am not saying Kaka and his entourage are the innocent victims here, b/c in todays world nobody is innocent. However, my pt is that of all the superstars that City can throw this 100M offer to, why did they choose Kaka? It could be b/c they know Kaka wants to leave? Or it could be that they know guys like Berlu and Galli will not turn down this deal like the other clubs?
Everything will have two sides of the stories but the fact that Kaka is going to City is really a slap in the face for all Milan fan, and thats why my view on the club will change.
