In England the press opinions are divided. Some papers claim it's going to happen but others now say it won't. All these stories, including the one which claims a certain Milan shareholder being briefed of the fact that Kaka signed already for City, seem to be all speculations or assumptions. Italian papers seem to be confident this morning of Kaka's leaving, but again they tend to be inventive and creative, so I am told. I don't think it has been decided either way. I don't know about you, but I can't sleep. I can't eat properly either. When is this going to end?

The Corrupting Power of Money
It's ultimately a story of money, greed and ego...the corruting power of $...on the part of Kaka's father and the powers at AC Milan. The father wants his son to get more $...either from AC or another team...ego is part of that..."my son should get what he's worth...why shouldn't AC pay more?" AC Milan and Berlusconi are dreaming about what/who they can buy with all that $.
Kaka, the son, seems to be above all that...he wants to be paid appropriately yes, but he wants to play where he will be happy...where he is loved...where he has a glorious history...where the crowd cries out for him to stay. It's not about $ for him...not for a man to whom family, friends, God, loyalty and teammates are a priority. But, does he displease his father? And, he says to himself, " those guys at the top in this team are willing to sell me after all I have done for them!!!!!" |

Yes I agree. His father's opinion seems to carry a lot of weight. But if he is recommending his son to almost give up his career, what value does his opinion have? It is perverse for him to recomend Kaka to grab the money and retire while Kaka still wants to play football at the highest level. Unless of course the father is thinking of donating more money to his chosen church from his son's salary.

On TV I saw some scenes from the protest. I really wish I could have been there. From what I saw the demo was quite orderly and polite..some seemed to be smiling even.. Is it the Italian thing, I wonder? I couldn't help wanting to ship all of our fooligans to join them and stir things up into a full blown riot. That would have taught B&G something.

Relax Daryl, Kaka is staying with us.
I really think he knows what is best for him and his career. And that is staying in Milan. Quite franky even after hearing Berlu and Galli, despite the fact that they are not saying NO right away, they really don't want to look bad and thats why I think at the end they will not let Kaka go to a team that the whole world knows he does not want to go b/c if Kaka went to City, Berlu and Galli will look horrible. |

It's funny ...
We have had some MU guys coming here: discussions and debates full of respect ... We have had some Liverpool guys coming here: discussions and debates full of respect ... We have had some Arsenal guys coming here: discussions and debates full of respect ... We even have had some Inter guys and Juventus guys coming here: discussions and debates full of respect ... Now there is someone from Manchester City, and you just seem to be here to joke about us ... I won't take any conclusion from that and will wait to see more posts from you to do so ... We'll see but don't you think it's a bit prematurated to say such things whereas Kaka' could possibly stay in Milan ? Or even go in Madrid (burp) ? Last edited by GeoTav; 18-01-2009 at 12:18. |
