The MANAGEMENT forced him in as its so clear thats its not the workrate or training performance that get a player to be selected for the match all you have to do is please the bosses and then you will be a superstar, so let us not go to the phrase "Anchelotti knows better because he is the coach and he is training those guys and he knows whats up...". i am starting to agree with milan transfer policy as its so clear that anchelotti can never deal with 25- years old player unless they are brazilians... anyhow every league has a circus team and its so sad to be us . good luck for the big game tomorrow

OCMilano, Lebanese,

Beckham is playing not only because he's famous, or good looking, but because he can play...

Is he a player worth $250M dollars contracts? No, not without all the marketing that surrounds him.

Is he a player worth having in your squad because of his technical/tactical ability? Absolutely yes.

Would I prefer that he was 26 years old, instead of being over 30? Of course, but Beckham at his age is still better than many many players.

SANT i probably have seen another beckham. the one you are talking about is the one who scored against 10 men bolonga who didnt do anything worth mentioning but to curl a ball against a helpless G.K. I am not that blind to see if some1 is playing good. the beckham you are talking about is the one who played against rome, the one who made john riise looks destructive, the one who was sending a long balls for a lone striker against 4 defenders and a defensive midfielder. i never disliked a player like favalli but when he performs there is no use denying it. i just hope after maldini's retierment milan will look postively into rebuilding their squad because its really embarresing to be a joke club, who in the hell is willing to pay 4 mil a year for emerson, kaladze, dida, inzaghi with respect to the achievement made by some of those players? we are paying aroud 120 mil a year just for wages. 70 % are paid for useless players and honestly, milan should act in a professional way, the family enviroment we are creating is pushing us into our demise.

it is only natural that Milan sign players over 30 very easily...Milan is like the Qatar league... this is where players go to retire!!! the golden age home of football... but saying all that it would be GREAT if he stays earn us millions in shirt sales, help win the two trophies and kick the shadow out of Inter!!!! I MAY NOT AGREE WITH ADMIN ON MOST THINGS BUT I SURE ENJOY THE SUCCESS!!!

Many many players? It depends on who you compare him to. If you compare him to Serie B and below players then yeah sure he's amazing. But if you compare him to the players that normal top clubs have...he's merely average.

Just would like to drop in that this is Gourcuff's thread.
Beckham has limited skills but is brilliant enough at them to make an impact.

Kind of like Pippo-someone who can't really dribble, can't beat defenders with speed, not strong enough to fight in the air, no footwork and yet managed to score 20+goals per season when healthy.

Anyhow, is Yoann coming back?

No,The coach of Bordeaux or the President(i cant remember who said it)said that Bordeaux is going to use the 15 million clause in his contract to buy him from Milan.

So its over,we probably lost the next best midfielder of this world thanks to the lack of trust we gave him......REALLY STUPID,NOW REAL OR CHELSEA IS GOING TO BUY HIM!!!!!!!

Gourcuff sucks anyway, he doesn't fit into Milan's system, he is not good enough for Milan's system.
We have won so many CL titles because we build teams around the best players, not around good players, not around very good players.

Gourcuff wouldn't make it in Milan. And he's gonna suck in any big team he joins. (especially EPL)

Gourcuff won't go to EPL, Gourcuff will come back or stay in Bordeaux ... it'll be his choice and it will probably depend on the relation between him and our management for the next months !!

Then, saying he isn't good enough makes me ask you a question: how many times did you watch him ? For real ... not only his goals and assists on youtube.

Currently, and I'm going to speak about the form of the players, not the level of the guys (because I know what you're going to say if I don't write this bold sentence), Gourcuff is better than Kaka', Seedorf and Ronaldinho. And if he can play like this for us next year, so we will have quiet games with him, Kaka' and Pato ...
EDIT: So I hope you understand this sentence ... that doesn't mean that Gourcuff is better than Kaka', that just means that nowadays, he is, but at the same level of form, Kaka' is better.

There are two ways to use him: put him as a left attacking midfielder (Seedorf position), or put him as a "free" central midfielder (current Beckham position in our team) ...

If you compare Gourcuff to Beckham and Seedorf:
- he runs more
- he defends more and often comes back into the defense to help his partners, and when they take the ball to the opponents, he is the guy that launches attacks, and sometimes finishes them
- he is a leader (better to say "he has become" a leader on the pitch, not outside of the pitch), Seedorf is not, not Beckham who doesn't communicate with the others because he only speaks English for moment (that can change)
- he moves better than both of them without the ball, allowing to create spaces for his partners
- he's younger

By knowing that, I don't see why we shouldn't give him another chance ...

I have watched about 5 full Bordeaux matches were they won and Gourcuff made a great impact.

That might have been true but you didn't take into account that Gourcuff is in good form in French League, and Kaka is in bad form in Serie A!
Judging from the french games I watched, comparing League 1 to Serie A is like comparing CL to Uefa Cup!

What's the one characteristic that makes Gourcuff so great in Bordeaux? - He dribbles, a lot and with success! You think Gourcuff is a better dribbler than Pato - definetly not! But even Pato loses the ball like half of the time in Serie A... and Pato is fast! Gourcuff really is too slow for Serie A, besides his dribbles, there's not much he can offer to the team.

I rest my case.

I take into account that the boring Ligue 1 is ... umh, bad (not to say anything else).

But Ligue 1 is a very defensive championship, most of the teams play not to lose (instead of playing to win), especially against Bordeaux and Lyon ...

But we can also take into account the way he played in CL ... and he was the only Bordeaux player to make a real impact and to bother the opponents which were Chelsea and Roma (no disrespect towards the 3rd team but I don't remember who they were ).

Don't compare him to Pato ? Why do you compare him to Pato ? Seriously ?
I said he can take place in the team in Seedorf or Beckham positions, you reply me by comparing him to Pato ? I'm sorry, but I don't get your point there ...

And it's not only his dribbles but his passes and moves who make him good in Ligue 1 ... he also organizes his team, he's the guy who gives to his partners the right rythm, when Gourcuff doesn't play (I should have said when he doesn't play well, but it didn't really happen this year, it's what is amazing, he played so many games and his form didn't drop yet), his team is a ... let's say a top-middle-table team, a team playing for the 5-6th position, but with Gourcuff, they are able to beat Lyon, a team that didn't lose the championship for ... too many years now.

About the speed of the player, that makes me laugh ... Pirlo, Seedorf, Ambrosini, Emerson, they are players from our team, they play in Serie A (don't tell me that Milan doesn't play in Serie A please), they are midfielders (two defensive ones, a central one, and an attacking one), and they are slower than Gourcuff. Something to add there ?
