We have won so many CL titles because we build teams around the best players, not around good players, not around very good players.

Gourcuff wouldn't make it in Milan. And he's gonna suck in any big team he joins. (especially EPL)
biased and ignorant plus you dont watch football the best word to describe you "KID"
go watch "Gourcuff vs. chelsea" and laugh at john terry, obi mikel and offcourse your self

Gourcuff is playing an attacking midfielder, and that's what he is best at in Bordeaux, and that's where you envision him playing in Milan.

What makes him a good AM in Bordeaux, is his ability to dribble - either he creates an attack just by dribbling or he skips by a couple of opponents and gives a dangerous pass.

WE DON"T NEED a player like that in Milan, because
1. We have better players for that role in Milan
2. He is not good enough for that role in Milan - (slow, his technique may not be that great in Serie A)
3. Serie A is a very defensive league as well

If you want to try him at Milan in other roles - I say why not?
Except I am not convinced that he will be successful in this other roles. Proof?
He played in other roles in Milan and was at best average.

I hope this makes sense to you.

A proof is that he already played in Milan and wasnt successful...? That is not a proof. The boy never played for real, he was used as an alibi sub... never with an a team, in different roles, with trashed self confidence etc.

Speed? Zidane wasnt fast. Pirlo isnt fast, Seedorf is not faster then Yoan.

I think that loosing a player that has been leading France NT is a mistake, simple as that. We can always sell him, but we need to give a man a real chance. He never had a chance in Milan.

And he didnt only play well in French league. He played great vs Chelsea, Roma, on the internatinals...

I'd give him a chance. And said "thank you" to Carlo's lover Clarence who plays well every 6th game.

Kaka' is better, not the others. And as we usually play with two AMs, it's why we should give him another chance.

For the slow speed and technique, just compare him to Pirlo and Seedorf, or just read my previous post.

The difference between the Gourcuff who played for us 2 years ago and the one who could come back next season:
- he's older, and so he has more experience
- his confidence (especially now that he is a starter in French NT)

And he played in many positions, it's true, and he failed, it's true too: he replaced Pirlo (who, we all know that, has a unique role and is the only one to fit in this role), and he played like a left midfielder ... the guy just needs to play in centre of the field or to play in an attacking position. If that doesn't work, let's sell him in the next winter mercato for 20M to Real Madrid (this way, they will stop to ask for Kaka' ) and everyone will be happy.

If you read my post carefully, you know that I support giving him a chance, but not in the role of the main creative midfielder.

Every milan midfielder is very good in at least one specific thing, Pirlo - distributing the ball, connecting defense and attack, Seedorf - holding the ball, serving as a reference poing for Kaka, Kaka - speed, dribbling vision.

Maybe we will find something Gourcuff is good at in Milan, but it won't be a CAM possision. And I am sure Gourcuff won't settle for anything else.

So you can wave good-bye to him.

Carlo_Ancelotti, the fact is that you are able to say "the guy sucks, the guy can't play for us" and also "the guy has to have another chance" ... that's a contradiction.

If you really think he isn't good enough for Milan, I don't see how you can still think he can have another chance ...

I will try to explain again.
He sucks as a CAM for Milan, although he is a great CAM for Bordeaux.
We might try to use him at some other position in Milan, but that still remains an uncovered talent, and there is no guarantee that he will fit in.

its never a guarantee that a player will fit in! But what gourcuff showed this seasen at his age is REALLY impressive!! He is showing his talent in the french ligue, CL and with the french national team. You have to be blind not to see this kid is something special. Someday he will shine for a big european team, and I hope it'll be Milan.

Look at his user name...obviously he won't like Gourcuff so there's no point debating with him .

LOL @ Seedorf's supposed purpose in the team though...shows how low our standards have dropped. You're happy to keep a player who's sole purpose is to hold the ball up for Kaka...yet offers little to nothing himself, while giving up a player who at LEAST does everything Seedorf does (plus probably more) with 20x the workrate of Seedorf.

The good news is that Carlo's contract expires in 2010 so then we'll probably have a new coach with fresh ideas. More importantly though, a fresh coach with NO BIASES. By that time Gourcuff will be long gone of course, but I'd hope the next coach can actually get the best out of at least the majority of our players.

yes, sure, since i didn't write anything about distributing short range assists - he obviously doesn't do it!
and yeah, that CL title we won with Seedorf in the same role was entirely due to luck, we pretty much played with 10 players!

true, but do you truly believe seedorf is in the same shape and form? offcourse not. listen man this is football and when you are 33 its diffcult to put up the same effort as you used to when you were 28 or 30, add to that laziness, in case you watched seedorf last night you would noticed that he didnot bother following his lost balls, i believe we need more than what seedorf does right now.
as for anchelotti i believe he is one of the best coaches around but milan really needs a change so does he. because no matter how many player he has add to that squad depth, he aint gonna change his formation nor the line up, best thing is to let anchelotti pursuits his dream (ivory coast, roma) and let milan take care of their business

He is still good enough to be a starter, especially in big games, although he should be playing only 50% of the games or less.

i see your thinking process but i don't see the argument.
We need change why? Just for the hell of it? In that case let's also change the stadium, the city, the colors, and the sport,- play some basketball or something.

Ancelotti doesn't change the formation? You obviously failed to comprehend how Beckham and prior to that Pato were inserted into the team?

I will repeat what i said before - you guys got caught up in the chase of letting aneclotti go so much, that you forgot about the purpose.
Ancelotti keeps us in the 2nd spot currently, taking how cohesive Inter is, how much disbalance we have, how many injuries, how many new players that still haven't found themselves - that's a damn good result.

1. Ancelotti cannot win every game! Get over it! No coach can!
2. Losing sucks, and the only way you can cope with it is finding a scape goat - the coach!
3. THE LOSS IS ALWAYS PARTIALLY THE PLAYER"S FAULT! You always bash Carlo, have it occured to you that the team might not be completing thier mission on the field?

open up your eyes and freaking see
