So what does that mean? That we are not concetrated in every game to win it with passion to reach to our reason for that year, Serie-A! We are playing better at derbies and not with the supposed small teams because of that.
And that helps very much that we had so many old players, so many stars who have won so many trophies and have not the desire to run like pato, benzema,c. ronaldo, messi. We need fresh players with passion to win not old finished players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

What we need is some new player and a new coach. A chaoch has to be able to motivate the team weather they play Barcao or Reggina. Problem is, player come into the game thinking they can beat Reggina with their eyes closed, then little bit of bad luck and you get what Milan got today. But if the coach fires up the team to trash Reggina before the derby that would be a different story.

What amuses me is that the same set of fans on MM hail our players one week and trash them the nest. I think one-two players and this squad is good to go. What is really required is a manager who can motivate these players and not make tactical errors with simple things such as a starting line-up and substitutions. In Ancelotti we have a manager afraid of changes and afraid of taking chances that don't ensure success. To sum it up, we need to remove this coward as soon as possible. Even if we do go on to win the scudetto somehow, I won't be fooled by Ancelotti.
Where is flame aka Carlo_Ancelotti? A few words in the manager's defense are a must in this critical state of things. Ronaldinho and Flamini were both good though the former outshone the latter. Although Flamini was a little rough I think it's due to the lack of games. He passed the ball around and didn't hold it like Pirlo and Seedorf. He was quick to close down attacks from the Reggina forward line. His passing was far from impressive though and not a substitute to Pirlo (but that wasn't expected from his). His lack of creativity was cruelly exposed. Overall a good performance that wont do his derby chances any harm though he lacks the punch Gattuso has. Ronaldinho was pretty impressive though he lacked the killer pass or shot. I stand by what i've said before that he possess the raw ability to create moments of magic more than any player at Milan. On yet another night where Kaka was lacking his magic (something is seriously wrong with that guy.. crap.com seems to agree with me), Ronaldinho did step up but his impact inside the box wasn't the same as near it's edge. He should be given more freedom to roam. I would definitely give him a starting place against Inter because his talent can be a handful for any team and besides, who wouldn't love Maicon vs Ronaldinho. My biggest problem with Beckham's performance was that he didn't link attack to midfield very well. His lack of link up with Zambrotta was also noticeable. Though his passing and ball control was impressive at times. One thing with Beckham is that if he doesn't make a brilliant cross or a free kick, he has little contribution in a match. But that doesn't say enough about his abilities in wide areas. We missed Pirlo terribly. I hope all his critics realise that. The amount of possession was promising.. specially in the first half. Mrki was right, Ambro was completely not required today.

Carlo needs to stop playing with 2 DM's and rather use 2 strikers against small teams coming to the San Siro, when will his thick head realize that?
Having said that, Flamini was absolutely world class today and won so many balls. I was very impressed with him. I didnt think the defence did bad except for that goal. What I need to know is why did we only have Pippo on the bench, where was Sheva? We needed an offensive player when Kaka had to sub out, not Antonini. and yeah Pato is proving his worth now. And Kaka is really just not playing well any more, he does put in a good performance once every 5-6 games (just like Seedorf), but thats not good enough. I think we need fresh ideas, a new formation to give the players a challenge. This stupid x-mas tree is hurting us too much, its acceptable to use it vs. teams like Barcelona, Man U, Inter, but we can't use it against Genoa and Reggina at the San Siro! Today is the day we lost the scudetto. We are really a team with mental problems, our pyschological approach is so poor (to be fair, the last 3 games it was ok). It's just that we cannot reach the opponents goal with this formation. And btw - Kaka does not have a fracture, it's been confirmed. However it is likely that he'll miss the derby. That's too bad, he usually is always in top form for the derbies. PS: that Seedorf goal was correctly ruled out for a hand ball, I believe. It's true that his hand was not moving and it was involuntary - how ever his hand was also stuck out and he was inside the 6 yard box and that lead to a direct goal. I think it should not count. Ambrosini's penalty was a small pull from the defender, Ambro just made a meal out of it. The referee did not cost us the game, please stop blaming referees and instead focus on ourselves and why we cant beat the last placed club in Serie A at our own home turf. With all these important games to play, even Juventus could be first in some weeks ... so I don't know why we, Milan, would have to say goodbye to the Scudetto. About Kaka', we just can hope they will think and decide at the last moment that he can play and that he will give us a gift by scoring and passing for goals for example ... ![]() What's the situation for Inter strikers ?? Balotelli out, Ibra ? Adriano ? |

I don't think Ibra is out for Derby. He sucks at them anyway so it doesn't matter. Kaka out is a huge blow for us. It all rests on Seedorf and R80 now. I hope Beckham doesn't start. I'd rather have Ambro and Flamini. Maybe Ambro to get the chop but Flamini should get a start after a good performance today.

Well to know more about the players of Inter for the derby match check the derby thread, anyways I wanted to comment on rosseneri 11's posts
The commentator in Al Jazeera said something interesting, he said that if the league had been decided through home matches, Milan would be in top place, while if it were played through away matches only, Inter would be on top. So for Reggina, the bottom club to almost win against Milan in the San Siro is SOMETHING. No saddness here though ![]()

Missed this game. But I knew this would gonna be difficult. Reggina is on relegation zone no wonder they fought like a hurted lion. Just feel sad that Inter still runs with 3 points and we are threatening our position from 2nd to 3rd if Juve wins the match. God..

I'm just watching the second half now...and Dinho's face when he was subbed was priceless. Poor guy got subbed off while being one of our most dangerous attackers.

This is what I think about last night's game.
The GOOD, Scoreline aside, I think everyone on the team played really well. Kaka seems to be bother by some minor knocks but everytime he touches the ball, the Reggina defenders hacked him, the ref did not call a lot of fouls toward Kaka. Thats to be is unacceptable, as players like Kaka should be protected more or else they will all force to retire early. Pato and Dinho were amazing and I must admit, I was even impressed by Seedorf, maybe he should stick to the bench from now on and just play 20-35 mins a game. The defense was solid except for that bad clearing of Bonera which resulted in the goal a little later. The whole team played with urgency and passion, they just could not break down the 9 men defense. The bad. The pitch was just horrible, to think that both Inter and us are the richest club in Italy and yet with such a bad pitch is a total shame. I know it was rainning but still, the pitch condition was pure crap, really need to fix that. The Ugly. Carlo really needs to learn to play with 2 strikers against teams like Reginna. B/c Reginna did what everyone in the world expected them to do. Play 9 men defense with a target man upfront and hit us with counter attk. And yet, Carlo just went out with two attk midfielders and Pato. If I were Carlo, I would have put Pippo in there from the start and play Flamini and Kaka in the middle, with Beck and R80 in wide. Carlo can talk about those lost pts due to being tie....but he has himself to blame b/c he knew what the other team is doing and yet did nothing. I am not someone who jump between fences but seriously the players were fighting and have a will to win and yet Carlo blew it. |

flamini as we ALL say ( i think 99% of people in here agree ), is a world class DM, and he needs to play just to get his tackles aright and some movements. He is a bir rounh on the edges but could be a great player. A player that is better then Ambrosini in almost everything except heading... Beckham did well again in my opponion. He had good passes, crosses and fought untill the end. But what did we do? Our plan was to CROSS the ball?? We ARE NOT BOLTON!!! Beckham and Zambrotta didnt play a single normal action, there was no gameplan since the 1st minute, it was obvious. I was watching the game with my brother and he said: " man this Milan has so much class its great to see, but they dont know what the hell they need to do with the ball on the field..." I agree not coz its my brother who said ti, but coz we play actions that are simply ridiculous. We dont spread the play well, we dont make 1 on 1 situations by changing sides fast, we dont have firm concept... and worst of all, we started softly and when you do that teams get fee and start playing better and better. We play 2 on 2 plays, like in basketball...we let Dinho, Kaka', Pato, Pirlo keep the ball as long as they want and feel. Not to mention Seedor. We paly unprofessionally and unresponsably. Seedorf shoots a volley with his back to the goal in 93rd min.!!!! WHT??? COZ HE CAN!!??? ----------------------------------------------------------------- In the end, I said Reggina is Milan 2. I've seen matches Milan-Reggina and RegginaMilan fixed 300%. We saved their ass on numerous occcasions with pathetic performances inlast games of the season, and those games were always 1:0, 2:1, with lame taackling etc. But I was wrong for today. Sorrry, my apologies people and Hitmann. Scudetto cant be won with a team that is led by a man who is not good enough, has players that dont care and those who do care or dont play or do not know what do they need to play. Ibra is in for the derby, Kaka' looks out. EDIT: We played our first game after winter vs ROMa away with: Pirlo-Beckham-Seedorf-Kaka'-Dinho-PAto. And sotimes we need two or three DM's at home vs smaller teams??? Who is crazy in here? Carlo doesnt care about atctics, he cares about making players happy. And that doesnt work that way! If we started with Seedorf in the middle ( or Marek ) we could have pressed more and harder, and thos was tourchuring with Marek ( WHO IS UNABLE TO PASS A ****ING BALL IN ANY SENCE, like an amateur for the love of god!!! doesnt even have to try and cross it!!) and Ambro on the left... And on Reggina's goal it was again our poor CB's who are not on Milan's level anymore. MAldini was late, Im sorry to say that, but its his fault.

gosh, why all the dispair? because Inter won? I knew this would be a playground for crybabies after this match. Did we even watch the same game?
Had one of those numerous chances we had by the end of the game converted, you would be hailing the team and saying this is the best milan game this season. We attacked well and attacked a lot, at times we seriously were unlucky. I agree that the ref was a joke. Jankulovski is clearly not in form. Saying that he cannot pass is a clear exaggeration based one game performance (i am not gonna use harsher wording). The goal was avoidable - had Bonera marked his man in the box. Maldini was just fine, didn't cause us any trouble. Another great performance by Abbiati. Ronaldinho started to run - very nice. Kaka's form has been troubling me lately, but he is suffering because we leave 2 CAMs + 1 forward against 8 person defense. He needs help, that's why we need to get Ronaldinho in form ASAP, and make the fullbacks help out. That's it, good game, looking forward to the derby.

Hitmannq8 posed the question why Sheva was not on the bench. If he had been, he could have been used when Kaka went down to add more offensive threat. Anyone know why Sheva wasn't there? Hurt? Dispensable? " Offensive" to Ancellotti?
