He is a good player and I wont pretend otherwise. BUT he isnt quick at all and for the price we would have to pay, then Id expect him to have all the tools in the box.

Honestly speaking, if either Zapatta or Santa were put next to Thiago they would be great and clubs like Man City would want them. But instead we show more interest in Mexes, who so overrated its riddiculous.

I can say I agree with you. Only that Zapata is a questionmark right now as the man has barely played this year ...

Santacroce is a player that screams " I can play for Milan" but we want to sign Agger and MExes, who are good palyers, but Santacroce will develop his game so high he'll end up being first 11 in Azzuri and then we'll be sorry.

The good thing about Zapattas injury, is his price has dropped. But Im sure hes been back for a while now

But Clichy has made it clear he wont leave Wenger and Arsenal.. even if they don't make it to the Champions League.. I say good that someone is showing loyalty (even though it doesn't work in our favour).

Santacroce should be a priority ahead of agger and zapata. Milans defence has always been the best when its had Italians at the core.

If Platini's 6+5 rule comes through we should try and get as many of the best italians so Inter can't!

Past friday, Parma played at Empoli. Nicola Pozzi scored first but take a look at the second and (Paloschi did the third) especially at the fourth Parma goal, in which he strongly recalls me - just because of his right foot touch and when he is on the move - Reijkard. MacDonakd Mariga is his name.

I think Vidic is far over-rated. The guy was horrible when we played Man Utd in 2007. I don't know if Milan will ever splash big money on established stars anymore.

WIth this new "philosophy", we either save on a big transfer fee by signing a veteran player (Beckham, Emerson, Ronaldo, etc) or signing a young up and coming talent (Pato, Thiago Silva, etc). When was the last time we saw Milan sign an absolutely world class player for a substantial transfer fee?

He was coming off injury that very game which is kinda why he had a subpar performance. He didn't have the pace yet to keep up with Kaka and I remember Kaka leaving him for dead a couple times.

Dude, that was a rhetorical question, Of course, all of us know that the last time we splashed any serious cash for world class footballers was ages ago and that coincided with us winning numerous trophies and still having that same core of players with us til today. Maybe it's time we start investing properly again, and perhaps another cycle of success can begin..

Mariga has been linked with us this year if I remember rightly and he does appear to be impressing. Don't know if we necessarily need him, but if we are looking for a DM he's a possibility.

Another Gunners ? Senderos who was Arsenal best defender when we signed him couldnt contribute that much this season.. hope our management think to raise or sign Italian defender. So many option here and there at Italy.. Santacroce, Motta, etc.. or give much chances to our youngster..
