But he still is unproven in Italy, and though only a very very little question mark, he's still a question mark.
Christian, youīre more than right with your doubts. Thiago has a lot to prove in Europe. Remember, that was his 3rd time in Europe. He failed one time due to a serious illness(not his fault), but the other time he just didnīt perform.

Look, the talent is there, no doubt about this...the speed also, since Iīm still to see Silva to lose a sprint for a forward. But imo Thiago is still a question mark. Iīm the minority in Brazil, since I always said that T. Silva was away over hyped by the Brazilian press. But the best thing for us and Silva, is that he didnīt play straight away. This time without to play, and learning the European game will do wonders for him.

Donīt get me wrong people, I still think Silva is best than anything we have but a healthy Nesta, but I will not to write here the same thing as I did with Alex before he came to Europe. At that time I wrote that I have no doubt Alex would be a instant success in Europe...Off Topic: I still remember the fights I had here with people saying he will be the next R. Junior, and that Bonera(a good squad player), Ferrari(yep, Ferrari!!), Senderos(yes, Senderos!!!) and Mexes(that is a good CB, but at the same time the most over hyped defender ever) would be better than him...ahh the old times

Back to the transfers: As I said last year, we are a little thin in attack, but thereīs no way the offense needs to be the priority in the market. We need a Hernanes or Ramires type at the mid and Alex(or another big and great CB) at the defense. Bring also one promising Italian youngster for the defense, because as a reputable journalist here in Brazil(heīs half Italian), with several friends in Italy press and in Calccio(Baggio, Del Piero, Doandoni...) said that Nestaīs case is really, really serious...and theres a BIG chance he never play professional football again

Btw, and talking about new rumours...despite to be a amazing prospect, I donīt like the idea of spending money on Keirrisson...

If Milan wants to spend money here(Keirrisson will be expensive), be wise, and spend on Hernanes or Ramires, Berlusca...

He has a lot to prove. He wasnīt playing in Brazil, so heīs a huge project. Letīs hope he can play at a high level...

People, remember Milito failed to perform in Argentina NT. Maybe he proves me wrong at Inter, but if he canīt coupe with the pressure of to play in Argentina NT, I canīt see him shining in a big club in Europe.

Imo heīs a great player for a middle or small team, but not for a big one. We will see if he goes to Inter...

Milito ?? another way of doing 'money laundering' (as quoted from MRKI 's post ) LOL

I believe he only performs for low-middle class team, genoa & zaragoza, nothing much he can offer.. , better recall paloschi as our backup

At the moment, I think we can bargain to get Agger since he's nearing end of contract (next yr?), acc. to the report, he's not interested to renew contract coz' what he needs now is a first team guarantee, and at the same time, that's what we can offer due to uncertainty in Nesta's condition (to patner Silva)

Having said that, I think it's too risky for us if the backline , especially CD's is filled with 2 first-timer in serie A, Santacroce could be wiser choice (provided his pricing is reasonable enough )

Fully agreed, but so far all quiet on the western front

I think Canna would be an excellent purchase. I don't mind the age if they can perform. For example, Maldini is way better than Senderos.

I hope we pick up Canna, a top striker, and Santacroce. I will be happy then.
Hassan Cannavaro is a very good player but his salary will be huge, at least 4m per year
so ifwe sign him for 2 year he will cost us at least 8m (we bought Silva for the same amount) and he is ill be 35+ as well so there is no gaurantee he'll perfom with the same level every week.
I still believe we should invest on younger players, Santacroce is one of those players I'd love to see in red and black, imagine this, if we bought Clinshy/Maxwell, Santacroce, Agger/ any othe CB, Gourcuff and a striker like Gomes/ Aquafrisca/ Gomez/ or BENZEMA (my dream), can any team in Italy or Europe stop us? I guess no.

But if we have Javier Zanetti, Cannavaro, and any other CB, someone like Giggs/ Schols/ Nedved and one of Drogba/ Trezeguet, those players are all world class and can make Milan the best team in Europe but only when they are fit and in good form, the problem is that they are old so they are more likely to get injured and be inconsistant.

I have nothing against 30 + players so long as they perfrom well and with consistancy but I have many agaisnt 35 + because even if they are great at the moment they suddenly collaps (Paolo Maldini for example) he was great in 2004/2005 probably the best defender that year, world class in the first half of 2005/2006 an then he could not perform with the same level any more.

Geo the player I mean is from Saint-Etienne Frensh international of African orgains, very strong phisically with some decent skills as well.
About Guillaume Hoarau, I don't know him as I said in my previous post, I just heard about him, I just posted his name as a potenial purchase he coul be good or bad I don't know.

Aaaaah !! Batefimbi Gomis !!
Yes he is physically strong, he can be fast, he is technically skilled, but he used to score ... since his selection for Euro 2008 (and he never was called again), he played worst than Shevchenko, and he's got time on the pitch, contrarly to Sheva !!

So we can easily say that Domenech burnt Gomis by using him too early in the French NT (before Euro 2008 competition, he never was selected in the French NT). Since that, he is only his own ghost.

So no way we take Gomis, if we buy a striker, we need a striker in form and able to score at his first games ... not another Sheva (even if Gomis is young and will probably come back to a decent level sooner or later).

For Hoarau, like I said, it's only his first year at a "high level" (Ligue 1 + UEFA Cup), so he's still unproven, taking him is a kind of bet. Anyway, I think he can be taken for 5-6M, Paris is likely to be in trouble economically and this guy came for nothing (end of contract). All depends on the project of the club: taking financial risks but trying to build a club able to fight for the title again and play the CL, or solving these financial problems by solding some of their good players.

Actually, the only real excellent purchase that can be made in France nowadays is ... Gourcuff . And we can take him back for free.

PS: About him, after a bad moment (from the end of January to 1-2 weeks ago), he starts to perform again like he did from August to January ...

ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
I wondered what had happened to Gomis, he seemed to just disappear completely. If I'm totally honest, I completely stumped as to who we should get for our attack, it's odd but I can't think of any names that don't leave me hesitating. I mentioned Hoarau being the best option I've heard so far, but as Geo said, this is his breakout season (if I'm honest I'd never heard of him before) and we know nothing about whether he'll be able to continue this form in the future.

My god, now my friend says he saw on SKy that Milan will confirm 4 fullbacks: Zambrotta, Marek, Antonini and Oddo. Galliani says Cannavaro is ok and Carlo wants one player verified before the summer and one during the summer and he'll also stay.

NExt year it will be a circus that Milan fans have never seen...

Maybe we can sell Dinho and Gourcuff and actually make the profit on mercato and now spend a penny on players a big club as Milan needs! Shamefull!

We here talk about Clichy, Hernanes, Eto'o and Gourcuff, Santacroce... palyers everyone in the world sees Milan needs to go for... and Berlusconi wants to "pay" for free Cannavaro, Oddo, sell Yoan... Fine do it. Then Curva can cancel year seats and you can sell the club you greedy *****.

Club is here for the fans, not for 3 people.

Benitez follows 4000 players with his scouts, we need to bring 35 year old Juventini to play for us coz they are famous... and we have like 5 scouts or something.

Mah...circus.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, remember Im telling it you NOW: 2010 england is a world champion 95%. I've now seen what Cappello can do from players like Johnson, C.Cole, relive Heskey etc. The way they move and the power this team now has once it is under brilliant coach... at this omment Brasil is laughable, Argantina lacks phisical presence, Italy is not the old Italy from Germany 2006, Domenech is bigger joke then Carlo and only capable thread is Spain. And of course, Germany who can by some miracle play in the final no matter how average their team is.

bit off topic. You know that for me Cappello is a god so I follow his clubs/NT's always

Don't you think you're going a bit too fast ?!
Noone in the club said that, Berlusconi himself never said he wants Cannavaro (Cannavaro himself said it wasn't true and Galliani too), they, for 100000000% sure never said they want to sell Gourcuff, ...

The only true rumours are about R80 maybe wanting to leave (if his declarations are from him and/or his agent for real) ... and it's not a bad thing actually as he clearly can't play with Kaka', so R80 leaving would be a step for the come back of Gourcuff and would allow the club to spend some money on the mercato to bring the players we need.

About the NT, Brazil and Argentina are weird, they probably never had as much potential as they have nowadays (and it's available for both I think), but I can't remember them playing as bad in official games !!

About Italy, don't be worried, they never play well in qualifications (often victories with 1-0 or 2-1, some luck sometimes too). The only issue for me is to see if Lippi will be able to build a new group, for moment, it's not the case and I wonder why some players are not taken (he takes Di Natale-Quagliarella, why not trying Pazzini-Cassano, he doesn't try new players for the defense, he should insert some young to replace sometimes Zambrotta and Cannavaro, ...). But an issue is solved by Lippi: he knows how to use Pirlo ...

About Spain, we'll see if they can be named "the best team on the planet" after the next WC, a bit like France in 1998-2000.

About England, they seem to be good but we'll see at the next WC, with more pressure ...

The real jokes are Portugal, France and Sweden ...

I think Berlu want to sell Milan but he wants to let it run down to the ground and sell it...
WTF are we doing with Canavaro if it is true???? the raw truth is whether we like it or not Kaka, Pato, Boneraand Flamini are our only players worthy of keeping...
we can give away the others for free and not lose... Where is MILAN???? i realy hate being attached to things i hav no control over... to hell with HOPE... its for those who are too week to try... if only i could get a hold of Gali and Berlu...

I keep reading that many fans would like to see Agger in Milan. I have nothing against that player, nor am I against his arrival, we shall see
Also, many people think that Milan is better than Liverpool, it's an opinion, everyone has a right to express one......
Agger not good enough for Liverpool, yet again, good enough for Milan...hmmmmmm

Well the central defense is our weakest line. Also the way I see it Agger is a better defender than both Skrtel and Jamie Carragher, he's just Struggled with injuries. Carragher plays cause he's English, and perhaps Skrtel just fits Liverpool's style a bit more. All in all I just don't think Agger really fits Liverpool that well, he belongs in a club that plays attacking football, not a defensive team like Liverpool. He's very aggresive, shows good anticipation and is excellent on the ball, which is really more typical for defenders in Italy, compared to English defenders who rely more on their physical strength.
