I hope the 'powerful forward' isn't Adebayor.. he's not that great. Misses truckload of chances (even more than Mario Gomez) and just isn't good enough for Milan. After an inflated last season, he's finally back to earth. Plus he struggles against closed defenses and in such a situation his only strength is his strength (literally) and his height. Boriello is as good as him.

Also, Eto'o wont leave Barca unless for sky high wages.. that might be a problem with Berlu.

Here we go again... Milan is not the GREAT team of the past so we should stop saying players are not good enough for Milan... since sheva only pato seem to be a good enough forward... and talking about chances being missed by forwards... Milan dont create enough clear cut chances for our strikers for them to miss many... Pippo relies on luck... lucky if he is not off side... we need a tru net banger...
next thing is we cant afford to buy a good striker because the are expensive... so we have to settle for a second or third rated striker... we have the money but we dont want to spend it on whats best for us... then we go out and TRY to compete with superior squads and HOPE to get a result...

Džeko scores again, twice in the first half. Its now more then 20 goals per season.

Carlo, Geo Tav, oftenly talked about a holding forward, a player "like" Boriello. That means a big classis no.9 forward. If Carlo got Eto'o and not Dinho, there would still not be a place for Boriello. In fact, Boriello was never a player of highest quality who could solve games and play first 11 in ac Milan ( yes, there are players I can say that are not good enough for the rossoneri. Otherwise it is loserrs mentality. We are AC Milan, the most titled club in past 20 years with a 2 year crisis....nothing is over!)

So if Milan buys Eto'o for example, and sells Dinho...Boriello would still be on the bench and there would not be a "holding forvard" in the team.

Im just saying, Carlo wants a holding no.9 and that is why Ancelotti wants Adebayor.

If we are signing Thiago Silva, Cannavaro and then another young player, then Cannavaro is mroe than welcomed. If, however, Cannavaro's signing means we are not signing that other young defender, then to hell with Cannavaro.
If we sign Cannavaro, then I better not hear a peep out of our hypocritical management about how the team wants to acquire younger players.

Im just saying, Carlo wants a holding no.9 and that is why Ancelotti wants Adebayor.
But Ancelotti never clearly said "I want Adebayor", he said that this player was interesting, that this player could be useful for the team, etc, but he never said "I want him", whereas he already said it for Eto'o.

And, I'm sorry, but again, even if I will be happy to have a tall striker in the team (if possible, a skilled tall striker lol), I can't see what is the need ... our fullbacks don't cross, and our midfielders like to play in the centre (Kaka' often go on a side to come back to centre for example), so what's the need ?

Eto'o, even if he's not mentally perfect (I don't like all his declarations in medias instead of just shutting up and playing), would be ideal for our team, actually, for any team in the world.

Eto'o, Pato, Borriello + Inzaghi: an attack of dreams !!
Eto'o can score in all kind of games (CL or championship), Pato will be able to do so too, Borriello can be mainly used in championship and Italian Cup, and Inzaghi can play when the games are blocked. Each guy gets minutes of playing times.

I agree with people's reservations about Adebayor. Another would be the african nations cup he would leave for (Same as Etoo)

But I remember Drogba in his first season at Chelsea, everyone thought he was just a big donkey. Look at him now, on his day he is an absolute nightmare for defenders. When Pippo came to Milan he used to miss so many chances it was unreal and when he score he was usually offside. Adebayor is reasonably young, and while I do agree we may be able to do better, we could do a damn sight worse. Beggars cant be choosers and if someone of Adebayor's quality does arrive I welcome it for 3 reasons:
1. We need a striker like him and we cant afford to spend another season hoping Boriello is it.
2. He is young and will get alot better
3. Playing at Milan with players like Pato, Kaka and Pirlo will no doubt improve his game further.

Im not saying he is the man who will solve all our problems, but Id rather him than us sign Romario (Which isnt impossible considering the stunts this mangement tries to pull)

About Etoo, we should have signed him from Real Majorca as I suggested on this very forum. That ship has sailed, let the scouts do what they are paid for and find us another Pato or at least a younger man.

Adebayor's biggest strength is his ball possession skill,a bit like ibra.He can be a AM in striker position, catch long balls, hold it safe, observe the game, and make a run or distribute.he will be A stir for the front influidity constantly harrassed us last few years.Gila and pippo were easily depossessed the ball by strong defenders, kaka lost the ball too much when he want over-pace the game, that's why carlo likes seedorf, and adebayor.we need A rhythem generator, that's very essential for the possession football we are playing.

Also a target man in the box,his height, strength and perseverance will be useful in breaking bunker defence.

Adebayor's ball possesion skill is only second to ibra(striker only) on this planet.and he can run like a marathon athlete.

Ibra misses tons of easy chances in his ajax days,I think adebayor's finish will improve with ages.

Carletto, no matter where you want to coach for next season, you have to give Albertazzi a shot by letting him pair with caption for the rest of the games. If he flops, Milan should splash some money for Santacroce, no less than 20m though.

I don't expect Albertazzi to flop, not as floppy as Kaladze for sure.

Imo we dont have lots of crosses from our midfielders (despite of their style of playing) and fullbacks is because we dont have tall striker to play with, maybe if borriello wasnt injured, they would be instructed to feed him with more crosses. (from some match highlights, especially when borriello was playing, I noticed quite a number of crosses played in the box, not sure too since he only played a few games only :P ), so if no tall striker, whats the use of many crosses in the box?

If we get adebayor,or when borrillo is fit again & plays on more regular basis then probably we would see more crosses from our midfileders & fullbacks .. cause they somehow would be instructed to maximise their height.
However, if we have etoo + pato next season, that would be a dream comes true ! just like old famous 'sheva+pippo' deadly pair !

Grosso is horrible at def. Give Albertazzi a chance and stop signing over 30 average players.

ATTACK : Talking about the tall CF, do anyone remember that Roque Santa Cruz will be out of contract at Blackburn and may be off to Man City.........Eventhough he is not world class atm, may be we could steal him from right under the noses of Man City and try him as the big CF alongside Pato & Kaka.....with Boriello, Sheva and Pipo/Paloschi as back-ups...

Plus Gourcuff, Kjaer , Agger (BUT MY DREAM SIGNING WILL BE VIDIC) and a really good young GK (i wonder who its gonna be...may be Kasper Schmeichel....or Valdes) for the future keeping Abbiatti

Send Kalac Dida Emerson to hell.............sell off Kaladze .....Loan out the youn Cardaccio Viudez
