Milan and Inter are quiet on market, I smell another huge exchange betwen two clubs.

Milan need defenders and we have Chivu, Burdisso, Maxwell on way out
Milan need striker and we have Adriano, Crespo, Cruz and mayv+be Aquafresca on way out
Inter need midllefielers and Milan have huge amount of them, Carlo won't use Gourcuff and we need player of that type. I smell something there.

Why don't you take Emerson and Seedorf and give us Chivu, Maxwell and Ibrahimovic in exchange?

Hey, we've been needing a physical forward like Adebayor ever since Gilardino proved to be a flop. I would have been ecstatic with Amauri, but all I am saying is if we were planning on buying Adebayor, last summer may have been the best time as he was yet to sign a new contract. He may have been overpriced, but for someone that young and with that much potential, it may have been money well spent.

As for now, if he keeps putting in top drawer performances, his price will only go up as he is now tied down to a longer term contract. All I'm saying is that if this is the player that management really wanted, we made a mistake to wait.

Do we give Boriello a chance? Sure, but can we endure another season like this? I would prefer just to buy another top forward and allow Boriello to recover from injury and prove himself again...at least gradually, rather than having to come back and be our main target man.

Gourcuff is going to be included in the deal for Adebayor. Wenger wants him, he know what his abilities are and is willing to take him plus cash

I don't like Ancelotti any more than anyone here but him leaving at this point might not be all music to our ears. As far as I have read, Ancelotti wanted to stay (big surprise), but he demanded to have some level of control over the transfer market (can't blame him for this one). So, if that is true and Ancelotti is now leaving, then that means Galliani have voted against giving the coach any control over the market whatsoever. And that is a major downside to a supposedly happy news of Ancelotti finally leaving.

As we all know, Galliani and his flunkies in the front office created this mess with the help of Ancelotti. If they continue to dominate the transfer market activities, we will be looking at the same damn strategy for a long time no matter who our new coach is. Rijkaard might be able to properly use Gourcuff but he is not the one that is going to take us over the top. As long as our transfer market activities still resemble that of a Serie B team, we won't be back on top for a long time.

Good point Slifersd, I think it's about time that we and other clubs in Italy, Juventus in particular, gave more power to the coaches when it comes to signing players. Us and Juventus have had fairly bad transferwindows for quite some time now, signing players that we simply don't need. Ronaldinho for us and Christian Poulsen for Juventus are the obvious examples of bad purchases that just doesn't seem to fit in the team from a sporting point of view. It simply becomes a mess when the coach, who decide's the tactics and everything else, can't chose players that he feels he can work with, and who he feels fits in the system in the best way.

I do hope the management changes the mind about this, and I honostly thought it was the right thing to do by Ancelotti to make that request, if those stories were true. But one thing is for sure, we need to change our approach to the transfermarket for a more modern one.

Christian, but Juventus had an excuse: they just came back from Serie B. So they weren't able to buy any top player. Even if they are Juventus, they were in Serie B the previous year and they didn't compete for any European competition, and at the start of their season, they even didn't believe they could qualify for the current CL.

The problem is that we have no excuse ...

Inter needs a true AM if they are to change their formation, but if they don't, they won't need an AM but real wingers, which almost doesn't exist anymore (except if Inter wants to spend 300M in one single summer by buying Messi and C.Ronaldo ?! Mourinho would be able to ask for that !! ).

Yes, to change 22 year old midfielder who can play CM, LM, RM and AM and plays in great form and for France NT for: Adriano ( MENTAL problems ), injured Chivu, Burdisso ( we already have Senderos, hahaha! ) and Maxwell whose contract will expire next year and needs to be sold this summer - its a brilliant idea...

Gazzetta reports that Milan will buy only young players this summer and that Carletto will be Chelsky's coach. Fine by me.

I smehow dont think Milan will go for Adebayor, to me it seems more likely Berlusconi will invest in Neymar and such players.

We alreaady have good essence of the team created by experienced players: Pirlo, Gattuso, Flamini, Ambrosini, Kaka', Nesta, Zambrotta... a mix between experienced and young is something that always works well.

I also now consider Gourcuff a player that has gained an imoprtans season for his game and has a feeling of playing big games with France NT. I dont think he'll have any problems in Milan with the arrival of a new coach. Im also confident Cigarini can be a player that can play well for us as a central mdfielder. Only thing is that he has the same caracteristics of movement of Pirlo and Flamini so... And there is talk also about Miranda and one more PArma midfielder...

I just hope that we won't try to go for both Dzeko and Grafite ... even if they are impressive together, even if Grafite is the best scorer of Bundesliga, it's his first good year and he is 30yo. I say that because I read that we were interested by both.
