Summer mercato 2009

Some odd rumours and news stories today. Ambrosini is pretty much asking for a contract renewal as his will run out next year. Galliani says we'll get two high level players into the squad and we'll get some of our youngsters back (as we know). Also, Albertazzi will join the squad next year (again, we know this).

However, the most bizarre news story today for me was definitely us going for Marcus Tulio Tanaka of Urawa Reds.

I really don't know anything about him, but I get the feeling it's a very slow news day.

Taking this Japanese guy would only be a way to sell more shirts in Asia and especially in Japan (a bit like MU did with this Chinese striker who only got 5 minutes last season of something like that ) ... I say that because he isn't the next big thing ?! We would be aware I think ...

As for Ambro's contract: well if we slash his wages, and if he is prepared to play a sub role (with Ancelotti though this will never happen), then he can stay.

But I have a feeling Juve will end up with Mexes and Aqualini.

And we will sign THE BEAST and thats the summer and Galli will come out once again and say we signed a great player in the BEAST as he solves all our problems b/c he can play CD, DM, M and STK.....

We don't need Mexes. I've seen him play a lot of times, but he has never impressed me. He's also injury prone and are too often involved in screw-ups and red cards. There should be many better and cheaper options for a new central defender.

Mexes would be a waste of money.

Agger, Keirrisson, Abate, Di Gennaro, Paloschi. something like that will be our mercato.

Albertazzi is a joung and promising player, but the man hasnt played a minute in a serious game. Galliani is full of **** with the way he talks about things.

Also, Santacroce is 3X better investment then Mexes and Agger. Only player I'd choose right now in front of him is Alex, but Chelsea will not sell.

Galliani also doesnt speak about Yoan, Milan will use him in some trade or will use the omney from him for a CB. Sad.

So what if Albertazzi hasn't played a minute in the serious game. Did Santon before he started playing at Inter?

Galliani said around new year that if Bordeaux will pay 15 mil, than Gourcuff will stay in France, otherwise he will return to Milan and will stay with us. He doesn't have to repeat himself every time...

Heh, I don't agree with some of you. I've seen many Napoli games this season and Santacroce has got potential but he has made many mistakes. He's still very young. For two - three years he can be the best Italian defender, but now he's worse option than Agger and even Mexes.

Some of you complain about Mexes that he plays too agressive. Let's compare stats and you'll see that Partenopei defender who you prefer to Philippe also isn't saint. :)

Mexes has played 24 games. Fouls committed: 37, yellow cards: 7, red cards: 2. Fabiano Santacroce has played 21 times. Fouls committed: 45, yellow cards: 6, red cards: 2.

Agger will be the best option for me. Santacroce doesn't give a patient in defensive line at the moment. The big unknown is Thiago Silva. We could note that he's very phisycal strong, but he sometimes makes mistakes in positioning. So Santacroce wouldn't be the best partner for him. Fabiano makes the same mistakes. :)

Ance enjoys Alex's game, because of his game in the air (I don't know how to say it in English; I've copied from Polish). He looks for hard and English - playing defender. That's why we have loaned Senderos.

Mexes is the most over rated defender in Italy in my opinion he is just another version of Kaladze and he is very very very hot headed, he always involves in problems and reseves yellow/red cards way older than Santacrocca and Zapata and he is very expensive as well it will be a mistake to pay 15 m for a player like him.

My friend from MM from Balkans has made some brilliant comments today, I have to share it with you so you can see how ridiculous job Galliani is doing at the moment:

- Our no.1 defender Nesta got injured some 50 days before the start of the season. his injury is of that magnitute that even a willage doctor could see that he will not play football this year, and maybe never again. We did not hing.
- Kaladze ( he called him "the barbarian from Georgia(Gruzija)", hahaha! ) has a knee injurd and torn ligaments since 2006, a cronical inury. Since his relationship with Berlusconi's daughter Kaladze has a certain fundation in which Berlusconi also participates. He made numerous mistakes this year and costed us goals and goals...

- Maldini is 40/41. There is no more need to comment of what the hell, IN REALITY, Galliani expected from him.

- Galliani calles in from Zurich with a boom-news: We got Senderos. A player Wenger sent to hell coz he doesnt need him. Man comes in here and cant fix his injury for 3 months.

- we bring a defender who cant play for the next 6 months.

That's WAY to many cards to be honost... Nesta never got anything near that, we already have Ambrosini! Perhaps Santacroce isn't as good as everyone thinks. I only saw him against us as far as I remember, and he was brilliant there, but ofcourse that doesn't make a good player.

Mexes is a big no, as far as I'm concerned, what bothers me when he gets carded that often is that it's not really proffesional fouls, fouls he had to do, it's often cause he's just hot headed, a bit like Sergio Ramos. He's a liability, and THE most overrated defender in serie a.

Another option could be Vidic again. Apparently Manchester United are in a bit of a financial crisis at the moment, and could be forced to sell some players: Man Utd in crisis This could make the rumours earlier the season become reality. Vidic is a beast in the air, one of the best when it comes to that aspect. Still I'd consider Zapata as a potentially better defender, for far less money, but I wouldnt' complain if Vidic came.

Bashing Galliani all the time sounds like bashing the prime minister in Egypt all the time don’t you think he is just a tool, a toy facing the camera while the main player is behind the scene, Berlu is the one who runs that circus and if he want to stop it he will, just like the president in Egypt, when things go wrong it Galliani/the prime minister’s mistake and when it goes right it’s Berlu/the president brilliant ideas.
