Just wanted to say thanks for any help in advance..well we've got out hotel booked its Naviglio Grande in milan via rossini....is it best to catch a bus there from Malpensa airport and if so which one ? Can someone please give me the best bus service or cheapest way to travel from the airport to the hotel....will i be able to buy our tickets on the saturday or wait till the sunday....we can't wait to go..I'm a Portsmouth fan and my son loves Milan..we saw ACMilan at fratton park..great game..will it be a full stadium....

oh we travel out sat morning...

Don't take a taxi unless you're really in a hurry to get to the hotel...
it may cost you 70+ euros.

There's a shuttle bus as soon as you walk out of the terminal that goes to the Stazione Centrale... this will cost you like 5 euros only.

your hotel is in the Southwest of the city... as soon as you walk out of the Stazione Centrale take the Metropolitana (subway) to Fermata Romolo (Romolo Stop)...

dont excpect a full stadium... and as Sant said as soon as u go out of the airport u`ll see lots of bus shuttles taking u to Milan central station., so no worries there....u`ll even get offered a bus ticket in the airplane, however its best not to get it there.

if your hotel is on the west side of the city, closer to the stadium, then i would recommend that you take the malpensa express, which is the train...and not the malpensa shuttle, which is the bus

we took both during our trip...we took the malpensa express (train) INTO milano...and the malpensa shuttle (bus) FROM milano to the airport

we did this because the train takes you to the cadorna station in milano, and not all the way through the city to the north side where the bus drops you off at the centrale station

our first hotel was near the stadium so taking the train only to cadorna worked well. at the end of our trip we had changed to a hotel near the centrale station, so taking the bus back to the airport worked well

with your hotel being on the west side of the city (per SANT's post), traveling on the train to the cadorna station should be just fine. plus, the train is nicer, quicker and you can see more from the train than you can from the bus

once you reach the cadorna station, find out which subway station your hotel is located near and take the subway. the subway in milan is very easy to use

and i would agree with SANT...do not take a taxi to/from the airport...it would be very expensive and should not be necessary with a little planning on your part

have fun at the game...we had a blast!!
