Milan, Ancelotti resta fino al 2010Probabile anche il rinnovo per un anno

Carlo Ancelotti sarà l'allenatore del Milan 2009/2010. Non vi sono più dubbi dopo le parole di lunedì di Berlusconi, che incontrerà a fine campionato, insieme a Galliani, il tecnico emiliano, per programmare di comune accordo, tenendo conto delle rispettive esigenze tecniche ed economiche, la campagna rafforzamento per la prossima stagione. Forse ad Ancelotti verrà addirittura proposto l'allungamento di un anno del contratto, che scade nel 2010.

Un chiaro e forte segnale alla squadra dell'alta considerazione che i massimi dirigenti rossoneri riservano ad un allenatore non solo bravo sul campo, ma soprattutto straordinario nel gestire un gruppo di grandi campioni. Ancelotti certamente ha avuto contatti con altri club (uno su tutti il Chelsea) ma, nonostante le continue voci sull'altissimo ingaggio proposto al tecnico - 6 milioni di euro per 3 anni - , sembra si sia trattato solo di vaghi contatti, senza cifre concrete messe nero su bianco.

Il tecnico, inoltre, correttamente ha sempre comunicato ai suoi interlocutori che non si sarebbe potuto muovere senza l'ok del Milan. I rapporti tra la società e il suo allenatore sono sempre stati molto forti, talmente saldi che, anche in caso di quarto posto, Galliani avrebbe trattenuto Ancelotti, cambiando di fatto il precedente proposito: o terzo posto o separazione. Proprio l'amministratore delegato ha approfondito poco la questione, in queste settimane, evitando che uscissero dalla sede altri nomi di allenatori, perché la squadra non si distraesse tanto da perdere di vista il fondamentale, vitale obiettivo, la qualificazione in Coppa Campioni.

Il prolungamento del contratto non significa automaticamente che l'allenatore rimarrà sulla panchina fino al 2011, perché, più che Chelsea o Real, l'ambizione di Ancelotti, per l'eventuale dopo Milan, è quella di allenare la Nazionale alla fine del ciclo Lippi, ma certamente tale rinnovo permetterebbe alle due parti di fare un punto della situazione ai primi del 2010, con una programmazione più ponderata sia per quello che riguarda il futuro tecnico del Milan sia affinchè Ancelotti possa capire se veramente ci sia l'eventuale volontà da parte della Federazione di affidargli il compito di guidare l'Italia per l'Europeo 2012 in Ucraina e il Mondiale 2014 in Brasile.

Insomma, come ripete spesso, con un sorriso, Ancelotti, i tanti pretendenti alla panchina del Milan devono rassegnarsi e mettersi in paziente fila.

E ancora: "Il modo con cui questo campionato finira', potra' incidere anche sulle decisioni che riguardano il futuro di Ancelotti".

If Carlo was such a bad coach, why would all the top clubs be after him? It doesnt make sense to me.

Everybody wanting someone doesn't mean this someone is great. Let's take the example in music: everybody listening to ... Britney Spears doesn't mean that her music is great to listen ?

Anyway, I'm up for another Ancelotti year !! ^^

If I have to choose, my choice will be Ancellotti without any doubt.
He is one of the best and it is proven that he can hold together many big names in the squad.
It is true that after a long time sometimes a change will be wished and needed but I cannot see someone available that can bring instant better results than him.
PLUS he deserve to stay another year to break the record of Nereo Rocco.

When Rijkaard finished his career in Barca, he had not won anything in 2 seasons, but teams chased after him. He proved his quality before and nobody cared who he prefer in that squad. It's all going into history. Chelsea or Real whoever chasing Carletto couldn't care less about how he kisses Seedorf and trashes Gourcuff, it's not their problem.

I'd vote for Zorro.

Because he may not be good for us but may be good elsewhere. For example we didn't need Ronaldinho this year so he isn't good for us but doesn't mean he couldn't be good somewhere else. Same with Gilardino.

That being said, with some of the names being linked with us...I think I'd prefer keep Carlo for his final year rather than bring in Genoa's or Cagliari's coach. Besides, our next coach should be someone from the Sacchi era right, which means Rijkaard or someone like that.

The Flying Dutchmen Trio: Gullit, Van & Rijkaard are free.

Or another of Sacchi era: Baresi, Tassotti, Costacuta, Donadoni, or... Maldini.

However, Ancelotti is the best, I think (for one year more)

For Gullit, I didn't know he was a coach ? What teams did he coach ?
Van Basten failed to qualify Ajax for the next CL by ending third, which is bad for a team like Ajax in the Netherlands (it's like us ending between 5th and 8th). He also failed with his national team. He seems to still have things to learn.
Rijkaard ... umh it's Rijkaard, I don't know, there is something I don't like in the coach Rijkaard.

Let's keep Ancelotti and let's win Serie A and CL next year !!

After Van Basten's dismal failure @ Ajax, the only thing he should b on a short-list for is some more coaching lessons.

I definately don't want him @ Milan....that would be an unmitigated disaster.

A poor list if I'm honest. Van Basten and Gullit are yet to prove they are decent managers (at least at club level). Rijkaard for me is a very big questionmark, and many people argue his time at Barcelona was especially a success due to Ten Caat.

Baresi is unproven as a coach, and Tassotti might be good but again is unproven. Costacurta hasn't succeeded yet as a coach, and is still very new to the field and Maldini is yet to finish playing, never mind start coaching (if he actually decides to go into it).

Donadoni is with Napoli.

I know you were probably being sarcastic, but right now I don't think it's really a good idea to look at ex-Milan players to coach Milan. I actually like Berlu's idea that should Carlo leave we should try a new upcoming manager.

Yeah, I just want to prove that no one is better than Carlo now.

We need one year to look carefully for a coach. There are many high potential Serie A Coach this season, maybe Leonardo or Tassotti also want the role, they all need time to prepare.
