I read on channel4 that Dida was a possible absentee due to injury? Anyone with any more news on this?

its still wednesday...the reports are all speculation... wait until friday so we can know whether dida/dinho are playing or not

Only Tuttosport (Juve paper) has reported on it. Gazzetta hasn't mentioned anything yet, so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

He's worked his ass off this year to get back in shape from all the injury crap last season, and he doesn't deserve this.

actually, he doesnt deserve a chance to be in the Milan squad this year but he still is....so he should be thankful

arrr... we are back to this Dida argument again. I don't know - kalac or Dida; come up with a vote post and we'll see what people think.

But underperforming stiffs like Dinho and Seedorf do, right? Whatever.

oh no I am not comparing him to anyone....IMO he doesn't deserve a chance and I'm sure I'm not the only one.... and yea Seedorf's been pretty inconsistent with some good performances once a month so yeah I agree with you there....but it's Dinho's only first season here - he deserves a shot and when he got it, he repayed us back with so many goals, but for the second half of the season he's startd I think 2 games only.

Let's put this Dida issue to bed, the guy is a joke and the sooner he retires the better. Anyone who brings shame to the Milan jersey doesn't deserve to wear it.

I think you are too hard to Dida. Every player has bad times and so does Dida. Dida doesn't make problems with Milan like for example Adriano did with Inter. The real problem of him is only his bad performance last year AND of course his wages that yet doesn't suit to his status in Milan.

Anyway, I just think about something: Nesta has a wage, he didn't play for a year because of injuries, we even don't see him in San Siro sometimes like Gattuso usually does when he is injured (maybe I'm wrong ?), nobody thinks it is a problem to pay him ?

I think Dida has a too high wage for his current level and role, but you can't cut a wage like that, there is a contract to respect ...

The difference is that Nesta untill now has satisfied all desires from all fans since he never did such a very bad performance constantly like Dida did last year. Plus to add is that he showed a high level quality performances every year while Dida showed kind of performances only in a couple of seasons.

A one two bad/very bad games of Nesta will be vanished by so many games of great performances but many games of bad/very bad games can't be vanished by similar amount of great games. Something like that.

The other logic reason is of course the injury. Nesta can't run from injury.

Of course we can't cut wage like that but we can sell him.

I just wonder, players that are on top form often ask more wages otherwise he will go to other club (wage rise not only to pay his topform but also to make his status clear : untransferable). So, why don't the club start to do the vice versa by telling the underperformed players (for quite a long time, not only underperformed for a couple of months) to sign a new contract with lower wages or the players will be sold. I am just thinking though.

Yeah, enough with this stupid Dida argument.

1. The guy was the best GK in the world a few seasons ago.
2. Did one very stupid mistake(Celtic), is that a reason to hate him?
3. So what if he's got a big wage? Will Berlu miss his millions? They gave him a contract and he signed it. Their mistake.
4. He was always here when called upon, never made any unprofessional comments in the press.
5. This season showing that he can be good again.

If we can say "Dida doesn't deserve his wage for X reason", why couldn't we say "Nesta doesn't deserve his wage for X reason" too ?

I'm not a fan at all of Dida, but it's boring to see on each topic a player of the team used as a target being bashed (Dida here, Ancelotti there, Kaladze then, or Seedorf, or R80, each page on the forum has at least one post with a player from our own team bashed).

Then, you said, we can sell him: no, if Dida wants to stay, you can accept any deal with any club, if he doesn't sign the contract in this other club, he will stay. What is seen like a good thing for Kaka' (loyalty towards the club) is seen like a bad thing for Dida (wants to be paid). One situation, two explanations depending on the player ...
