We can't keep our best players? I can't remember many players leaving Milan at the peak of their careers, can you? Well, Shevchenko... But that was because he really wanted to go because of his family.

Exacly, As has been writing about Kaka for year now, I dont even read stories like these anymore. I know our golden boy is not going anywhere.

I seriously doubt Kaka is leaving, this season at least. For one, Leonardo is a guy handpicked by Berlusconi to become the new Capello of this team. You have to assume that when he was promised the position, he was also promised with a lot of other support from the management as well. And selling the best player upon his first season here would make Leonardo look like an idiot taking this job as well as a bad coach because of the lack of talent on his team. Although I do think Kaka will leave for Real Madrid eventually (due to the will of the management), this summer is definitely the wrong time for it to happen.

Speaking of the mercato, we do need to start working on it. We have already secured the CL spot and decided on our new coach (for a while now). There is no excuse for us to be sitting back and watching every other team in Serie A getting busy, especially since Juventus doesn't even have a coach yet and already signed two major players. With the lack of top quality players in the market, teams are getting smart about their transfer strategies and start working early. We no longer have the luxury of milking our negotiation until August 31 and still land a top talent like Nesta or Gilardino (he was a top talent at the moment). If we continue to wait around like we don't really care, then we'd be picking up nothing but leftovers from other teams. And as any bum from your local street corner can tell you, picking up leftovers ain't exactly as as glamorous as it sounds.

Galliani IS in Madrid with Perez on some kind of re-election party as they are friends. He is not on the coast somewhere but is in Madid after all. Which is not something that surprises a lot considering Galliani lies whenever he says something in public.

They can go after the best players in the world and bully clubs into selling them. Mrki is right, and I have touched on this several times, if we sell Kaka' we will be a smaller club. Our image as a big club will be greatly tarnished.

After waving the Milan jersey in January and I could go on....make no mistake that if this happens - and when it is on the front of page of Gazzetta it's a bit more believeable - then all parties involved are to blame.

Come on, Hasan, cheer up. I follow the news everyday too, but I don't take it seriously. It is all silly rumor and that's how they sell newspapers. After all, there is nothing that we can do either whether it is true or false, right? Just be patient and wait for the "final" news.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Kaka will leave.

Berlusconi is playing with fire atm...This time Kaka wont say NO(he is a big Reak admirer), this is getting ridiculous, but If they gonna sell just do it now...so we can get smb valuable to at least try replace him. On the other hand you`s have to ask Why the hell we let Yoan go when we were about to sell KAKA.


I agree with mrki on this, how on earth a team that has underperformed massively in the last years can make such an approach to our best player, and we can not say NO.

This can be some berlusconi media game again, but peres is no fool, he wont allow to happen what happened to Man City owners... He got FIGO,RONALDO,BECKHAM and Zidane....from their respective teams which were much stronger than Milan nowadays...we might be seeing the end of Milan -Kaka relationship.

And KAkA can go on saying leave me alone,I`m staying here, but his father being in Madrid says enough,unfortunately

Agree with you kastriot, it certainly looks like we are past the point of AS and others making stuff up, the details can be made up and exaggerated by them but we have almost 'invited bids' more than once now and it's playing with fire.

I no longer doubt too much what the press has to say, after Carlo´s departure, many things, including a "clear-out" are possible, and if the Gazetta is making these bold statements, (as they did correctly with Carlo to Chelski) then what am I to think?

Being a veteran of many a "Kaka to (insert club here)" rumors in the past, the time when we will sell up seems emminent.

Now, I think I am with those posters here who want Berlu to sell the club.

Many people told me this winter, when I said that Kaka' would leave this summer or never that I was too pessimistic, he would go nowhere, etc ...

The problem is that now, I think he is going to leave. What I don't get is why accepting such a low offer (all "newspapers" talk about a 65M offer), especially after the one from Manchester City ?

Anyway, I try to take it with philosophy: if Kaka' leaves, maybe are we going to have a Milan team able to perform (with new players) and not a Milan team depending only on Kaka' form ...

So apparently a trustworthy Spanish source (Radio Cadena Ser) claims it's a done deal.
65MIL without any extra players... And Kaka would be earning a small 9MIL / year.

If this is true and we sold him for 65MIL (to a team with a mercato budget of 300MIL) without any other players in exchange I suppose that would be the dumbest move ever, on the transfermarket. (except maybe for that team that sold Gourcuff for 15MIL )


Problem is we all know that Kaka wants to stay but it seems to be all depending on Berlusconi, Galliani and the $$$. All I want to hear now is an honest and direct statement coming from Galliani whether any of these rumours are true or not. But I guess that won't happen.
