Let's make a hypothetical scenario here: What's the incentive for selling Kaka` besides money really, and how does it really help Milan rebuild?

I just don't see it except for financial reason. Then what's next?

Or is it just another way for Berlusconi to gain more popularity, only to come out and say, "we are not selling him" something like that?

I am in the same mindset as Jeff here. Berlu had said nothing sofar, and quite frankly, this is just like Jan. Berlu will most likely come out and say, I stopped the deal-as Perez had used his friendship with Gallini to leverage a Kaka's transfer.....
Then all of us will be cheering for the great man Berlu and how he saves the day.....
And everyone will forget the fact that NOTHING HAD REALLY CHANGED. Kaka is still our player, Berlu is the boss, Galli is made to be a fool, RM hates us, Leo is the coach.....

The funny thing about all this is that fans here tends to always believe the press and the MGT when it comes to bad news, but when it is a good rumor, like Seedorf for Alex swap, we laughed at it and actually use our common sense to reject the rumor.

Here are some common sense on Kaka-Real or any other team

1. Kaka came out and said he is staying in Milan and that he does not want to leave
2. Leo is the new head coach, and I bet that no coach in the world will say I don't want Kaka on my team. Although Leo can probably discover another Kaka, but until someone like Kaka comes along, no point selling the REAL KAKA.
3. Galliani and Perez are friends, he might just be there for the party and even Kaka's dad might be invited as Perez wants Kaka. It is normal, I would do that if I am Perez too. Having said that do you think Perez is stupid enough to think that Berlu does not have the final say?
4. If Berlu wants to sell the club to the oil billionare from Middle East, will the club worth more with Kaka or without Kaka?
5. IF Berlu wants to keep the club, having Kaka can somehow ensure success but without Kaka, the team has a good chance to struggle. Keeping Kaka to play CL will have a higher chance winning the CL, the payoff is much higher than just selling Kaka now and crash out of CL next season. Having said that, if we crash out of CL next season, we might sell Kaka next summer.
6. The final say for all these Kaka transfer rumor comes down to two men, Kaka and Berlu. Kaka wants to stay and Berlu knows that selling Kaka means nothing.
7. Perez is no fool, I think all these Kaka stuff are just smoke screen for him to get Villa or Silva. As he can use 65Mil for Kaka as a point to leverage Valencia to lower Villa and Silva price. Since last time I check, I think Villa has a 55Mil price tag.

Conclusion, don't believe in what the media are telling you even if it is the most reliable source up to date, as they don't know the complete story.

As for Brasiliso, I am not trashing your source and all, but don't believe in them as ESPN is not that reliable too.

Thats not true man, absolutely not true...as I wrote earlier after these two mercatos where Berlu is using Kaka name to make publicity, you think he will be indifferent!??? You think his ok with oll this saga and name dragging?? and one more think How is Pato feeling atm!!?? Why cant this be him after 2-3 years??

Imagine how hard is this one Kaka if he truly means and wants to stay in MIlan, and your telling me nothin has really changed!!

If Kaka goes then I'll not support Milan till those 2 bald goons are gone, which considering their age should hopefully be soon.

If Kaka goes then Berlu should just sell up because there is no reason other than money. First Sheva, now Kaka, it's just made us look pathetic.

Sheva wanted to leave, so that was a different situation.

If Kaka wants to leave, well, so be it. Milan takes the money and moves on.

But it appears that Kaka does not want to leave. If Milan mgmt forces him to accept the transfer then it will look bad on Milan.

Kaka is good friends with Sheva. He saw what happened to him and his career when he left Milan and I believe it's left a mark. On the other hand, he sees a guy like Maldini who has become a legend for staying his entire career. I think Kaka is a smart man and will not be blinded by money. *IF* Milan mgmt wants to keep him, he will choose to stay.

Thats whats idiotic here...If he wants money, just keep Kaka and sell the club the Arabs...Kaka in Real Madrid is worth 65 milion, but KAka in Milan is at least double that amount...So if arabs initial offer is 400 mil with Kaka in it...just do the math how much smaller the offer without Kaka will be, if they show interest in that case.

All this is so crap in every aspect, it doesnt make sense not in a single angle you try to see it...but Berlu is such a controversial figure I wont be surprised if he opts for selling.

And to think that elections are coming in Italy, this makes even less sense..

Not entirely. The bids started before he came out and said he wanted to be sold. You don't see anyone bidding for Messi, no one was bidding for Ibra when he was at Juve. 5+ years ago, no one would bid for a player like that at Milan unless he was actually for sale.

The controversial pair at the top are playing with the devil, and making us look small by the messages we send out.

am, i dont see why we just never sold kaka to madrid for 55 mil and ask for a player as well, like van der vaart, robben or sneijder.

As Devoted DM posted in the other thread

Quote:
" REAL MADRID PRESIDENCY: ADRIANO GALLIANI THE FIRST INVITED
6/2/2009
MILAN - Milan Delegate Administrator Adriano Galliani is in the city of Madrid exclusively for the dinner inaugurating Florentino Perez as the new Real Madrid president."
This suggests Galliani was correct in that he was in Madrid to celebrate Perez returning. More importantly, I doubt at the party negotiations for Kaka would be ongoing, if they were to negotiate, I would assume it would start properly now.

Quite honestly, I also doubt negotiations would be ongoing without Berlu being in the loop, as this isn't a small deal (it would be the biggest in football history).

I think we just need to calm down. Spanish press are going all out about this story, but they're about as reliable as my next door neighbour. The Italian and other press, are simply stating rumours, yet aren't providing any evidence as proof. The closest to us saying yes is Berlu saying he might have to sell Kaka. The press is saying Kaka has also said yes already, which I doubt considering what he asked to be quoted as saying yesterday morning.

Truth is, during the Man City saga everything looked like a done deal if the press was to be believed. In hindsight I don't think they really even got anywhere during negotiations and the likelihood of that deal taking place was extremely slim. This time things are moving at blistering pace and apparently it's a done deal. I'm not buying it. Until I see official confirmation on our side I don't see any point in giving it too much time.

Jeff, for Hasan and me it was clear that most probably Kaka would be sold, and not because we are wizards, but by reflecting on the messages send by Berlusconi /Galliani on these last months.

By selling Kaka and other players like Pirlo is not only lots of cash money from the sales but also reducing the wages expenditure.
In fact Milan target for the coming season is to reduce the wages by 30%.
For me even the Ancelotti/Leonardo exchange was in this direction.

With the money from the sales and the wage reductions, Milan can buy good promising young players. After all that's the wish of many fans including this forum (not mine)

selling pato gourcuff pirlo and kaka is silly policy and the only reason is economic. milan would find it much more productive to sell seedorf oddo kalac dida and ronaldinho. plus sell at least of half the players of 50/50 contracts and 25% of players on loan. if you wanted to cut the wages of the team it is better to get the weakest players especially if they command a wage of 4 million euros+. look at the cost of selling shevchenko buying ronaldo and buying ricardo olive. the management think there are securing the long term future of milan what they are actually doing is destroying it. I could just about stomach kaka going but non of the other top stars should leave it is vital the management have completely lost their minds.

The best for a top club like Milan economically is winning and you can't win anything when your top players are Favalli, Cardacio and Borriello... Keeping Kaka would be a lot cheaper than replacing him, because there's not one single player that can replace him. If we're serious about competing for CL and Serie A then we have no star-players to lose, at least not when they really want to stay themselves.

besides some one like kaka probably earns milan 40 a season through tshirt sells and sponsoship he earns every euro of his wage. it player like seedorf and dida who aren't pulling their weight. use the cash to rebuild the team who is Milan going to buy with real and man city picking up every player plus the 2 non eu restriction on players. it crazy economically it crazy in terms of gaining new revenues and it crazy in terms of Milan of gaining future sporting successes. Pep had the vision to get rid of the dead wood in barcelona leonardo is getting rid of our versions of messi and eto. to be straight forward kaka season has been average in terms of quality he still deserve to be a milan players instead of seedorf and co.

You have to be kidding me? You want them to die? When they will die is not up to you, it's up to God.
