Milan's Adriano Galliani Explains Reasons Behind Kaka's Sale
The certain departure of the superstar Brazilian has been attributed to the club's monetary situation...

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admitted that Kaka is leaving the club this team, unlike what happened in January with the Manchester City saga.

Galliani declared that the decision was taken due to economic issues and that the Rossoneri could not reject such a high offer again.

"Milan cannot lose €70 million every year," explained the director to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Even the heart must face the numbers, but we are not demobilising. A great attacker, a forward, will arrive, since next year we will play with the 4-3-1-2. I hope the fans understand."

Galliani then denied that any of the other important players are leaving.

"[Alexandre] Pato, [Andrea] Pirlo and [Clarence] Seedorf are not for sale," he confirmed.

With Chelsea claiming to have never bid for Kaka, it seems that the Brazilian player's path to Real Madrid should now be a relatively smooth one.

not always, most of the times yes. but why should he lie about this, its easyer to say kaka will stay as thats what the fans wanna hear, it makes no sense! face it dude, ricky will be sold, I think it's quite clear!

I'm still not completely convinced. Kaka's apparently is happy to leave yet refuses to comment to the press. Berlu has put the whole thing on hold until Monday after the elections. Galliani is quoted as saying we can't aquire debts of 70m euros every year knowing full well we're in CL so the debt won't be so high this year and he hasn't explicitely said anything about selling Kaka (only vague aluding towards it) and finally, Perez has come out saying outright that he's still unsure whether Kaka will play in Real next season and his hope is that his friendship with Galliani can facilitate the transfer, so clearly no agreement is in place if this is the case.

I think Real's real target is probably Ronaldo, who Perez also commented on and who seems more easily attainable this summer after United's CL disappointment.

My final argument is Kaka conveniently made his last official quote just before this whole story splashed out everywhere (on the same day in fact). He said he was staying and he addressed his quote to the fans directly. It just seems very convenient that he'd make such a strong statement just before this whole thing started.

To be honest, if Seedorf stays and the others leave. I will stop supporting Milan right that minute and start supporting Man Utd, Barcelona, Juve and even Inter. As it shows that the MGT have NO IDEA what to do with the direction of the club. On one hand, they don't want to increase Kaka's contract and want to sell him, on another they are giving out huge contracts to the likes of Seedorf, Dida and Kaladze. Kaka before tax costs Milan 18Mil, while Seedorf is 11mil, Dida is 9mil and Kaladze is 8mil. It is a total of 46Mil, if Seedorf, Dida and Kaladze are sold, and Milan replace them with a true backup Goalie (3Mil max/salary wise), someone like Hernanes/Essien/De Rossi in midfield(12mil) and no need to replace Kaladze as he never plays anyway. With a 4 mil increase to Kaka, the total will be 37Mil, thats a saving of 9mil and all parties will be happy, Milan saves 9mil a year, Kaka will make 22/2=11mil a season.

The thing I don't understand about this economic issues from Gallaini is that everyone can do the math, therefore, I think these are a whole bunch of lies that the MGT are making and at the end, Kaka will stay and Berlu will come out and be the first owner in Series A to admit that, in order to compete with the EPL and La Liga, I have no choice but to sell part of the club to a foreign investor. What a perfect excuse and a great script to help himself make money.
To me, I am not looking at how much Kaka can make for Milan, since the max is 120Mil. It is how much money the shares of Milan is worth. If Milan do sell 40% share for 400Mil to those Arab, Berlu will make 400MIl and more by giving out papers(shares/contracts).
Now if you are Berlu, which deal would make sense to you? Selling Kaka and make 120Mil or selling paper and make 400Mil.

Don't know about you but I will sell paper for 400Mil. And all I need to do is spend 50Mil of that on incoming players and pocket 350Mil and nobody can say anything about me b/c all of us will be thrill that Kaka is staying on top of that 2 headline signings(at least are coming) 50Mil=De Rossi, Santacroce and Dzeko


NOw thats a business deal, and not those where is Kaka going to play next season crap, we are poor we must sell players......

Interesting transfer market. By the way Toni is already 32 years old AND underperforming. Why should we buy such a player? He will need time to regain his performance and if he can do it fast, he will have only 1-2 years to show what he can do since he is not young anymore.

What keeps me wondering is why we still use Jankulovski on the left side?

I think Real real target is the Milan trio of Seedorf, Dida and Kaladze. Gallaini is using his friendship with Perez to facilitate the transfer. IF Real would take those three along with Kaka for 65Mil + Snejder, Diarra and Ramos. I say do it, heck I will even throw in Oddo.

Just read someone the Chelsea is asking for Pirlo for 25MIl, now thats a good deal

I refuse to believe anything that Galliani is saying, he just lies too much. Beside, he said the same thing about Kaka in Jan.
