Those signings you list are nice, but unfortunately very unrealistic even if we sell Kaka. Dzeko for me is an interesting signing as it'll indicate the game we intend to play. Eto'o is a great player, but given how much he'd cost for probably a maximum of 3 years it'd seem a disappointing transfer, whilst Benzema has just come out of a pretty poor season. He's a good player, but he's yet to prove a lot and Lyon would make anyone pay a world class transfer fee for him. Personally, I think Dzeko also appears to have attributes better suited to the next Milan than Benzema (if Leonardo is to be believed). Getting Dzeko could be a really interesting idea. Playing him alongside Pato in a two man attack would work wonders if they're supported well. I would like to believe and continue to have high hopes Kaka will remain to make a trident that works on 3 levels of play, which would make for a lethal attacking unit. Likewise, getting Hernanes is just as plausible an idea, just that Pato would play further up. I only really hope that should Kaka leave we do actually get a realistic replacement for him. Berlu has mentioned Dinho, but I'm not convinced in the slightest by him, especially playing in such an important role. Edit... Saby, there's no point in worrying as we're all in the same boat, no one knows anything except for Kaka and probably Berlu and Galliani. Even if Kaka leaves, it's not the end of Milan, we can and should be able to rebuild. Btw, does anyone know when we should hear about this whole Kaka saga? I know Berlu said tomorrow but then said talks were today, so is there a chance it'll all be announced today? Christian, just a hypothetical question, but how would you see Pato, Zigoni and Paloschi working together? Just wondered because I was thinking similarly about the prospect of Dzeko, Pato and Palo in the future. Last edited by ACMILAN1983; 07-06-2009 at 12:15. |

I do. For these reasons:
1) every press is still desperate for the conclusive evidence of his move, so clearly nobody knows what is actually going on. 2)these unfolding developments are almost identical to those we had in January. The series of drip-drip leakage of reports, seeming to be confirming of his move, one after the other, like some orchestra trying to reach the climax of a symphony with crescendo, while everybody waits for the inevitable denouement: Italian style, very much so. 3)the short interview Kaka purportedly gave yesterday, in which he said he was not leaving, was miraculously erased from the face of the Internet. Who do you think has the power and influence to perform ssuch a task? Not RM, and crucially they had no need to do it, irrespective of the veracity of the report's claim, for they were and are, utterly confident of capturing him. 4)RM do not need to medical him. If and when they do, they will broadcast it to the world, just like Barca did with Henry. RM will gleefully broadcast every single moment tof Kaka's arrival. No doubt. Also why As did not realise this medical was going to happen? |

something amazing will have to happen to scuttle the transfer of Kaka to Real similar to the events of January. I honestly believe that Man City were ill prepared to sign Kaka while Real has had this type of experience needed to make a compelling case for kaka to sign. Unlike January Galliani and Berlusconi are united on selling Kaka with that in mind the only thing stopping the deal is Kaka saying i want to stay at Milan and there is nothing the management or my agent can do about it. I always hope some Fans theory are correct that Milan are using Kaka like a worm on hook to attract players like ramos and robben to join AC Milan. But if you analyse the statements and the environment affects surrounding AC Milan you begin to see a strong intention to sell Kaka. Most compelling is the fact Milan have a new manager who for now has very little power and is limited in displaying his objections against selling Kaka. The Kaka deal still 50/50 chance of being completed but its more than likely those odds will tip one way or another on monday. I would guess a plan has been in place for two years now to sell Kaka Galliani was just looking for his first opportunity to offload the player for big bucks. Of course Galliani thinks he is acting in the best interest of the Milan by securing capital that can be used in the future as he can't see how Milan is going to gain any sort of serious capital from the infrastructure. just consider this 15 years ago Milan turnover 40% of its income from gate receipts roughly 50 milion euros per season now Milan is barely making 30 million euros a season gate receipts. it is becoming obvious that if Milan wants to keep its top stars that a new stadium or a completely new san siro is needed. We probably wouldn't have to sell Kaka if Milan got revenue from a up to date stadium.

![]() Well, truthfully I'm a pretty calm person, but if Kaka is sold I'll wish him (although not Real Madrid) well and life will go on. Milan is bigger than any one player. Selling Jose Altafini to Napoli didn't prevent the Rossoneri from winning the Scudetto and the European Cup in the late 60s. Milan won two Scudetti in the three years after losing Marco to career-ending injury. The Champions League was won after Sheva was sold to Chelsea. And as I said, no player is really worth what Real Madrid is offering. There's always so much chance of injury or a run of poor form. Before you know it, Kaka will be 30 and everyone will consider him "old" anyway (you know how it works!). So if he goes I'll enjoy watching to see how the money is spent and hopefully some great young players will be brought in to make Milan a European contender (and sometime Champion) for years to come. One thing I will add is that I would bet that even if Real Madrid is successful in buying both Kaka and Ronaldo, I truly believe Milan will win another Champions League trophy before they do. Milan is all about being a team. Real Madrid is a collection of gallacticos. Seriously, what good will Kaka be if Ronaldo is hogging the ball from him all the time? They already have too many players who need for things to revolve around them and not enough players to do the heavy lifting. So I'm confident that everything will be fine either way.

About Dzeko or Hernanes, if we get either of them then it's wonderful news. Dzeko is probably the 'hottest' striker in europe at the moment. Benzema has had a poor season, Eto'o has been playing really poorly since christmas for Barcelona, which sounds rediculess considering he has scored quite a few goals, and considering his goal in the CL final, but he has really lacked consistency, and it has been pretty normal for him to miss 2-3 big chances a game lately. I do feel we should have a bit more faith in Ronaldinho though, he shouldn't be the direct replacement for Kaka, I agree, but I do feel that he still can contribute. Don't forget that he did play really well in his last couple of games, despite only being a sub. Remember the Roma game?? He looked confident, and as soon as he had confidence he was absolutly godlike. I agree he is a questionmark, and we can't just not sign anybody and hope things go well, but still, I don't think we should write him off just yet. Leonardo seems like the one that can get the most out of him, and in the event that he gets close to his best level, then we'll be set. |

Nice post Rick.
Berlusconi: I will talk to Kaka' tomorrow evening. It depends on me whether or not to keep him.(goal.com) Interesting, if I read it correctly. Suddenly, Berlusconi is taking this matter into his own hands...weird. Anyway, go enjoy your Sunday people. |

The decision was taken long ago.
My friends, I have no doubt that Berlusconi is an expert in marketing, but that many of you believed him in the reconsideration of selling Kaka is great. This is only an excuse in trying to save votes for the election which will close today at 10.00 pm. |

I have to edit my previous post:
Berlusconi: I will talk to Kaka' tomorrow evening. If it were up to me I'd keep him. That is what Berlusconi actually said. |

Hasan, I still think we are keeping Kaka.....as Maltese_Charlie said, this is all a plot for the elections. This situation is so much like the Man City saga.
Take it easy boys, Kaka's staying! Enough about him. So we can't get both Dzeko and Hernanes, it has to be one or the other? hmmmm, I would have liked to get both. Doesn't one of them have an EU-passport somewhere? If I were to chose between one of them.....I think ... i will say..... Hernanes. Our midfield is the one that needs a creative player right now, our strikers arent great either but they are better than the midfield. I think we should also get Rossi as a striker, he always wanted to join Milan (he's a fan too). |

So guys, if which player do you prefer if you have to choose : Hernanes or Dzeko?
![]() If Kaka goes and it's true that Leonardo plays 4-3-3 formation, Dzeko could be more useful since he can play as targetman or as second forward/wing forward (he was an attacking midfielder before playing now as striker). That will make : --Pato----Boriello------Dzeko-- ------------Pirlo-------------- -----Flamini-------Gattuso---- With Hernanes, we could play like : ------Rossi----------Pato/Boriello-------- --------------Pilro-------------- ---Flamini---Hernanes--Gattuso-- I personally prefer Hernanes because I think, in these days having a very strong midfield (with good strikers) is better than having a very strong forward with only good midfield. PS : I don't believe Ronaldinho can get his best or at least 80-90% of his best performance. From what Leonardo advised Pato at the beginning of season 2008/09 that he should have more concentration in the training (or something like that), I doubt Leonardo will play Ronaldinho. Last edited by Siregar; 07-06-2009 at 15:33. Reason: Deleting Dzeko from the second formation |

A trio of Hernanes, Pirlo and I hope Kaka will be as great as Barcelona have (Iniesta, Xavi, Messi). Even if Kaka goes, a combination of Hernanes, Pirlo, Flamini and Gattuso could be also form a very strong midfield. Rossi is still a very rationable option regarding his quality, price and position of play. |

dzeko doesn't have a german passport or eu passport, check the link below. I think german either have 5 non eu spots or no restrictions on players so quite a lot of the foreign players have work visa's.
