What you think now?
After watching this, i feel he is definitely very overrated. A single dimension player, 4 of the 5 goals are scored from exactly the same location and same style and the last one is from the same place on the other side of the pitch. I don't see how he will make it big in Serie A and UCL if he keep doing the same thing.

Honestly, I am so scared for next season. I don't care of Dzeko, even if he is Bosnian (I'm partial to Bosnia, Albania, etc) but the reality is that unless Ronaldinho gets fit, and I don't mean match-fit (as in plays games) he needs to get FIT.

Look at Ronaldinho at Barca, Attachment 11890

This is Ronaldinho http://en.ce.cn/sports/soccer/200807...5223089956.jpg that we have now.

I love Ronaldinho, my nick name was given to me when I was footballer, coaches called me Samaldinho after him. But, he has to show that he's not just talented, because we know he is. It seems that even he fails to realize that many times why his tricks worked was because he had the speed and strength to get past the defender after they (the defender) tried to tear him down after the trick was down.

I just hope that our sale of Kaka to Real Madrid is like Barca's sale of Ronaldinho. It is always rumored to happen, it never does, and when it does happen, Kaka is not the same player he once was, and we win the Champions League right after he leaves.

But hey, is Henry can improve on his first season at Barca, maybe Ronaldinho can do the same here? I hope so.
Am I the only one think that Pirlo has all the abilities to play behind strikers? He is a very creative player and also very exprienced now and I do think he is more than capable to do the playmaker job behind the two strikers (if Milan play with 2 strikers). But it means that Milan still need a creative midfielder for their midfield if Pirlo is set to play in Kaka's position.

with him we can't play a normal system of 4-4-2.
Why would we EVER want to play a normal 4-4-2? No team in modern football plays well with a play 4-4-2, Inter doesn't play that way, Man Utd, Barca, no one. Oh yeah, Juve does, and look at how that worked out for them.

And if 4 or 5 goals of Dzeko's goals come from the same place, that makes him one dimensional? Man, I guess Super Pippo should just give up, he scores so many goals in the same location I wonder if has what it takes for Serie A.

To be honest, as a former striker, I'll tell you, if you can score the same goal, from the same place, that means you are actually even better. Why? Because the other team's defender watches you before you play, they study you, and if they know you like to do something, and they know it, and you can still do it when they know that you're going to do it, that means you're awesome.

Hope that helps.

He's a good goalscorer, but not much else.

Given his height and stature, I think people have assumed he's quite a multi-faceted striker (naturally those attributes help form a good target-man, hold-up striker etc) but in reality, I don't feel his attribute range is diverse enough to justify the hype.

I heard about him in January 2008, and since then, I have tried to follow his progress as much as possible.

He's a very good goalscorer, but IMO, he doesn't do much else. His hold-up play for a man of his stature isn't very good; he doesn't run the channels; he doesn't put the defence under heavy pressure when off of the ball; he's not a great dribbler; he doesn't have exceptional vision.

I concede that his touch, his movement, and his finishing are all superb, but I would much rather a better all-round player a la Gignac.

One more thing Berlu made over 30 million from the sale of Sheva and how much of that was spent on reinforcements? Same will happen with Kaka.

I think he can fit right there Siregar...he isnt pacy, but you dont need pace...you need skill, guile and an ability to see the play before it happens...pace helps, but it isnt the be-all and end-all of the tequartista.

The further up the field he plays, the more effective he is....didnt Pirlo play in a 442 for Italy in the WC? Cant recall....

Plus, if we were to sell Pirlo, I think D'Agostino or Cigarini would be the best options to replace him.

I don't want Milan to become a team full of non-Italians. I am not a fan of the Italian supremacist movement, I'm not even Italian, but I hope that Italian teams stay Italian, just like I'd hope my Egyptian teams stay Egyptian, but I love the mix of foreign and domestic, but clubs should maintain their national character, otherwise, all of our cultures become less valuable (football-wise).

I just wish Santacroce was linked to us as heavily as Dzeko. If I knew that Grosso, Santacroce, and Oddo were all going to be at Milan next season, I would feel a lot better. Plus, it is monday, and I was hoping to just get punched in the stomach with Kaka's sale or cheer for his stay, and now this is just cruel. I hate Berlu more and more.

Yes, I agree. With Pirlo Milan could be like at time when Rui Costa was our playmaker.

As far as I remember, Pirlo and Gattuso were the two midfielders in the centre with two other midfielders or forwards sideways.

We'd get A LOT of money for Kaka too and in all honesty, the way his group constantly demand wage increases also bothers me. We should aim to keep Kaka imo, as he's a brilliant player who is a massive part of our club. However, there are limits as to how much this stuff can go on, and if Bosco and co are always so ready to negotiate with other clubs and chase after the cash, then why should we stop them. I'm getting to the point where I'd probably just be willing to accept the offer if this is the way it is.

Seedorf and Kaladze are in different positions for me. Both have contributed a lot in the past and deserve credit for it. However, neither are playing to the standard expected of them at the club and at least in my perspective, that's why we should sell them.
I also think likewise. If i am playing CM with current AC Milan team, i would sell kaka if some clubs offer me that kind of money too. Kaka has for the past 2 seasons been injury prone and a bit too inconsistent than the kaka in the past. The fact that he is getting so much money from the club and yet keep having rumors about him leaving for more money is annoying.

Seedorf and Kaladze should be sold if we can get some decent and younger players as replacements. They are not going to get better, only worse. There are many more young talents out there that can bring us better performance.

Italy played this 4-4-1-1 formation for the World Cup, but it really looked like this:

-------------------Buffon
--Zambro--Nesta---------Canna----Grosso
-----------------Pirlo
---Gattuso------------------De Rossi/Perrotta
Camo
-----------------Totti
-----------------Toni

So it was actually more like a 4-3-1-1-1. The three midfielders were rather central, allowing Zambro and Grosso to constantly push forward, and Camo provided some sort of protection should Zambro get to far ahead. Though Gattuso generally covered every blade of grass, so it didn't matter.

It is one of my favorite systems, and I hope that Italy play that system again, I think the young Juve players will help make that system a reality.

You know what? Since Juve just bought Diego, why don't we just buy Giovinco? He would be fantastic, and has admitted that he is a Milan fan. It will never happen, but, I can only dream.

Great point. Italian teams should stay Italian with a small mix of foreign stars

Kaladze and Seedorf could be useful as backups BUT they earn too much for backup. Kaladze and Seedorf earn 4 million and this is too much for players with quality like them. I assume 4 million is a net wage for the player which means Milan should proide 16 millions per year only for the two players.

Sorry if I only mention Kaladze and Seedorf regarding the wages, it's only example.

Go back and watch Pippo goals again, he score from all kinds of situations and all angles, headers, tap in, chip over keeper, heck he even score with his butt, chest......how can he be compared to a player who only know how to score from a single place? Defenders only pay attention to famous aka star players....how famous is Dzeko whom is relatively unknown before current season?

PS, Serie A and UCL defenders are not the same standard as those german teams and he won't make it if that is his standard.
