you have to expect a revolution at Milan new manager selling the most affective player, i bet you won't recognise Milan in August. With over 80 million euros and clubs chasing pirlo and jankulovski etc you can expect to see a brand new team. hopefully this revolution won't end in disaster

I don't think that Galli has much to say on Pato's situation.
If the lad decides he doesn't want to remain in Milan, he'll demand to be released and Galli can cry over him all he wants but would then be forced to sell him because nobody wants an unhappy player.

But like rinogattuso said, no word for the fans, for us, for the ones who protested, etc ... 6 years spent in that club ... the fact that he smiles in the official introduction of the player (you know when he gets the Real shirt in Bernabeu), it's ok, but there, it's too early to see him smiling like that !!

His dream came true ... and how will we all feel when he will kiss his Real jersey after scoring ? We will feel like people who have been totally stupid for 6 years.

The worrying thing is that Kakas deal will set a new precident in transfers Like Laporta said earlier today. Every club we deal with knows we have the money, so they will try and Fleece us for every penny.

It just doesn't make sense to me because if Milan is about to do something big, money has to be spent, and a lot of it.
60 million is allegedly just to cover the debt. And to return to the throne, Milan has to invest at least 60 more

apparently the agreement was if Kaka was sold Berlusconi would cover the clubs debt this year, i don't think for a minute that the management would be silly enough to spend the cash on 70 million euro debt it would be retarded in every way. If berlusconi doesn't cover the debt than i would expect it to stand for a couple more seasons before eventually getting paid off. I would suggest that the sale of big name players was intended to give Milan a transfer fund for the 09/10 season and maybe even the 10/11 season.

What makes you feel that this year will be different from the previous three?
No, I'm not assuming he'll put forth his best effort. It's just that I'm not assuming that he won't. The conditions and the opportunity are there for him to take up the challenge. It's up to him to do it.

Here, you put up a great point about the money. What I ask is, what about the motivation to join our squad? We just sold our best player off, we are technically a team in transition (though some of our previous greats have gone as far as to say we are in decline). What would be the motivation of the players to actually come to our second tier club? We don't seem to be that good at challenging for trophies anymore, and the country's tax rate means that players can actually join a club with just as good a history as ours, but at the same time pocketing more salary. You have to face the reality, mate, we're just not as attractive a club as we used to be anymore.

Yes, we may actually attract talent to the club, and yet how many will be able to prove themselves? In the past 5 or 6 years we've attracted "talents" and maybe 3 out of a possible 35 have lived up to the hype, and the rest were all washed up, "proven" stars who still could not make the grade.
Milan won the Champions League only two years ago. Do you really think that players now see Milan as a "second tier" club just because Kaka was sold? Yes, the tax rate (I'm not sure why Berlusconi can't do something about that) and the economy make it more difficult, but things are tough for almost all clubs. There are never guarantees when you buy a player and sometimes it's impossible to satisfy fans who complain if a player is over 25, yet want only players who are already proven at the highest level brought in. But Milan has always been good at finding players such as Sheva, Kaka, etc., and helping them to achieve greatness. If you're only going to be satisfied with Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, then you're right -- Milan won't be able to attract such players at the moment. But Milan can find players who are on the verge of greatness and help them achieve it.

This is a big worry, but it was inevitable. If it hadn't been Kaka, it would have been somebody else. Right now Madrid is preparing to offer Manchester United more money than they just paid for Kaka to try to buy Ronaldo. This will happen as long as there are clubs such as Real Madrid who bask in their own arrogance and clubs such as Manchester City who become playthings for billionaires who have so much money they don't know what to do with it. But this has become the case in all of sports today.

That's true. Which is also why I think the deal was worth much more then 67mil. I doubt Berlusconi sold Kaka for 67mil when he had an offer of 100 mil just 4 months ago. Galliani and Perez are friends and Real might be Kakas dream club, but business is business and you don't end up with 11 bil with rejecting 100 mil and then accepting 67 mil 4 months later. It will never be trully known and the 67 mil number I think is only a "newspaper number". A number around 80 mil is more believable. Also, the less they claim, the less will the fans ask for big splash of money on the market. (ex. If they say we got 67 mil we will expect them to spend at least 50 of it on the market.......as opposed to them saying they got 80 mil and we expect they spend at least 65 mil.)

There is also something in it for Perez.....as now he can go and lower the prices of Ribery and Villa. Saying that since he signed Kaka for 67 mil, Villa shouldn't be worth more then 40 mil and neither should Ribery. (example)

I personally never trust the prices that are thrown to us by the papers or the officials. No one is ever completely honest when it comes to business no matter what kind of business we are talking about.

I wouldn't even be surprised if we sign Dzeko(just and example) for 20 mil now and claim that we spent 30 mil on him in order to prove that our pockets have emptied a bit so we can drop prices for other players.
