If we sell Pirlo, we should buy Fabregas since the money should be actually avaialable except the management use the money for paying the debt which is not a smart move IMO (solving a problem with the easiest way without preventing the bad effects in the coming years/future, a sinking Milan).
Yes it would be great for Milan. It looks like Galliani's work if I've ever seen it. Would love to get someone who knows Italian to comment it though, because as far as I understand it should be passed as soon as tomorrow?

And the best strikers go like this:

Zlatan; Villa; Torres...

Behind Pato, and Superpippo.

I find this one quite funny...yet at the same time if Berlusconi and Uncle Fester thought they could get away with it, I wouldn't put it past them.

Samuel Eto’o Could Leave Barcelona For Milan For Free In 2010 - Report
The Italian and Spanish press agree that ‘Samu’ could head to the San Siro next year on a free transfer…
11 Jun 2009 00:42:57

AC Milan appear to have clearly outlined their plan to sign Samuel Eto’o from Barcelona without having to cough up a single Euro to the Catalans.

Sportmediaset.it has reported that the Rossoneri have already made their proposal to recruit the Cameroonian striker in 2010 when his contract runs out with the Blaugrana. And the player’s advisor, Josep Maria Mesalles has been informed of this deal after he was contacted by FIFA agent, Ernesto Bronzetti.

Barcelona-based Sport believes that the transaction will go through, as they speculate that Eto’o’s refusal to be transferred out at present is due largely to the offer tabled by the Milanese outfit.

Despite netting a handsome €64.5 million from Real Madrid for Kaka, Milan president, Silvio Berlusconi is reluctant to splash the cash straight away as he looks to stabilise the club’s financial status first. And it is possible that Eto’o could be offered the staggering contract he demands if he can be purchased for free.

It has also been reported that Milan could go for Luca Toni instead this season while they wait for Samu’s arrival next year.

This looks rather interesting but I can't make heads nor tails of it. Any of our Italian speakers want to take a shot at summarizing?

Tutto Milan: Dzeko libera Fabiano.

£30 million plus those two would have been a more likely scenario.
The point is cash+players.

Rosella can not reinforce their squad the way it needs to be done and they will soon fight for 4th place and pray that they make it in the CL so they can turn over a bigger amount of money. This year they missed out on it and it'll hurt them bad. I can imagine that their situation will be twice as bad next year if they miss out on it again, as meanwhile teams like Fiorentina are investing and getting better. Also, without the finances they don't look like they will challenge for much in the future unless Sensi sells the club. Even Totti admitted that he thought hard about leaving some years ago, because he wanted to win something and content the Ballon D'or. There isn't a doubt that De Rossi will be tempted too if Roma keep disappointing and Rosella keeps getting further in debt. Is he going to be able to beat the temptations?

Aquilani is a different case in my opinion. He was going to leave this summer if Roma didn't offer him a new deal I think.

About D'Agostino. A couple of months ago I brought it up and said that he was one of the best CM in Italy this season. He was the reason of Udinese's success in the first half of the season and pulled all the strings in their midfield (even though he got a lot of help from Inler/Isla). We should have acted on that much sooner, but now he seems gone to Juve.

Cigarini is great too......but he also, has gone to Napoli.

Unfortunately we were late in both cases and they are both great players. I would be ecstatic if we hijack Juve's deal for D'Agostino now. He'll be a great lift for our midfield next year.
The funny thing is that for the past two years we kept hearing Roma will go bankrupt....and yet they have not sell any of its top players, De Rossi, Aqualaini, Mexes, Totti, Juan...yet they actually went out and bought and overpaid for Riise, Menez and Baptista.

I'm doubtful on this. Why would Eto'o risk coming to play for a team that may not even be in the CL next year. Kaka left, Gorky left, Maldini retired. Pirlo and Pato are on the bubble.

Don't tell me he's coming to play with our greats, Slowdorf and Dida.

Besides, I would think Barca would want to get some return and sell him before this happens.

WOLVES: DZEKO NOT FOR SALE
Wolfsburg have no intention of selling star striker Edin Dzeko, despite AC Milan's interest.

The Rossoneri have already held talks with the Bundesliga club, but even if they were keen on investing some of the money they earned from selling Kaka to Real Madrid this week, the Wolves would turn them down.

"Dzeko is not for sale," said Wolfsburg general manager Jurgen Marbach in Kicker magazine.

"We have had contact with AC Milan, but did not talk about money.

"Our opinion remains the same: There are contracts and they will be respected."

Dzeko led Wolfsburg's charge to the Bundesliga title last season with his 26 goals making him the league's second highest scorer behind his team-mate Grafite.

That record has earned the 23-year-old many fans throughout Europe with sides in England also believed to be interested in the Bosnia-Herzegovina international, who joined the Wolves from FK Teplice in 2007.

His contract with the Bundesliga side runs until 2011.

Dezko may not come.......

Well, there is Tevez. Last I check, he is a free agent, right? Or had he signed with Man City already.

Mind you that, when Milan were at its best during 2002-2005, the team did not have a target man, and yet, they were argubly the best team in Europe and in Italy.
Imagine a great passing game of Tevez, Pato and Dinho, it could break any defense in Europe.

I think Eto can be more dangerous than Ibra for Inter under JM. Since, JM likes to play a fast game and Eto is the type of fast striker that JM likes to have.

I don't think he's worth anything near that to be honest, and Milan would be foolish to pay that price.

I know this is about Milan's Summer Mercato, but news this morning is that Man Utd have accepted a £80 million offer for Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...td/8094720.stm

They could be creating something special there or they may implode, I don't see how they can fit all those attacking players on the pitch. It might turn out bad for all parties involved in the transfer, which I pray for, because I hate Real and Man Utd. Thats £24 million more than we got for Kaka btw.

The deal would be GREAT for Man Utd...

CR7 is no where near Kaka, and they are getting 80mil!

I believe Kaka should have been sold at that figure!

ya I read it on times online ....

now surely Higuin will find himself on the bench, not bad choice for Milan, he is main Goal scorer for Real last season.

Thats a great deal for ManUtd, and hopefully those Yankees will keep the money instead of letting Fergie spend them.

Real will be pretty scary with a lineup of
Higuin/Huntelaar
Kaka-Snedjer-Diarra-Gago-CR7
Marcelo-Pepe-Garay-Ramos
Ika
Bench: Robben, Saviola, Diarra, VDV...

Hopefully their coach sucks and they don't do well.

You know what, I'm worried about this move. We suddenly have another big money transfer. Does anyone but me see it as bad for us? They get 80 Mil for Ronaldo, that means they could potentially outbid us for any player we want to get to strengthen our squad.... and still have spare change in their pockets to buy another one or two youngsters if they felt like it....
