Just when I am getting over the Kaka's sale and now CR7 is almost a Real player for 80Mil, Perez must be doing what Seedorf was doing to Carlo to Galli to get a discount price for Kaka.

Geo, Diarra has been one of the best Real Merda players in the second half of the season. This guy works real hard.

Their defense is an awesome joke. I don't see anything blatantly wrong with their midfiled and attack especially with Kaka in their ranks.

I guess they are making an extremely stupid mistake signing CR7 for around 80mil euros. Kaka and Mesi could compliment each other well but CR7? He plays his own game for his own sake.

The difference in age could justify the price difference: Kaka' is almost three years older than C. Ronaldo. Thereby Kaka' had some injuries this year and he didn't perfrom that well.

Will be interesting to see how Kaka' will cope with this situation. Because he was already complaining with Milan, that Ronaldinho limited his possibilities.

I think CR7 is the type of player who he must have respect for his manager, if not, he is a lose cannon. But he has respect for his manager and other teammates, ie Kaka. He is awesome and is not afraid of anything. I think his main problem is playing against older defender, as he has the drive to I have to beat them one on one. Thats why he always struggle against older defenders, Oddo a few yrs back and Pugol this year. Now I am not saying Barcelona should buy Favalli now to play against him, but he relies on his strength and speed too much, hopefully he will learn and he will indeed be a great player.

You must be joking right? We're all Milan fans and naturally we probably all like Kaka because he played for Milan. Being a Liverpool fan I dislike Man Utd and Ronaldo, but this guy has become a monster player and Kaka can't even touch what he has done last two years, whether he plays well in big games or not. Don't be mistaken I've always rated Kaka no.1 player in the world in recent years, but I think Messi and Ronaldo have overtaken him now.

No. Kaka' is three years older and less marketable. Ronaldo is at the peak of his powers, while Kaka', let's face it, is not enjoying the best of form.

I mean, I even read somewhere (not necessarily reliable) that Milan is looking to strengthen the defense with Gallas. Is that the kind of move that was supposed to start a new cycle as the baldies claimed?
This may be true to an extent, though it still remains to be seen. Ribery does not want to go the Prem and Bayern do not want to sell (they're not playing hardball--they want to keep him).

----

In conclusion, what these two transfers have shown is that Man U can be bullied just like Milan were. I refuse to believe that Man U's rather onerous debt has nothing to do with this move. It grows every year, and while they could have a transfer fund of 80 million sterling a year, they only see 20% of that because of payments. Hence, they probably thought they could use the C. Ronaldo money to buy players.

From soccernet: "His old team, meanwhile, seemingly have £80m to spend. That’s if it’s not spent on the club’s ever spiralling debt mountain, a legacy of the Glazer regime for whom Ronaldo delivered on-field success and now a pile of hard cash."

Football is in trouble, and we have to realize that Real are financing these moves through loans. Regardless of the Spanish banks' largesse, this could have repercussions in the future.

The reason Real have paid 80 million (talking to my Spanish friends) is because Calderon had an agreement in place for that much. For sure I would have liked about 10 million sterling more from Real for Kaka', but I don't think the difference is that rankling.

Milan and Man U were both more successful than Real this decade (Milan and Man U have both done extremely well in Europe, with Milan winning two CLs in Europe and Man U reaching two finals, winning one), but it is the Spanish giants who are still the biggest club in the world.

All depends on which Diarra you speak about ... if Lassana, I agree, he is a hard worker and was one of their best midfielders. If you speak about Mahmadou, he is seriously a joke in Real and if I'm not wrong, he has been injured this season.

I would not use the word being bullied, when someone is paying 80Mil for one of your players(who claims he wants to leave and try new things).

On top of that, we still have not see Fergie or Glazers coming out and say that we must sell Ronaldo in order to pay our debts.......

People, let's get one thing straight:

The only reason we would get Hernanes is to replace Pirlo. If Pirlo stays, no Hernanes.

Also, why are people assuming Thiago Silva would play on the wings? He's a central defender, not a wing back. Even though he's probably a lot better than Bonera, he's no full back; especially not the kind Leo wants. The only way we buy a great CB is if Nesta can't be depended on.

------------------------------------Abbiati (Dida)

Zamrotta (Felipe)--Nesta (Bonera)--Thiago Silva (Kaladze)---Jankulovski (Zambrotta)

-------------------------Gattuso (Flamini)-----Ambrosini (Seedorf)
---------------------------------Hernanes (Seedorf)

--------------------------------------------Ronaldinho (Seedorf)
--------------Pato (Paloschi)
-----------------------------------------Dzeko (Borriello, Pippo)

Madrid are crazy how exactly to you fit ronaldo and kaka in a team without playing one of them of position plus they plan to buy Villa and maybe xavi alonso. this is definitely not good for Milan transfer objectives, we will end up buying our no players in August at this rate, there are some crazy transfer prices out there at the moment. Milan only immediate transfer objective is Dzeko as for selling players like kaladze and dida well they will emergency buys at the end of the summer transfer window. We will have to wait until the dust settles hopefully real will finish this spending splurge soon and let the clubs return to a normal transfer market

So, do you guys think it would be a good idea now to sell Pirlo, Pato and all the players we could get some descent money from and try to rebuild the squad completely or would it be better to keep our current squad with just one or two extra signings added?

On Man U website, they just wrote a "breaking transfer record news" saying they accepted the deal after the player claimed to be sold ...

It's not by selling players that Manchester United will be able to cover their debt ... it's too high !!

Starting everything from the start is not a good thing ...

We should build around this "axe" (any sense in english ?):
Thiago Silva => Flamini => Pato
(if Thiago Silva is as good as expected)

Yes, Geo, I meant Lass. I almost forgot a certain Mahmadou Diarra

I would agree on this one but the thing that frightens me are Berlu's blurbs about just covering the debt with Kaka's money so it would seem that now we're balanced but other big transfers are not likely.....

making any sense.....???
