Possibility of some good news and boy are are we due some..lega calcio are meeting today and one of the things on the the agenda is increasing the number of non-eu spots to 3, ringing serie a in line with la liga.

May pave the way for the signings of Hernanes and Dzeko. Fingers crossed!!

I hear there's a sale at Real Merda: Channel4.com
Higuain, Huntelaar, Sneijder maybe even Robben, those are players who could be relatively cheap if they sign someone like David Villa.

Also Geo, I'd have to disagree with you, Pique has become a good defender this year, he's actually a surprisingly good passer, but Puyol is one of the best defenders in the world in my opinion.

I still don't understand why we are not after one of them. We should get them pretty cheap because of that Kaka' transfer...

If we can get them combined for 40 mil euros + one more defender in the form of (Zapata or Santacro.) we really should be happy, and I think we will be competitive enough at least for the Scudetto,as I have a feeling next year Inter will push really hard for the CL in the expense of the scudetto.

Maybe a LB is needed badly, but there arent any good ones around

-----------------Abbiati------------
Silva---Nesta----Santacr??---Zambro
--Flamini/Rinho---Pirlo----Hernanes--
---------------Dinho----------------
----------Pato------Dzeko----------

Actually this is not that bad.Hypotheticaly speeking the only thing that worries me here, is that we have too static midfield again. Dinho-Piro- and Hernane(from what i`ve seen is no that pacey)

Milan are pursuing Dzeko at the moment limiting any kind of deals for the dutch players at real. Madrid set out a target of spending 210 million euros in the summer transfer window they are not at the point yet were they need to sell players in order to buy. Anyway they are going to want a decent price for the players so reports of these stars being cheap are grossly exaggerated. In addition Milan are attempting to buy a young squad of players who are injury free. Robben and sneijder both 25 are obviously injury prone players and as for hunterlaar he will stay at madrid unless some one bids a stupid amount of cash. AC might pick up a player if real offer a option of a discount purchase and a first purchase option on the perspective player. I reckon the most likely players to come to milan are Robben and Saviola both are keen to move and would offer Milan a better offensive option and both are very cheap at the moment.

It seems like Real have gotten their hands on Villa. (http://www.corrieredellosport.it/Not...so+anche+Villa)
Also, it seems that Inter are willing to spend 40m on Benzema. (http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calcio...21541282.shtml)

No surprise on Villa. If Inter wants Benzema they'd better hope the reports of Fergie wanting to spend some of the Ronaldo money on him aren't true. I'm about 95% sure he'd choose United over Inter.

Still off topic, I just saw this little gem about the Ronaldo transfer on the BBC site:

Quote:
America's Los Angeles Times took a more quirky look at the transfer by jokingly saying: "The hair-gel industry in north-west England suffered a catastrophic blow on Thursday in a world-record sports transaction after which the soccer marvel Cristiano Ronaldo seemed Spain-bound."
I'll bet Paris Hilton's bed was greasy after Ronaldo left her early in the morning.

Yes, people dont realis how ****ed we now are without the pace and mobility of Kaka'. They just paint pretty pictures in their heads of Ronaldinho playing like in PSG. Dinho cant play this CAM role. He is now limited to the left wing. Only way in to make Pato play wide right and he'll need to play deeper then this year coz Dinho cant defend at all.

-----------Seedorf-----
-----Kaka'-----
--------Pippo-----

This cant work with Dinho, Pato and Dzeko coz Dinho is not able to play as Seedorf could and Pato also cant play as deep as Kaka' did. PAto is classic forward, seconda punta at best.

We actually dont need Ronaldinho at all. He is the one that, prosessionally looking at things, should have been sold and not Kaka'. Only solution is that Milan buys a player similar to Kaka' and for Pato to play CF. Which we had in Ka-Pa-Ro that never worked coz Dinho cant run.

Other solution is that we bulid super strong defence and compact midfield. To play like Chelsea does now. But in Chelase Maldouda, J.Cole, Kalou play defensive as well.

Realistically, our game will look like this:
------Rino----Pirlo-------
---------Hernanes?-----

Dinho
Pato

Dzeko
------------------------------------------------

To defend in CL like that is irresponsible. Flamini over Pirlo could be a solution.

Santacroce is maybe the best prospect in Italy (with Chiellini), but he still has a lot to prove, and you know what ?! His origins are ... Brazilian !!

In England, I can't find any excellent defender except Vidic (but he never played with someone else than Ferdinand actually at the highest level, so it's maybe just their duo that is excellent), Touré and Alex.

In Spain, I just see Puyol and Piqué as excellent defenders (I rate Piqué a lot more highly than Puyol).
Sergio Ramos? Maldini himself named him as his successor, and in England theres Carragher, Agger, Terry, Carvalho, to name a few, any of whom is better than any Brazilian central defender.

Seriously, none of Agger, carragher, terry or Carvalho are that good. Lucio is better than all of them.

Ramos is a donkey def, that gets away with loads coz he plays for false mardid.

I agree.

Pato has the pace and mobility, but the rest of the midfield is just so static. As our team is now, I do not see us threatening Inter or Juve for the Scudetto, and not threatening anybody in the CL, probably not even the second tier teams we might meet in the group stage....

If there is a player that Milan should take from the list is Sneider since Higuain, Huntelar are too similar to Boriello IMO (phisically and tipically). Robben is too injury prone but should be actually could be a super sub for our forward like Serginho did some years ago. The problem with Sneider, that can play on the left sid of CM, is his wage. I don't know how much he earns in Madrid but should be pretty much and for this kind of quality Milan shouldn't go more than 3 mil euros per year IMO.

actually huntelaar is more like pippo. he's not a real target man like borriello. Huntelaar isnt good enough for Milan or Madrid so we dont need him. VD Vaart or sneijder, I dont know, it could work but I prefer Hernanes! and I dont think they could come cheap so. higuain is another story, I think he's great, one of the few real madrid players who did perform in recent years. But I dont think they want to sell him becouse of that.

I have a question. If we get 3 Non EU spots, does that mean that we can take up Hernanes, Miranda AND Dzeko?

I was wondering how the Thiago Silva thingy worked? Does it count as last seasons signing? Or this seasons?

Oh, by the way, if we can't take all three, can we take up one of them on loan with the option to buy in the next transfer market? Just wondering how the market works, cause I have absolutely no idea...

Oh, and if it's any indication, Thiago himself mentioned Miranda as being very good. In the previous two years, they came first and second in the best defender category back in Brazilian league (both 1st one year and 2nd the other year).
