Galliani is in Paris to finalize deals for Dzeko and Cissokho. Why Paris you say? For Cissokho it makes sense, but for Dzeko less so. Apparently, Galliani wants to finalize everything for Dzeko by tomorrow, and has asked Wolfsburg agents to meet him there.

Also, Galliani will meet with Abramovich to see if his interest in Pirlo and Gattuso is real.

Cissokho is a left-back and is 22. Apparently he had a very good season for Porto, and impressed against Man U.

If these reports are to be believed, Milan are really rebuilding.

Here's an interesting video of Cissokho, he's really fast and physical he would be a nice addition.

I dont know about Cissokho but I know Fernando of Porto is such a great player and would be a good replacement for Pirlo.

Do we have any chance of signing G.Rossi?

If I understood correctly you are asking if Antonini can play as a CB.

I think the answer is NO. He has never played as a CB and I doubt he can be transformed into one. As a matter of fact he started his career as a wide midfielder as far as I know.

We're seriously after Cissokho ?? (that doesn't make much sense in Paris as he plays in Porto )

He is known as the next big thing for the LB position in France after his (first) season in Porto. The problem is he played in Portuguese league only, but he also made very good games in CL, so ... let's go for him !!

PS: For once, I'm ok with a French player !!

Jankulovski is one to be sold next summer. Rumour that Janks going to Roma alongside Shevchenko. Cissokho would be a nice addition, fast and strong and also very young (class 1987). we are ready to build a new Milan with more reasonable cost of investments and slimmer salary structure. Dzeko, Chissoko and maybe the addition of Hernanes and Miranda/Alex Silva (waiting for the limit of non-EU signed per year change)

Do you notice how the targets are different (if we believe the reports) comparing to the last years ??

I think Leonardo asked for some positions to be improved and gave a list to our management ... let's see what will happen during the next weeks, and it will also be interesting to see, if we sign some of these targeted players, how we will react on the following mercato ...

Wow. If that's true and Milan can get this thing done with both Dzeko and Cissokho, I'll be happier than I've been in a long time. Cissokho is going to be a big time player very soon. He was absolutely brilliant against Manchester United in the Champions League. I know Bayern and Lyon have been sniffing around him lately. Supposedly Lyon offered 8 million euros for him and were turned down. Porto is said to want 14. (I also read that Lyon offered 23 for both Cissokho and Lisandro Lopez, prompting Porto to laugh at them). So he won't come cheap, but I think he would definitely be worth a fairly sizeable investment.

Even i don't mind to pay 20 mil euro....he's only 21 and a proven starlet. and the main problem is we are in dire need of rejuvenating the squad.

Good morning from melbourne, Australia!
Here is an interesting article which will no doubt be music to Milan suppoter's ears (cough cough). Apoligies if you have already seen it:

Berlusconi Will Not Spend Huge Amounts For Milan Anymore - Sacchi
The former Rossoneri boss says that the club must move forward by being fiscally responsible from now on...
12 Jun 2009 22:42:19

The sale of Kaka to Real Madrid reportedly balanced the books for AC Milan and former coach of the club, Arrigo Sacchi, believes that president Silvio Berlusconi will no longer invest as heavily as he did in the past.

"[Carlo] Ancelotti and Kaka are two major losses, but necessary ones," the ex-Real Madrid director said in an interview with Sportitalia.

"Berlusconi is no longer willing to shell out mass money for Milan, the club must move forward on their own accord. In the past, Milan was a leader in innovation and expertise, now they have bought few players that have been below par."

Meanwhile, he was asked who else he thought could leave the Rossoneri this summer, but gave no definite answers.

"[Andrea] Pirlo maybe, but I think [Gennaro] Gattuso will remain."

On the other side of the coin, Milan have reportedly agreed a pre-contract with Edin Dzeko and are now attempting to negotiate an acceptable deal with his club, German champions Wolfsburg.

Adam Scime, Goal.com

My advice, if you are not willing to provide, JUST leave Berlusconi!

Saliwonczyk, you should read some of the last posts ... someone already mentionned what said Sacchi. Anyway, Sacchi has no real role in Milan nowadays, how can he say "this guy will leave" ?

Rick, actually Porto is willing to negotiate with Lyon (it's why I'm surprised we are after Cissokho) for Lopez and Cissokho.
Lopez price was fixed by Porto around 18M, so it's why the offer of 23M for both Cissokho and Lopez was denied ... if Lyon puts 3-4M in more, they will probably be able to negotiate with the players.

Totally sorry, you know how it is when you wake up! Anyway, certainly not good news. From here, we must scout well for talented young players, and devlop our youth system so it can match that of Barca's! This news could have a positive side to it, as it will mean we will stop chasing pointless players that demand too higher wages and transfer fees.
