Six months ago everyone of us was really after the management for not having young legs in the defence. Now we have Mattioni, Thiago Silva and Aly Cissokho. So it is fantastic to have all of these young guys in the team. well done to the management.

Even the word 'adequate' is an exaggeration Ario. Enough is enough, buddy. We're heading to the wrong direction if we still have a 39 year old in our bench.

Anyway, welcome on board Ally..

Galliani's interview in Gazzetta dello Sport 2 days ago... Mattioni, Senderos and one of those guys who never played (I think the Colombian central defender) were released.

Thanks Sant. You meant Hurtado? Or Shevchenko (since that what I read here as far as I remember).

I think this could turn out to be a fantastic purchase. Obviously nothing is ever a cetainty, but if he settles in then i think we'll have a great player for our side.

As with many, i saw him v man utd in the old trafford match and he just never stopped running. His energy just seemed limitless, up and down the left-flank all game. He's obviously rough round the edges and i think he's a bit over-priced, but it's a definite step in the right direction.

Every purchase we make this summer will probably be over-priced, but there's not alot we can do about that.

Zambrotta - Nesta (hopefully) - Silva - Cissokho ... that's a good balance of youth, pace and experience and if all fit that should be our starting defence.

Hurtado is playing for the Seattle Sounders this year. It was Sheva who was sent back along with Mattioni and Senderos.

Not sure what is considered as fantastic when you are able to mark C80 and Rooney quite successfully over the league of two games. Still rooms for improvement, but he is relatively young (isn't that what we are looking for?!)

I dont know what you are pointing to, but yes we want young, but young and good, not just young. We have that in our youth system :0

Are u pple seriously saying he's not worth it? Hardly did ronaldo or rooney or even anybody get pass him...He's very very very fast...talented young defender...the fans say they want defenders not just any but young defenders...we get defenders and we're complaining that he's not worth it...No good talents now adays come cheap...He's like a bug that'll never go away from what i saw from d Man U's match..If not for ronaldo's 40 yd goal, man u would've found it difficult to really impose themselves on dat game...that goal eased things...He has a really bright future
