Inter-imovic........you see the connection?
About the debate here about who's happy and who's not, etc. Let's wait for the mercato to hit full stride before we come here and criticize people and calling for their heads. And all this....."we can't win CL next year" talk is crazy too in my opinion and is here way too early. Don't think I'm crazy.....I'm a realist and I agree that we might not be CL favorites next year......but that doesn't mean anything. I will mention Barcelona again. Untill people saw the amazing football that they played this past season, nobody thought much of them. They sold Ronaldinho and had a washed up Henry who went back into form....sort of like what some people are expecting of Ronaldinho. They also had Eto' who was up and down in form and quite frankly not many were expecting for him to have the kind of season that he had. Let's go back to another of their signings Keita....a good player but no world beater by any means. But he proved solid. Another guy was Pique....a young CB who was never a leader of a defense in a big team. He was let of of Man U because of surplus. Yes he wanted first team football too, but that wasn't going to be a given in Barca either with Milito, Puyol, Marquez. Let's also put Busquets in there who had an immense season, yet not much was expected of him. So the only signing that they made and was kind of given to be huge for them was Alves, if we kind of don't mention Hleb. I am not completely comparing Barca to Milan by any means. So please don't come to me with the argument that they had a strong foundation of players in their prime like Xavi and Iniesta + a genius like Messi , yet we don't have that and on and on etc. I am just comparing the situations and the similarity of the transfer targets and the transfer market that they did last year and that we MAY make this year. So that's why.......let's lay of the "I am not expecting much in the CL" next year at least until the season starts and we see how the team that is built performs. After all.....nothing good came out of all the favorite tags that we were given this season.

AC Milan continue to chase Wolfsburg starlet Edin Dzeko, but apparently already have a back up plan in place should they fail to convince the Bundesliga champions to part ways with the Bosnian striker.
The Rossoneri will then turn their attention to prolific Porto striker Lisandro Lopez, according to Goal.com Italia. The 26-year-old has blossomed at the Estadio do Dragao over the past two seasons and helped Porto in their run to the Champions League quarterfinals in 2008-09. Overall, he bagged 16 goals in all competitions and has become a part of the Argentina national team set-up. Vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted the Italian club are searching for a hitman in order to add some more potency to their attack, especially after selling Brazilian maestro Kaka to Real Madrid. However, Milan may have to fight off competition from Lyon, should they decide to make a move for the Porto man. Besides Dzeko and Lisandro, Arsenal bomber Emmanuel Adebayor has also been linked on-and-off with a move to San Siro. Adam Scime, Goal.com

Dzeko is in reach, says Galliani
Monday 15 June, 2009 Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has revealed Wolfsburg are willing to sell star striker Edin Dzeko after all. The 23-year-old Bosnia international, who scored 32 goals in 34 games last season, is also wanted by Arsenal. Last week, amid interest from Milan, Wolfsburg issued a statement saying Dzeko is not for sale at any price. Unperturbed, the Rossoneri continued to negotiate and now appear to have a chance of landing the Bundesliga Player of the Year. “Our market is actually as follows,” Galliani told Telelombardia. “We followed Cissokho for a year, and we already have Thiago Silva with us. “The next objective is Dzeko on whom we await the moves of Wolfsburg. The argument that he is not for sale has been overcome. “However, if he were not to come to Milan we would need a player of similar characteristics,” Galliani concluded. Milan are currently in a phase of reconstruction after the sale of Kaka and retirement of Paolo Maldini. Good news about Dzeko finally, now I pray they agree the price.

Now we're linked with Lisandro Lopez...

Besides Dzeko and Lisandro, Arsenal bomber Emmanuel Adebayor has also been linked on-and-off with a move to San Siro. Well from what I've seen from Porto Lisandro Lopez isn't really the class forward that we need. Remember seeing him put the last foot on a ball heading for goal while standing in an offside position. Dumbest thing I've seen ... |

That's great news about Dzeko... I hope Leo's scouting skills is enough to convince both Berlu and uncle Fester to sign the young star players, not free washed up players...
and I hope Leo's sees Dzeko as much better Adebayor... I'm sure Wenger will go for Dzeko if we don't... I don't know much about Lisandro, but scoring 16 goals in the Portugese league doesn't really inspire much... |

if Milan are going to attempt to sign lopez from porto as backup for missing out on Dzeko i will be content with that choice. I have seen lopez at Porto he can shoot from range his fast and keen eye for goal. to honest i would of hoped that milan missed out on Dzeko they would sign rossi or acquafresca or kerrison. Adebayor is just not a good option at all we would be better signing kanu.

I just saw G. Rossi's goal live.. PLEASE MILAN SIGN HIM! He came on for just 2 minutes, he won the ball in midfield, sprinted and shot a fantastic left footer from distance. He's been proving himself every where he's gone. He's a Milan fan too. He's Italian. He's young. What's there not to like?
