And his choice for italy is logical, his parents are Italian, he is a parma youth player and his name couldnt be more italian.

Oh, no, I don't blame him for choosing Italy at all. I know a lot of U.S. fans hold a grudge against hiim because he could have meant so much to the national team, but I understand completely that Italy is his family's heritage and that Italy also gives him a chance to lift the World Cup. I think the day will come when that happens for the U.S., but it would be a huge surprise over the next few World Cups (even if Rossi were on the team).

It would be worse, of course, if he went to Inter, but I'm not thrilled with the thought of him playing for Juve either. Hopefully (barring interest from Milan) Sir Alex will buy him back for United now that Ronaldo is leaving and it appears Tevez may as well. Then maybe in a few years he could move to Milan.

By the way, supposedly an Italian club has shown interest in Tevez. Anyone have any idea which club?

I'm not sure that Rossi wants to go back to Manchester ...
He would be a hell of a signing for us, maybe if Pirlo does 3-4 assists for him in this Confederations Cup, our management will give a look at him ??

Anyway, what is important isn't the price when he came in Villareal but the clause in his contract (as if I'm not wrong, most of the players in Spain have a clause to leave).

The clause release fee is normally a crazy sum, it is only made so that any other club can't buy the player. What counts is his recent performance. His price when he came to Villareal should be important thing. If Villareal paid 15-20 mil for Rossi, no way Villareal want to sell the player below the price they paid for the player except the player's performance is sinking.

No because I don't know if he signed any improved contract last year, but his clause was at start around 20M ...

Anyway, don't expect a lower price than 30-35M for him.

It could be true, but 20 mil ?euros? is pretty low for a release clause if it's true what wiki wrote (10 mil euros).

Villareal will ask the price you wrote but his market price should be around 20 mil euros IMO (without looking at what Real did recently of course).

Bring Drogba or at least Adebayor for our frontline!

Yep Siregar, I'm pretty sure about his clause, but I think he signed a new contract last year and the clause has been increased ...

20M was high because when he came to Villareal, he was an unproven talent and almost never played in Manchester ...

He definitely wants to play in Italy. I would imagine if United were willing to fork over enough of that Ronaldo money they could get him to go back for a few years, though -- especially if none of the Italian teams seem to want him badly enough. I agree that he'd be terrific for Milan. I don't know why there's never a link. It would be great if he and Pirlo could hook up on some goals in these upcoming games. A couple of especially brilliant plays against Brazil on Sunday might get Milan's attention.
