Remember, Serie A is not like in the past (top stars came to Serie A). We MUST be smart.
He doesn't have to the any of those names, at least we now have made a move that the entire football world goes "wow, what a great move, young and huge prospect and they got him at a really good price"...

unlike our many many moves lately where the world goes "what the hell are they thinking, signing this 33 yr old washed up player?"

These days a brand is not what you advertise or what the management shouts out... is what the consumer says it is... and everyone has been saying that the Milan brand is now a retirement home for fading stars...

hopefully a few more moves like these will go a long way to repair the tarnished Milan brand...

Credit is due when it's due, and have to say great work Galliani, hope he keeps it up!

Looking forward to Dzeko...

I pity Saviola, he's been from club to club, only to sit on the bench.... hope he makes the right move this time around, coz he's not entirely a bad player....

I would take VDV & Sneijder in a heart beat....

Would leave Huntelaar as the hype on Dzeko is just too great at this point in time...

Yes. Signing big names cost much money not only for transfer fee BUT also for wages. I am in with recent management's decision, to build a new team (but not completely new) with the combination of young and fresh players with experienced ones.

What's with the numbers. Are those the expected prices that Real will probably ask for?

If so, then i'm confused about that because many of those numbers look odd.

It's from some Croatian portal.....I'm not sure what those numbers mean also, but probably what they ask for......it's not official anyway

28 for van nistelrooy is a joke

Anyway, I dont want any of those. Maybe robben or diarra if they could come in cheap but thats not gonna happen.

Whether or not they are iffy numbers is another question but yes nefremo.
Selling all those players would make their summer spending look like a summer sale, that's almost 160million there.

Yea, that's why I said that it's confusing.

Because they want 28mil for Van Nistelrooy. Who even though has an unbeliavable scoring record.......has 32 years next to his name and has been injured for the whole season. No sane person would pay that much for Ruud and Real should be happy if they even get 15 for him.

Also, They paid around 15mil for Drenthe....and even though he's caused some disciplinary problems and hasn't fulfilled his potential that he showed on the U21 championships....he still is a young, talented and an explosive 22 year old player. Many people don't give him a second look because of his issues, but he has some good attributes as a player on the field and 5mil is a great deal. (Not necessarily for Milan, but I'm talking in general)

Van Der Vaart may sound right at 18mil, but Real only paid around 13/14 mil for him.......and now they clearly don't want him. So why would someone pay them 18. It makes no sense.

Regardless, I would like to see both VDV and Sneijder in Milan if possible, given that we might not be able to sign Hernanes.

Oh, and the U-21 Team is playing in 14 minutes, good place to look for up-and-coming prospects?

I agree on all counts. I've always liked Saviola and never understood why he hasn't been playing full time for somebody all along.

And I've said all along that the two guys I wish Milan would buy from Real Madrid are Van der Vaart and Sneijder.
