To me ZZ is probably the closest.

The thing is that at the time when Baggio was playing(prime), people can still compare him to Maradona, Guilit, Platini, even Zico and Socrates as the memory of them were still fresh. While when ZZ came to dominate, there was not anyone shortly before him who people can compare to beside Baggio and Laudrup. Well Ronaldo was there too, but he was great mainly due to his explosiveness more than his football skills.

What I am seeing now is how Messi is carrying himself, and to me thats the closest player to Baggio's level right now.

looks like the Cissokho deal is falling apart. Milan want to take him on loan next year with an option to buy or want Port to reduce their price and Porto won't agree to either. Galliani doesn't seem too confident in him arriving

Gee, more BS from the management about their refusal to spend money on useful players. I really, REALLY wish I could say that this was surprising, but sadly, I cannot. The current management is beyond ridiculous. I can't even look at Galliani's face any more without getting furious the second I see him. At this moment in time, I just have one question, when will AC Milan have a competent management again? The future of this team look so grim right now that I am afraid to even look.

it's official, no Cisso at Milan.
Now, I want Hernanes Huntelaar (cheaper than Dzeko) and Drenthe, immediately
while I hope the rule of 2 no EU players change.

Are you guys serious?

Cissokho practically failed a medical. I am really glad we're not buying him. The deal was in place to get him. I think the loan is the best option--if not, we should go for another player. Sorry, but if a player has an iffy medical (and admits it by the way himself), then I would not want him at Milan.

Cissokho and his agents admitted that the medical uncovered some problems. I think this transfer was all set to go. The guy obviously is not healthy.

It's all over. Gazzetta has it on the front page.

I was just looking on Channel4 who is reporting that Juve are struggling to sign Rossi and Diarra. As much as I cant stand Juve, I love the fact that they are gunning for Italian players. Being tipped with Grosso, Dossena, Rossi, D'Agostino... I would love if Milan had the same approach.

I would love if Milan gunned for a Dossena, D'Ago, Rossi swoop this summer. Add Zapata, Mexes, or Santa in the middle, and i'm happy!!

Milan shouldn't sign a player who failed a medical, that's for sure, but we have to look at the source of the failed physical. Once again, it's a tooth problem! A problem that even a medical expert said shouldn't be that big of a deal and is easily treatable. Even if the bad teeth can lead to muscle issues, that kind of problem have to build up for years before they even start to take effect on a person. A 21 years old player should have absolutely no problem with it whatsoever.

If Milan really took his physical that seriously, they should've just cancelled the whole deal rather than "demanding" a discount. If a player can't play, then Milan shouldn't sign him for any kind of money. The fact that the discount was involved proves that the physical is just a bunch of crap used by Galliani to slimeball his way into lowering Cissokho's price.

You want to know what the scariest thing about this is? I just realized that Milan don't have 15 million euros to sign a player after receiving over 80 million euros from selling its own stars two weeks ago. Wow! Just Wow!

The player himself admitted that there was a problem! He was in on it too? And are you a doctor? We're certainly cheap, but in this case we are not buying him because of health problems.

I think a loan is a good option or we don't go in for it at all. I'm with Galliani on this one.

absolutely agree...i'm also worried that we might not even have 15 mil to spare.

end of the season, we'll sign no one...management is just cooking up some news...then management can have the excuse of saying...we tried signing fantastic prospects like Cissokho, but he failed medical...Dzeko, but Wolfsburg does not wanna release him, bla, bla...

I don't really know where you got that from, but the only thing I read was that Cissokho said they found some problems during the physical, not that he actually has a health problem that effects his play. I might not be a doctor, but I also had problematic teeth and had to deal with dentists quite often. So, while I am no expert, I know a little more than absolutely nothing. Once again, Milan didn't decide not to buy him, they wanted to use this so called "failed physical" to lower the price! They didn't give up the deal because he failed the physical, but rather asked for a discount because of it. If their logic stands, Cissokho would've passed the physical if he costed 12 million rather than 15 million. Does that make sense to you?

Like I said before, a tooth problem is hardly going to do significant damage to a 21 year old kid. So, a six months loan, or whatever the hell length Galliani wanted would've been absolutely useless to determine his actual health. For a such popular player, Galliani's demand is basically meaningless as Porto has no problem whatsoever holding onto him or sell to the next highest bidder. If this is the way Galliani does business, then feel free to cheer for the new Milan starting LB Favalli.
