Gago is a kind of player that Inter would sign few years back, you know, those years when they used to just sign weird players.

Other than possibly EU allocation issues why is this year a transition?

God I have enough going on in my life now without worrying about Milan signing players , just sign Buffon , Vidic , Clichy , Iniesta , Messi and Torres and I need worry no more.

I think i'd be very happy if it turned out like that. What i'm trying to say is that the major change should happen next year. This year is a transition.
Somehow it kind of feels like we've been in transition for the past 2 years now, but heck, if it means we'll be challenging for the title in a years time for the next 10 years, I'm all for it.

Unfortunately, I have this forboding feeling of dread that most of those players on your wishlist will be snapped up by other clubs by the time 2010-2011 comes around, and I definitely don't mean by us.

Gago isnt a needed player, even if Pirlo leaves.Gago hasnt that fine touch to be a real playmaker and in defense he isnt that good,i say keep Pirlo unless Chelsea wants to overpay. We should go for Melo not Gago!

The RW-position is covered Mrki!We have 2 great young talentful players there,Pato is there as a starter and Abate is the backup, again we are forgetting the talents we have at other clubs that are coming back.Albertazzi,Abate and Strasser are the only ones who really can add something to the senior team and we should give them the chance.Abate is one of the most promising talents of Italy, given him a backup role is just fine, same for Albertazzi.

Barca gave Busquets the chance and look what he has done in one season: starter at Barca(even in the big games in CL)and he is making allots of minutes at the NT of Spain.

Albertazzi and Abate are the future,we should reward them with a backup role!Their good enough IMO.

I definitely agree
Well, No one can tell if they're gonna be good enough or not, but sure do deserve a chance.

Finally someone agrees!

We scream for younger good players, while we have them in our youth academy, sure we shouldnt give them all the space, but we have to give them a chance before we we load young players from other teams into Milan!

BTW:

Some reports at tuttomercatoweb are linking us with Lucio and A.Santos from Brazil.

Apparently Van Gaal, coach of Bayern Munich, thinks that Lucio is not needed and wants to give the youth a chance(Breno etc.)so we are linked with him.

Also that A.Santos is interesting. Both are superb,Lucio is a Worldclass CB,something we need.He really impressed me at the Confederations Cup.Great technique etc.He has everything,he isnt the youngest but he is worth the cash.He only has one year left on his contract so he will come cheap! Can it be better!

A.Santos...dont know him,but his performance for Brazil was solid,if the Cissokho deal fails,he is a good backup option,he can play on the whole wing.

Also,i say Eboue of Arsenal is a free agent i think, why dont we move for him.Great player, can play as RM,RB AND EVEN CB!And he is solid there!

Well, that's one small reason, I guess.

I get the feeling that Milan want's to completely overhaul their wage structure. Players like Ambro and Dida are being paid far more than they're worth, and we can't get rid of them just by selling them (Ambro maybe) so we'll keep them both until the end of the season.

Others, like Pirlo, Gattuso and Seedorf are different, they're on longer contracts but we can't sell them for what they were worth 3 or 4 years ago (maybe Pirlo would get 20, but not much more) but they can still be very effective this year. Getting rid of them now and try to add 6 new players to the starting 11 is too much of a change, especially with the Leo transition. Gattuso-Pirlo works for now, but it won't last more than a year or two.

Maybe I was wrong, and what I meant to say was that the transition has to last longer. It's not a one summer deal and we're set. The balance of the team is very delicate, and you don't want to rip of the crucial elements, without letting the new ones find their groove.

Apparently A. Santos is available for 5M euro's as far as I know... Pretty cheap for a Brazilian international.

Dzeko will come,he wants to come and his agent is pushing him to Milan,i think the difference between the asking price and what Milan wants to pay isnt that big,and that they will overcome that stumble next week.

PFFFFFFF WHAT 5 MILLION FOR HIM?

Forget Cissokho and sign Santos,5 million for that guy is really a dream price, much cheaper than Aly and although he isnt as strong and beasty as Aly,he seems to have a good technique and is speedy.

Yup, it's damn cheap. It's his agent that said he was available for that amount though, channel4.com. The problem is that he doesn't have a EU-passport though, this means no Dzeko or Hernanes unless the new rule gets approved.

I'm sure all the major clubs are watching the Confederations cup so any player that sticks out, won't be cheap to get.
