By the way, this is probably the most refreshing day of mercato so far:

- Milan looking to pounce for Dzeko tomorrow night. If not, they have 3 suitable replacements if needed
- Milan and Fabregas link is ALL OVER the place. Newspapers from Spain, Italy, and England are reporting
- Milan to hijack D'Ago deal if Fabregas doesnt come
- Roma takover bid fails to pave road for Mexes

Fabregas isn't coming to Milan. It's just a bunch of paper crap based on Cesc saying if he were to move to Italy, it would be to Milan. But if he leaves Arsenal it will be for Spain, not Italy. But he just reiterated yesterday that he's not leaving Arsenal.

Quote:
"For anyone who is unclear or may have misunderstood what my position is, let me make myself absolutely crystal clear," he said. "I am wholeheartedly committed to Arsenal and my future lies with this great club. The spirit in this squad is fantastic and we have the ability and mentality to compete on all fronts for silverware.

"I continue to say the same thing over and over again, but it appears that every time I have spoken to the Spanish media recently, my words have bounced back to England, leaving question marks about my future."

Well I doubt he would reject Milan if he was given the oportunity. Players flee Arsenal all the time, and he's Spanish so it's not like he'll never leave England. And we have Flamini, his good friend, in our squad.

EXACTLY! Let's not forget the pairing that Flamini and Fabregas make

Cesc has great friends at Arsenal and at Barcelona as well. And Arsenal isn't going to give him a little shove to get him out the door (he's already their captain). When he leaves Arsenal, it's probably about 75% likely to be for Barcelona, maybe 24% likely for Real Madrid and 1% likely it would be for anywhere else. So I wouldn't get my hopes up.

According to milannews.it the 3rd EU spot law has been rejected, so chances of getting Hernanes and Dzeko are 0.

Arsenal won't want to lose him but if we make a substantial offer I'm sure we can get them to consider a sale. He is most likely to return to Barca, but it would be a shame not to even try should we look for a Pirlo replacement. Technically, Cesc is amazing, his runs are superb, his passing is excellent and his vision is probably as good as Pirlo's, which is one of the key reasons he is so good.

If Pirlo leaves we don't just need Cesc. We need Cesc AND a central midfielder who can attack and defend well because we lack penetration from the midfield which leaves our midfield and attack very disjointed.

EDIT: not to mention our replacement for Kaka...unless that person is supposed to be Dinho?

****.

I guess D'Agostino is now our prime Pirlo replacement.

Unless Parma buy Hernanes and loan him out to us with an option to buy.

Yes, it is possible. But that is a so called 'hole in the system' and I doubt Milan at this point (with Berlu being the PM) will use that option.

AC Milan Will Be Competitive On All Fronts - Adriano Galliani
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani reassured the fans that the club will be competitive next season.
26 Jun 2009 20:27:45

After the sale
of Kaka to Real Madrid, AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has reassured the fans repeatedly that no other big name players are leaving the club. Nevertheless, rumours still persist that midfield star Andrea Pirlo is set to join his former coach Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea.

Today Galliani again made some reassuring statements about the club's situation after a meeting held between the management and various sponsors at Villa Simius.

"Last year we earned more money than the year before despite not taking part in the Champions League," he said to Repubblica.it.

"Our sponsors know there is a difference between us and other Italian clubs. From 2000 until today, aside from brief periods, we have always been competitive, and we are the only ones who have won outside Italy.

"It will be the same next season, we will be competitive on all fronts."

Last season the Rossoneri finished third, which will allow them direct entry into the Champions League group stages.

Man he is full of b*it..

Fabregas will not come to us, i mean really people,Fabregas in Milan.....please stop drinking...

Like someone said here,if Fab leaves Arsenal it will be for sure for Spain,Barca as headcandidates and Real as second choice. He wont come to Italy and i acctually think that IF we could pay him(Arsenal wont ask 35 million but at least 40 million)then i am convinced he will refuse us as he wants to stay at Arsenal and he also doesnt fancy Serie A,if he leaves he wants to go to Spain IMO.

But even if he wants to come,if cant pay him he is to expensive,it is a stupid dream to think that the guy cost 35 million, maybe last year but Arsenal isnt so stupid to ask 35 million when there rival is selling their superstar for 94(!!!)million,they are going to follow that example.

I am happy that we signed Zigoni from Treviso,he seems to be a big talent and he can be a big player for Milan in the future, being the new big striker in our squad in a couple of years.

There are rumours that are linking Oddo to Juve, but i think its rubbish and Oddo himself said that he is going to stay, wich i dont like but he will be benched so let him rot there, the guy is really crap.

I hope Dzeko can push for a transfer to Milan,if it fails than we will end up with Adebayor, not a bad player but i prefer Dzeko like the rest of us.I really hope Dzeko comes,he is the perfect guy for the job.

I still think we should contract Eboue, the guy is free and very versatile,he can play as CB,RB and RM,even as RW. And he plays solid on each position. He is also young and very talented, fast and has a good technique,Zambro can move to left and Eboue as RB.We should get him.

Pirlo will probably leave, the new EU-Place has been rejected so now Hernanes etc. if Dzeko comes,i think Felipe Melo is the best option is Pirlo leaves.
