Wow, a little while ago it seemed almost certain we'd sign both Cissokho and Dzeko, and now our mercato is virtually going backwards.

Atleast we renewed with Favalli...

So according to what Galliani said, are we going after Luis Fabiano now? Or Adebayor? Fabiano is the better option, though he's no youngster. In the 2007-08 season for the first 7 months or so he was absolutely unplayable, but since he's been a bit inconsistent.

Well that has always been my main concern. Times have changed and decent players cost money. So Milan is priced out before we even start.

Then there's Galliani who I don't think is capable of bringing us a competive squad for next season. Money isnt everthing though. I really think Napoli is going the right way about it and will surprise people next season. They are building a really good squad.

I distinctly remember how much criticism the German defence came under in the last Euros.

Same with World Cup 2006. Germany in that world cup were praised for their attacking play under Klinsmann, but their defence again was considered the weak spot of the side.
Mertesacker has often been a liability but he's produced wonderful performances (though with great inconsistency) against top teams., I recall he owned Rooney and Owen in their friendly at Wembley a couple of years back.

Maybe you're right.. he's good but not good enough for Milan.

I'm sorry, but I have to reply on this one:

It's just football......if for example you needed a new kidney, would Milan give a damn about you or your best friend?

Its funny to watch this thread evolve. We as Milan fans have become so gullible.

People are praying for players like Dzeko and Sissokho when in reality they offer no guarantees. And now we have Favalli with an extended contract. And then we are supposed to be surprised, we were given clues a few months a go when we were told Thiago needed Favalli's experience next to him. Our expectations are knocked down further by the day, but somehow we still believe these bastards are going to run the club properly.

Just settle for nothing less the mediocrity from now on. A season where we will be dependeent on:

An unproven manager
An 18 year old who is by far our best player
A former great (Ronnie) who has a long way to go
Boriello the glass man (For us anyway), Pippo amazing when fit
A midfield that offers no running power, alot of grit and strength , but no where near enough creativity
An unproven defender in Thiago
Another season of 30 something fullbacks
Favalli or Kaladze or Bonera
Lets pray Abbiati stays fit

Favalli with a new contract? My god... That is the way to start a new circle with " young and fast team" ( Galliani ).

Galliani is incompetent, its rudiculous...

The issue with Milan is we can't afford any of our best young players leave or any talented senior players. In addition Milan have keep players like seedorf and favalli who are rapidly decreasing in ability. The Milan team is very uncompetitive with the entire first team verging on the age of 30 and above. In addition Milan have a significant amount of players in certain areas of the pitch and a complete lack of players in other parts of the pitch i.e. defensive midfield we have Flamini Gattuso Ambrosini and Pirlo but in left back position we only have Jankulovski maybe Antonini and in addition in the big strong centre forward role we only have Borriello.

In terms of a replacement Ronaldinho may prove to be be a outstanding but there is a reason why he cost less than 20 million euros and kaka cost almost 70 million. Ronaldinho isn't the same type of person as kaka he is selfish and lazy and sometimes aggressive. Kaka best feature was his personality he always put the team interest ahead of his own. In addition age is the most compelling factor with him nearing 30 next season what kind of long term option does he offer to Milan.

Finally what make me most resentful is the fact that Milan isn't combating the causes of its financial problems. We have retained a significant amount of players over the age of 30 who command a average wage of 4-5 million euros. Milan still have 10 players on 50/50 ownership who will probably never play for Milan. In addition Milan fail to sell the vast majority of the primavera squad each season retaining the likes of willy aubameyang who draws pay without kicking a ball.

Last year we have earned more then year back when we palyed the CL. Money is not an issue in Milan, we have the money. If Juve has the money, so do we. We dont want to spend it, Berlusconi just keeps it. That is all.

New circle with Oddo, Favalli, Kaladze, Seedorf has started. Next stop is the same of Pirlo for 25mln, who will be replaced by a cheeper player with smaller wages.

Good news is that now we can sign Hernanes when Wolfsburg doesnt have to sell Dzeko(becouse they are not bastards like people in Milan). That is of course if his club will sell for 10mln or so...

Metersacker - there is no need to even comment on this. This is a low point for ac milan. player like him can go and play for Udnese at BEST.

Bravo Galliani, you rule the market! Now sell PAto to ballance the yachts....oh, books...

Alot of negativity towards eachother here. If you don't like a person and don't want to read their posts anymore you can just press their name, press user list and add them to ignore list. Problem solved.

What about Valencia? I'm sure a club like Milan could attract some of their players and some of them are great.
