I've watched him play at Fulham, he's a workhorse with pace and good positioning. Not quite as technical as most Milan players, but hey we just need someone to run with the ball and make intelligent passes, no? Plus, he's like an attacking version of Flamini who can play on the left!

On one hand you guys talk about how Galliani lies, and then you believe the football media, which isn't exactly known for its honesty either. So, before we rush to conclusions, let's just wait until things are official. How about that?

Someone said that Milan this last season was not Scudetto-quality. I disagree, if we were not injured, Milan would have pushed Inter for the scudetto. Of that, I am very sure. Do you remember how Milan were playing before Gattuso got hurt? It was incredible, we were winning ugly games and beautiful games. Gattuso's injury really hurt the team, he was playing out of his skin and Milan were topping the table.

Boriello, Gattuso, Nesta, Kaka all were hurt for major periods (Boriello and Nesta the entire season) so honestly, if you look at the money that was poured into Milan last summer, it was over 40 million. Plus Thiago Silva was bought over the winter break. And Pato was bought for 18 million before that.

Again, I don't think Milan's job is done. I don't think Galli thinks his job is done either. I don't see why Favalli would be a bad back-up, and I also have more faith in Bonera, I think he can become an above-average player who can put in good shifts.

Wolfsburg would have LOVED to officially announced Dzeko's stay, but they haven't. Why? Because they know the player wants to leave, and that will force Wolfsburg's hand.

Cissoko? I'd like to see him at Milan, but if he doesn't come, it isn't the end of the world. Oddo is a good player, I don't know why people have fuzzy memories of how he played in 2007, and Bayern had bigger problems than Oddo this season, so Oddo's less-than-spectacular form for Bayern is an issue bigger than just Oddo.

Oddo--Nesta--T. Silva--Zambro is not a bad backline, but I am sure that Milan will add to that backline, it is obvious that Galli knows that (he didn't go after Cissoko just to tell the fans it was off).

Just be patient. Teams might have all ready bought players, but let's be honest here, Juve and Inter are not teams in transition. Juve was last year, they went through what we're going to go through this coming year (hopefully we'll turn out better than a Ranieri-led team) Inter knew what they needed, and that was a replacement for the strikers they were losing and the midfielders they were losing. Quick-fix? Milito and Motta. Frankly, two players I would not want to have. Motta is injury-prone (as if we need another injury-prone player?) and Milito has trouble when he's not the attacking-focus of the team. Are those who you want?

Milan is replacing Kaka with Ronaldinho. The faster you understand that and make peace with it, the less you will be angry. It is a World Cup year, he wants to prove himself, and he is being given the chance to make his mark outside of Barca. Think Kobe without Shaq, and how motivated Kobe was/is because of that. Similar situation with Dinho. If he fails, then it was a gamble that failed, but to be honest, there really isn't anyone who can control a game like Dinho and Kaka, Messi and CR7 are so far, unproven at being able to do that.

I will not be talking about the management being stupid until the end of the transfer market, I am skeptical, but I am not damning them, because they have their work cut out for them. They just got a lot of money, and other teams know that, and they have to make sure they aren't being taken advantage, not just by other clubs, but by agents, and the new players themselves.

Great post, Samaldinho. Although i'm sure most people will still demand instant satisfaction and don't realize that the transfer window ends late August (it hasn't even opened yet!)

I may be guilty of lowering my expectations, but I think it's only fair, seeing as how we are restructuring. I also seem to be on the side that apologizes for the management more than usual, and I agree with Samaldinho that we should not even bother judging Galliani's performance until after the market closes. We should talk about players, and how they will fit the team.

The mercato indeed ends up in late August but the problem is that all the good players by that time are already settled.

P.S. i think Huntelaar is a good player, not so keen on Sneijder though

Not only can score, Ryo...the guy has amazing skills. The most underrated brazilian of the last 20 years.

Now seriously, Luis Fabiano broke all the goal records in Brazil, has a incredible goal average in Brazil NT(where several amazing players choke=Ronaldinho), and the most important: Always, I said, Always delievered in big games or when his team needed!!! Just ask Dunga how many times L. Fabiano save his job in Brazil NT.

But the guy play for Sevilla...it´s not a grife.

As I wrote here when he was A São Paulo player, and even Kaka asked Milan to buy him, he is the type of CF for a big team like Milan. We can´t be pleased just with a tall CF that was outplayed by Graffiti. We need a big guy that also is skilled and can play...

As I said several years ago(and was bashed), we did a mistake not buy him from São Paulo and Alex from Santos when we had a chance...

Let´s hope that I´m wrong about Dzeko, but I´m really not pleased with a CF just because he can headed Ronaldinho, Beckham cross...I like complete Center forwards...

I don't know the reasons your wrote it, probably the goals difference Dzeko and Grafite made in Bundesliga.

Grafite scored 28 goals from 25 games while Dzeko 26 from 32 games but 8 goals were made by Grafite from penalty kick while all goals from Dzeko were none from PK.

It's true that Grafite made more goals (from all competitions including German Cup and UEFA Cup) compare to Dzeko but Dzeko is much younger than Grafite. We should look at such players like Dzeko, quality young players (but not so young) who are not yet on the top of the world. Dzeko could be one-season wonder but Milan should take the risk otherwise Milan won't be able to get him because of his price if he starts to do the same like he did last season.
